#Jogfalls is one of the most beautiful #waterfalls in the world. And it is the second highest waterfalls in india.
The river called sharavati creates this beautiful jog waterfall.
This falls is located between uttarakannada and shivamogga districts of karnataka state. So jog waterfall has two best views one from uttarakannada side and another from shimoga district. This waterfalls has lot of stairs. One can go upto the bottom of this waterfalls.
Daily lot of visitors visit this place. Threre is a good facility for vehicle parking. But this place lacks of good hotels around it.
This river has a big dam in linganamakki village nearly 15 km from jogfalls. The main reason for building this dam is to produce electricity.
3 main hydroelectric power stations are situated in jogfalls (A B Site). The old one is mahatma gandhi hydro electric power project. And sharavati hydro electric power station is the big one. One has to take permissions to visit these places by giving appropriate reason. One can travel to these places only by four wheelers.
