I didn't want the video to end. The nostalgia was intoxicating. Those years of CSGO were monumental. It was amazing to hear Anders reflect on his CSGO experiences, with such honesty and humility, that only years past and self reflection could provide. Very interesting insights. E-League and MLG Columbus were a couple of my favorite moments of CSGO. Lots of competitive drama amongst both talent and players/teams. Everyone who followed CSGO knows the names of the on-air talent during that time period. It was a lot of fun to experience the drama of competitive team FPS enhanced by such a constellation of misfits who loved the game so much and wanted it to succeed and grow. My all-star CSGO talent line-up: Richard, Thorin, Moses, Pansy, Anders, Semmler, HenryG, Sadokist, YNK, Machine, Smix, OMGScoots, Vince. Good times. However, nostalgia can be a double-edged sword. Right after you bask in the memories, that has a way of transporting you back as if they've only occurred yesterday, it hits you hard that they are... memories. Perhaps CS2 will bring, some of, the band back together in some capacity. One can only hope. I sure do. Hmmm, I wonder if there will be more CSGO talent reflections on the end of an era and the start of CS2 :D
Guys. You have no idea what you just did here. First, I was in awe when Anders talked about 'falling from the top'. Relatable. Then, you started talking about mental health. I didn't realize it at first, but this turned to a psychoterapeutic session I did not know I needed. And I'm still in first half of the interview. 🙏 thank you.
Thanks for the honesty from you & anders on this one. Going through really tough times and hearing what you both said really made a difference @Richard Lewis
I can recall I think on flashpoint 3 or a clip of an older one of anders calling into the desk, and it cuts to semmler with the biggest grin listening to him talk. That’s my reaction to anders. Seems like such a great dude with a geniune passion and positive outlook on life. Hope we get him as long as he wants to be in esports and CS
Thank you both for this interview. I sent the part where Anders opened up about his issues to a few friends who are going through something similar,to convince them to go to a therapist /seek help
I remember running around on a private wow server, not having followed cs for a few years, and someone in general chat said hey new nip is gona play old nip. Peaked my curiosity, found the stream and saw a young anders and semmler, From there it was no looking back the hook was in. How i miss the tricast days with vendetta and hours of delays doing online games
An hour in and to hear stories about asking for help when you need it & going through shit from one of the prominent voices of my teens (& still now!) is amazing. Thanks for keeping jt real
Fond memories of the old RoomOnFire days with their makeshift commercials for the sponsors lol. Also remember Anders calling into Trashtalk to discuss mental health. Top guy.
Anders is such a great talents, glad you got him on for a chat. I think his enthusiasm is far from fake, in fact it is infectious and people must hate that force he has enough to denounce it because they don't have it. I must say though, we have to accept that there was damage to Henry's profile by even getting involved in NFTs, the whole technology was a known scam and even Richard showed that when he interviewed him. Anyone who understands software knows the the technological statements regarding Crypto and NFTs are at best intellectually dishonest and misrepresented. I don't hold it against Henery too much though, at least not more than if someone was getting into Wall street brokerage at least.
Rich your Counter Stocks idea is a BANGER! Esports really lacks these fun things that regular sports have, would be great to see! Everybody does that in their head, so why not provide?? Well you should!!!
ah everyones favorite male feminist anders blume! i am so glad this gets mentioned, the old NiP players really were absolute professionals & had such a just professional vibe around them compared to players today.
The details of this is pretty fuzzy, I can't remember if it was a website, a talent announcement or like a fanmade talent rundown of something relating to a DotA 2 tournament, in any case everyone had these loving and funny titles where as Semmlers title was "Sack of shit", I didn't know much about dota or the talent at that point so it just struck me as odd.
Loved this podcast but the last 30 minutes is kinda insane to me. How the fuck is it okay for you guys to be players in a PVP market when you have so much insider information? People closely associated with sports are prohibited from making bets for good reasons, but STOCKS? The potential for blow back there seems so glaringly obvious, I appreciate the due process and no bad intentions. But there's so clearly asymetrical information when it comes to esports? You guys are smart enough to realize you're not playing with the same odds as the general esports crowd to know that's unfair? Are you guys being blinded by "Well, we have very clear offers to outright scam our audiences so morally grey seems fine in comparison" ? Not doing any research btw just commenting based on what was said, but seems like you guys are walking into a minefield that traditional sports has had a complete nightmare with so seems like you should be abstaining from actually buying stocks. Nancy Pelosi vibes
The stock part - I assume you're referring to ENDX? You can only have a lifetime deposit limit of $1,500 per person. I definitely grilled the guys on ENDX a lot on this to really push on this. They were advertising it as an entertainment game rather than a money-making tool.
@@OnlyJoshinTV yeah you know what they did make a point to mention the 1500 dollar limit and I heard that and didn’t really connect it to the problem with asymmetric information there’s no incentive for them to risk their reputation for such little money Definitely still some weird fringe case stuff of players friends and families all investing in them / their teammates before big announcements etc that don’t get covered by that tho? If it was just an elo thing that paid out prizes to the winners (like the official fantasy premier league) it would avoid all those issues
"Probably drunk or coked out of my mind" gotta respect the transparency from Bigman R Lewis

