Like watching your technique. Good catches 👏. I bought chatter weights the other day. Haven't been able to set them up yet. The weather has been bad. I work 7 on and 7 off. I maybe have one day of good weather when I'm off. But it will get better soon. Tight Lines. Btw..I'm in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area.
Thanks, that chatter can make a lot of difference at times. I've been fishing with Capt. Cody in the past and he was hooking up and I wasn't. I put a chatter weight on like he has on and started catching too. I know a lot of people will ask if the sound or scent are necessary and I always say if it doesn't hurt, I'll try it LOL. Good and tight lines!

It really was, I couldn't have asked for better weather after trying to fish in very bad weather conditions recently.
What brand of kayak and length do you have? I'm in the beginning stages of research and selection of one. I'm leaning towards a Hobbie brand because of the push peddle drive system. Thank you in advance.
It's a 2018 Hobie Outback. I like their drive better than what's out there on the market.

It's Vudu I make it around 2 ft but it all depends on water depth & the fish. If they're biting closure to the surface I'll make it shorter but I usually start around 2ft and go from there. 🤙🏼

Do you ever use fishing line for leader line and why?
I've tried using regular fishing line as leader line a couple different times, but it always breaks under the stress of large fish. I like fluorocarbon leader line, so I tried fluorocarbon fishing line and it still broke. Plus, leader line holds up so much better around structure and you get less damage when it rubs up against it.
