    until now I still use manual lens to capture dancers and events. at 1st it was really hard until I discovered focus peaking. and due to experience i develop eye and hands coordination. and ace manual focus, I love the shooting experience but having AF would make the experience astronomical.
    I'm still a student, i don't have funds to buy a new lens. I shoot for free most of the time. I have a decent working station that costs more than my 10-year old camera.
    just sharing. It's really hard to grow because most of my clients are always on budget. barely making $10 each event.

      To begin with, I would look at what kind of photographs this photographer takes before talking about money. And a camera from 10 years ago doesn’t mean anything, the 5D Mark III is 11 years old and it can produce a picture almost no worse than R 5

    That’s why I like fujifilm. Instead of eyeballing it like that, they have a mode where it’ll have red highlights around whatever is being focused so you essentially just want to see as much red as possible for the subject of the photo. Though if you half press the shutter button, it just shows what your looking at

    • @sawdust_shavings
      @sawdust_shavings ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can (and probably will) temporarily lose composition when you punch in to check focus, just punch out again and re-compose the shot after checking.

    If you are shooting with a zoom lens like a 24-105mm And want to make sure you’re really crispy try this: say you like your framing at 24mm, zoom into 105mm, then use the magnify button to further zoom in, set your focus, and then return the lens to 24mm to your original framing. Your will be completely in focus! Enjoy!
