I bought two Mi 8 and sold one, two years ago I bought a Mi 9T Pro because it didn't have a border, but the quality of the camera and the screen, etc. was strangely noticeable. Its selfie camera was not really up to the Mi 8.. The sound quality was poorer.. Mi 8 still works and my next phone will be a better phone than Mi 8, not ridiculous mid-range ones And an important point, Mi 8 still receives Pixel ROM officially, maybe it will also receive Android 14.
@@yugoarchivefor who someone wants full screen experience it's one of the best choice but I don't care too much about full screen personally, I have now hidden the notch on the Mi8 and I don't need a bit more screen, instead I have a better quality selfie, I have face recognition that works well even in the dark of night.And hiding the notch has given my phone a beautiful look.. because the Mi 8 notch is not a punch or a drop, and it is the same height as the bottom edge.It would have been better if the lower border was less and instead of a notch there was a little border, but because of this, I can't pass up a better camera and overall better build quality and prefer the phone without a notch to the Mi8.
My phone nowadays is still the mi8 and I have no reason to buy another phone I bought it at the end of 2017 the phone is still working perfectly it makes absurdly beautiful photos for its super-superior cameras without taking that it records 4k 60 fps things that many phones have who suffer to deliver this I have nothing to complain about my mi8 the ifone is good but mine has 256 storage and an ifone to do practically the same thing here in brazil is about 4x more expensive so i keep my mi 8 until be able to buy the mi12 or the 13
had a mi 8, upgraded to a mi 11 lite a couple years later and i regret it, cameras, screen sharpness and overall quality is lower and i've had a few issues with it compared to the mi 8 which was perfect through its life.. need to stick to flagships imo, even if theyre a bit older

I also changed my main device (poco f3) for a mi 9t pro and I'm loving it! Display feels better and no notch or punch hole anywhere :)
