Hey, been watching your channel for a while now, and have always wanted to paint, but simply haven't been able to. I have had no possibilty of teaching, and can hardly draw. But your videos are slowly helping me develop my own style, not just copying you. All that to say, people like you are a life saver, man. Especially for kids like me. Thanks man. Have a good day, or night!
You took a rather boring photo and effectively created a good painting. The color differences that you chose made it feel like your standing there. The warm green in foreground did it.
Love your style of painting. I have a question. I started out painting Bob Ross style. Now I have a lot of bad paintings. I want to paint over them, but I varnished them ?
You could remove the varnish and paint over them. Personally I would just paint a wash of white and burnt umber over the varnish and use those canvases while I am learning....knowing in a year or two I would want to discard those!
Can I offer an observation? The foreground area of green is only 1 value darker than the mid-ground greens. In your painting, there seems to be a greater value difference.
This was to increase the feel of distance, copying the photo would give a disappointing painting as I explained in the video. So I made a few changes. Thanks for watching.
Let me start my comment with Thank You for sharing your real time loose painting. I can learn so much from this.
Glad it was helpful!

Beautifull ! Would it be interesting in watercolor?
Oil for me would be the best option for this scene. In watercolour maybe with a few additional elements it could work 🤔
Do you use linaza oíl, or Liquin with your oíl colors???
I use a little linseed oil.
@@OilPaintingwithRobertMee thank you!!
