I'm so glad I stumbled across you today. I have struggled with ornaments to the point I have up on doing them. You have inspired me to try again, but the way you do them. They are ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. Thank you for sharing how you do them, your recipes and how to varnish. ❤️
Thanks so much Stacey 🤎🧡for finding me!! Glad you’re here and hope I can help! How did you find me btw?
I made ornaments last year but not bloom ornaments! I started blooming about 6 months ago so I'm excited to make these! Thank you for a great tutorial!
Thank you and have fun. My first few were…eh, but I figured our best set ups and technique to get me there!
Really beautiful
Thanks so much 😘Roseanne!
Love your ornaments Louise!!
Thanks Angelia, 😘it took a few tries on the round ones and I’m gonna show the hood, the bad and the ugly on those😂
Some great tips here, Louise. I'm running 50-50. It's great they don't have to be perfect. But sadly, my messes aren't always pretty! 🤣 Or even cute. Beautiful ornaments!
Thanks David, 💙🩵I love how you put things, even if you might be a mess!! Your comments always put a smile on face!!😅
Louise, those ornaments look so pretty, and so are you, my friend. I'm back home in Tomah, WI working on plastic canvas tissue boxes to sell for $10 a pop.
Thank you Byron ❤️🩵 this is part 1 of the series! Wow, plastic canvas tissue boxes, trying to imagine. I worked at Graohic Packaging International where we made folding carton tissue boxes for Kimberly Clark and independent tissue makers. Cool!
Love these Louise - they are a blast do do - love your colors :) Love that you send them out to your friends - I am on that list this year hint hint :)
Thanks Lori, well msg me your address!!
You can fix the ornament in place with a removable glue museum round dot. They are like mini glue dots but easier to remove when dry.
Thank you for the tip Maggie, and I appreciate you being here💙
Hello Louise!
Lovely ornaments!
I'm currently problem solving the glass bauble that's not fully round, half flat if you will?! Lol
I plan to watch your future videos when you cover them
Thank you
Thanks, yes that’s on the agenda!! I called those my pancake, round ones
So, so pretty. How do you finish the backs of the flat ones? Really appreciate the tips. I’m gonna give them a try.
Thanks, Lisa😘 it’s in the video near the end! Check it out💕
Love watching you create beautiful ornaments. I have onion shapes. Don't know what to do with them. On the scoop & drag can you just pour off the first spatchula? Why do you scoop on the second one. Confused
Thank you. That’s actually a great question and something I haven’t covered. But the fact is when you’re blowing out a bloom what happens is the bloom it tends to pancake down because of the blowing and seeing how I can’t spin it like I would a coaster or a painting I have to loosen it up. That’s what the other spatula digging underneath the first blowout does, it loosens it up and get it ready to pour.
How do you finish the back and how do you keep the paint off the back?
I believe I show in this tutorial that I just let the paint run down the back and let it cover the back and after all of that, I varnish it. Let me know if you have any other questions sheli🧡
What a great idea!
Do you add the extra $0.40 postage for rigid contents? (Even if you do, a buck and six cents is NOTHING compared to what we spend on postage anyway)
Thanks. 💕Rebekah I think I show in the video it’s just standard 1st class stamp. Now I’m gonna need to check
What do you use for your cell activator?
Hi Cindy, I use both Australian and American CA. I have a video that shows and tell exactly what I use and how I make my American floetrol activator in an eight minute video here if you want to take a look.th-cam.com/video/2x6yfKlcqVM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ptdmICknMY5aWWPv
How long do you wait until you varnish? I have a craft show next weekend and hope they get dry quick!
2days
@@LouiseMcKayArt Awesome! I'll have time then. I did 15 today! Plan on doing a few more tomorrow! Thank you so much!
@@djshotzy I just has to be dry to the touch, the paint will be pretty stretched out just by gravity. congrats on all you created I hope I helped along the way!
Wondering how to charge for these. I don't have a clue
Honestly, nor do I!
