I got on early and went back and picked up the Warner Brothers records in the 70’s when I was a freshman in HS. Became the standard for me as far as Production, Arrangement, Musicianship!
I was waiting for that smile, and you didn't disappoint! This is probably my favorite EW&F song among a multitude of favorites by them. They just put out great music. Still as fresh as the day I first heard it, and a treasure for those of us who really appreciate great music.

One of the GOAT bands period. They were a group but they were a BAND! Awesome! I grew up with them and the Gratitude LP you just heard this track on is fantastic. You should listen to it in it's entirety. Peace
They do have a sophisticated sound to them, but honestly, I always was into EW&F even when I was just a little boy back in the 70s (Yes, I'm THAT old, LOL). I didn't always understand all of the mature content as a young child, but great music is great music, and even young people can get into their groove. That's just how good they are. :)

I have never heard Kenny Thomas's version of "Can't Hide Love" but will search for it. However, I instantly fell in love with Earth, Wind & Fire's original song when it was released in 1975. It's still my second favorite EWF song! ("Love's Holiday" is my first.)
Hi Sincerely, K.S.O., I've said this before & I'll say it again, Earth, Wind & Fire (EWF) is considered to be the most influential musical group in modern music history & is arguably the greatest band of all time (G.O.A.T.)...When it comes to reactions, the numbers don't always tell the complete story; the truth of the matter is these guys are "untouchable" in my humble opinion...If I'm not mistaken, they started sometime back around 1969 & they are still touring today 2021, google them & check out their schedule as they may be coming near your town soon!!! Go check them out in person, Philip Bailey is about 70 years old now (or soon to be) and he still amazes the crowds in sold out arenas with his unbelievable voice range; and they still bring it, night in & night out!!! They have one of the most extensive musical catalogs on the planet...period!!! Therefore, you don't have to make excuses for them nor do you have to give any explanations, because they are in a league all by themselves!!! Mic Drop!!!

You can never ever go wrong with some good old EWF!! Just stick to 1970-80 after that they kinda lost the magic of doing great albums in the studio although they are still a really great live act.
