Why they discontinued Valentino V will always puzzle me... it was a Scent of the Year winner... I never had so many compliments!!!
A fresh bottle of Valentino V at the time smelled of hot cotton candy...
The final bottles I bought mellowed out on the sweetness though...
It just didn't sell enough

I used to wear Valentino V when I was in high school. That stuff smells so damn good!! I still have an old bottle at home lol

Why is it that no matter how many times I hear it, Mr. Smelly’s sprayer sound effect makes me 😆
I have both, I believe my Valentino V is EDP and it is a light bluey-purple liquid, not almost clear like the aftershave. Daarej has quite a harsh synthetic smelling opening compared to V's smoother qualities, but after about half an hour or so they are indistinguishable. Darrej is around 95% similar to V, a tad more synthetic, but such a good buy for the price.
I did a blind smell test on 10 people, with "V" and "Daarej." They had no clue why I was doing it. I told them to just tell me what they thought, and most of them loved it, and asked why I gave them two identical samples to smell. lol.
I own both and find Dareej to be an exact copy of V. Dareej has allowed me to use my V sparingly.
Interesting that nobody talks about the DUA Version of this. D pour Homme by Dua is a much more accurate clone of V. Don't has this rosy type feel of Daarej, it's more manly, very good performance and more spicy. Were Daarej is 80% the Dua is 99%. Curious why smelly didn't care, normally he is into Duas

I purchased a bottled of Daarej recently,
It is very different and I’m not 100% sure it’s for me.
I have “blended” or layered it with Lagerfeld’s “Bois de Vetiver” and it is 🔥.
I think I like Daarej better as a layered frag.
Going OT but wanted to know if you have sampled Van Cleef & Arpels Neroli Amara? Being a fan of citrus scents I have to say I love this one! And it's perfectly unisex, so would love to hear SmurfyGurly's take on that one too.
Also Mancera's Black to Black? A truly BEASTLY frag. If you have sampled, surely it will have to be at least worthy of a spot in your intro for the next BEAST MODE frag's video :D

Great video ! Highlighting cheapies or great clones , I think, is a great thing. I dont think this fragrance smell works for me, but kudos to those who love it.

Just received Daarjeg... compared to Valentino V, when applied on me, this has sharper woody notes... compared to Valentino V which has a sweeter floral notes...

@Steve Bingham....If you liked Valentino V... you will enjoy this one. Just remember the opening is quite Different... but give it 15 mins and then you'll have Valentino V fragrance on skin.
You won't regret it. As the other commenter said, give it 15 mins, and you have a clone of "V."

got valentino v as a present in 2007-8 from a then patient of mine. he bought me a gift set with the shower gel etc.

Only had a sample of V and then bought a bottle of Dareej which I was either anosmic too or it wasn't a good bottle. I sent it back, but wondering should I try again.
