My family is planning on breeding sphynxs soon but we would NEVER ditch the mother once she's not able to breed anymore, can't imagine why someone would be that cruel

There’s really nothing wrong with breeding if you do it right! Responsible breeders have there animals as pets, keep them in very pretty large homes and let them mate when there in heat. That’s all to a breeder that does it right. And they I’ve there animals

me losing my cats when they ran away fed into my already declining depression so im looking at cat vids to remind myself of the good times I had with them

I totally understand what Hannah means because my cats keep me going when my depression is weighing heavy on me. I get up because they need me to take care of them and then, I realize I have to take care of myself. It’s a really sweet, but beneficial relationship.

ESAs are not "service animals" and do not have public access rights. I have an ESA and im not hating, just clearing up false info. Service animals are animals trained to aid in a task.

I used to work in a animal hospital in the kennel dept before I moved to Connecticut recently . A vet tech that worked there for a while had one of these cat breeds . She said they are like warm hot water bottles and I met one there so loving and affectionate with people as well
Pooh that sounds perfect for cold achy day when my fibromyalgia flares up. I bet I could convince them to stay under the covers for hours. Although considering just how warm i keep my apartment they might not want under the covers.
But alas I already have two love bugs & the one is constantly laying up against on top of the plushy blankets.
It would have to be one extraordinary cat for me to want to care for more than two. But maybe someday.

Only dogs and mini horses can be service animals. Any pet can be an emotional support. Please don’t spread misinformation as this causes issues with people who actually have a service animal! I have a sphynx kitty, she's the most loving cat I've ever met. She slept on me the very first night I got her. She learnt how to sit and to give her paw. She always want to be with me. She really is like a dog in so many ways, it's amazing.

Awahhh, they are beautiful!! Loving too. I am a cat lover but my last one was 10 yrs ago and I cannot get one now. So, the beautiful neighbor cat comes over when I need a cat the most. She has been around for years. Enjoy your babies n thanks for sharing them! Give a cuddle for me!

So Hannah is a really positive energy person. Grateful for people like Hannah
It's more triggered by her ADHD. It's an unintentional facade. She's had a religious background with Mormanism (a cult, basically) that messed her up with depression/panic attack/OCD spells (most of this year which she hasn't posted much). It's why she has a service animal. Read her Buffering book for more about it. She doesn't hide this information.
I now remember that. I was drawn to her ability to be genuine on her Drunk cooking show. I hear you, however, I feel positive energy coming from her and get comfort seeing her ability to face and even name her painful experiences. Which is almost impossible. Facade is when we don't or can't face ourselves I think.

Thank you for pointing this out! As an SD handler it gets tiring having people bring their pets with them places when they aren't trained. I've had a couple instances where my SD was almost attacked or nipped. SDs are a lot of money and you are restricted in life. Its not fun.

Let me clear things up for people Charles is not her service animal he’s her emotional support animal there’s a huge difference. Emotional support animals and service animals do not have the same rights. Yes an emotional support animal can fly free with you and stay at a hotel free with you but and it’s a huge but they cannot go with you to stores or restaurants for public events. A service animal is trained could you certain tasks for somebody an emotional support animal does not have to have any training. My husband and I both have an emotional support animal. One more thing the only other way an emotional support animal and a service animal is the same is that they could live with you whether you live in an apartment or a house that doesn’t except pets or that does except pets fee free. Other than that an emotional support animal is not a service animal they are not allowed access to restaurants they are not allowed access to grocery stores and malls and public events like concerts and movie theaters and places like that we are strictly for emotional support.

When mom started to go downhill from depression, which later developed into dementia and we moved her in with my sister for the last years of her life, she derived great comfort form her pets. Getting up in the morning, as you said Hannah...and feeding the pets gave her structure and a reason to be active, and not just shlump around. Cheers from New Orleans.
