Love watching your videos. I started using the sinking envelopes savings for my trips. I also was at Disneyland & Disney Ca Adventure for the Oogie Boogie Halloween party this past weekend. It was hot and fun. Also, love your purse. Thanks for sharing.

I use one of the pouches that came with a HP Planner Companion for my coins in my purse. It works really well, very sturdy, & I have several so I can change it out on occasion.

I used to have a big wallet, but since retirement I have no need for much stuff.
So I work with 2 small pouches,one for cards (and occasional bills) and one for coins.
Love that you were able to adjust to fit your needs. That's why I love this system!

I’m confused on how the rollover money plays into your budget. How do you include what you spent from the envelopes if your budget when you have rollover?
The only time I have rollover money is from my wallet. Each week I fill my wallet with money I plan on spending for that week only. These are the spending, groceries, coffee, eating out and buffer envelopes that I have in my wallet. At the end of the week if I dont spend all the money from any of these categories I will put it aside when I do my cash stuffing for the next week and then put this into savings challenges. I already planned on spending this money during the week so when I don’t I like to put it into a challenge. Some people like to roll it over into the same category it came from and maybe spend it for the next week but I like to use it for savings challenges.

What is spending? Is that just an extra category?
Yes! I treat it as a whatever I want to spend it on type of envelope. I can spend it on anything even if I have an envelope for an item I plan on buying with it. Or sometimes I use it if I don't have enough money in an envelope I want to spend from. So for instance if I want to buy something with my clothing envelope for $30 but I only have $20 I can use $10 from my spending to make that purchase. But, Recently I have been trying my best to not spend too much from it because I really like adding it to the savings challenges!