Anders when he was laughing about Moses looking like professor X in the movie theater. "HEE HEE"

Anders and Semmlar, was my introduction to esports. I miss those days.
I think this might be the year of the clan
im down the clan as he said
I missed this casting moment. Does anyone know when he said this? Haha.
what a gift to the CS community, to be able to hear first hand about anders and his experience in early esports is such a treat
Used to watch Anders back in the NIPtv days and its crazy to think how far he's come.
I can recall I think on flashpoint 3 or a clip of an older one of anders calling into the desk, and it cuts to semmler with the biggest grin listening to him talk. That’s my reaction to anders. My favourite male feminist
Anders B Lume.
Very old reference
Why did Rich interview himself as Anders?
This conversation is a great insight into you both. Thank you for this, came at the perfect time for me to hear
Anders is such a real one. Massive respect to him and really hope he's doing well.

Woah, there's two of him... just as I thought the world couldn't get any better ❤ 😂
Great to see James Banks on the pod
Anders has had almost or as much of the same impact on the scene as that NIP squad. What a legend.
What a throw back, havnt heard you two legends speak together in so long! Keep it coming RL Context this month has been banging👌
Two real legends talk about CS and life. It was a great pleasure to listen.
The segment aboutvthe human struggels really hit home with me. I really appretiate you two being so open about it.
Just got home from work and was looking for something to listen to while cooking! Cheers Richard much love
Every respect mate, you are the voice of CS for more than just commentating. All the best.
what an amazing conversation. wish you guys only the best!
HOLY MOLY ANDERS B. LUME
Anders is a true esports pioneer and is still a broadcast visionary. Sublime stuff
@29:30 - Bloodline Champions - Such an awesome game at the time. :')
What a fantastic episode. Thank you Richard and Anders for this
I love the meme where you film two parts and interview yourself.
Fond memories of the old RoomOnFire days with their makeshift commercials for the sponsors lol. Also remember Anders calling into Trashtalk to discuss mental health. Top guy.
I was not expecting a Richard interview with a Vince look alike
absolute legend Anders, this was great
Impressive we made it into the simulation where anders talks with anders
Hey everybody it's Esports Jesus here with danish simulation enthusiast Anders "Mr. Anderson" Blume.
flusha's accountant was such a banger joke
Watched it expecting Anders to say "beans" at some point but it never came.
This podcast idea for index seems amazing please do this
anyone have a link to anders' desktop background?
I love Anders man , even though he thinks the word is a simulation he always keeps it real.
Anders is such a great talents, glad you got him on for a chat. I think his enthusiasm is far from fake, in fact it is infectious and people must hate that force he has enough to denounce it because they don't have it.

That talking horse question was so far out of left field
Are You down with the clan? - Anders B Lume
Great episode!
I really hope Anders and Henry get the grand final for the major
Thank you!!!
room on fire was the best shit ever crammed in that weird attic
Excellent service
Rich your Counter Stocks idea is a BANGER! Esports really lacks these fun things that regular sports have, would be great to see! Everybody does that in their head, so why not provide?? Well you should!!!

Great stuff as always.
Thank you Anders for having Anders on.

this green screen technology is out of control. how are there 2 Anders
I see Rich took a page out of thorins book by interviewing himself! This is why we stay out of esports kids
Please make Counter-Stocks and also bring back By the Numbers.

W
I want to like iconic male feminist Anders, but the thing is, he's danish. So... yeah, impossible 😔
I just think Anders is neat
LFG

Unban on twitch plox
Two senile old esports men getting together with sick production while talking about one of the best esports ever. Love the content Rich!
