I really love the detailed explanation of how to play games and I’ve been seeing this game a lot. I’m excited to try it now that I’ve watched the video whereas I was too intimidated before. Thanks!!

We just played Space Base for the first time last night. I got to 40 victory points first, but my 11 yo won because he had enough credits to buy a colony that made his score surpass mine. Dang it!! We haven't quite figured out the charging cards yet, so we were doing exactly what you mention, not picking them. Haha. After reading a few forums we think we get it now so we'll try it again today.

Yay! Space Base is so good. The charge cards are definitely a little tricky to figure out, but once you do it’s not that complicated. We need to get together soon! Marching Band is almost over, then we’ll free up a bunch.

Another great video. I loved Space Eric's landing! Space Base is moving toward the top of my Want list! Maybe your Python script will pick me this month :)
We didn't get much gaming in this weekend as we were busy decorating for Christmas, but I did get to try Arboretum. It's fun, yet thinky for a small game.

Thanks - yeah, Arik's entrance was pretty epic. It was a quote from Bladerunner if you didn't catch the reference. As for Arboretum, I haven't played it - looks interesting. Is there a game that is similar that you would compare it to?

@@Snowboardgamer I thought that sounded familiar. Should have just googled it.
I haven't played another game like Arboretum. It involves drafting and card placement.
