Saw her in Glasgow a few months after my father died about 14 years ago. I went along with my mum and sister. She sang Memory from Cats which reduced the 3 of us to tears as dad used to play that on his mandolin. We waited to meet her and have CDs signed and when mum started to cry again, Lesley stood up and held mum's hands. She too had tears in her eyes. A lovely lady and wonderful singer. x
I Saw Leslie live at Sherborne Abbey, fortunately or unfortunately, I live in Normandy now, however, I would go and see Leslie if she was in France. She is superb, and her album Diva is one of my most loved recordings.
oh that is so much high it still sounds beautiful though xxx i just finished playing Fantine in my schools production of les mis so this song means a lot to me
l like the song amacing grace , her voice is so wonderful makes me feel relaxed and enjoy.l hope she gets well soon and returns to the stage of Opera again
@silverstartrucker She is hardly comparable to Russell Watson - she is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and was principal soprano of the English National Opera for ten years.
How can some of you dislike this? She is marvelous, beautiful, perfect.

She is absolutely unique - there has been no-one like her since Jeanette MacDonald in the 1930s.
I expect so - I don't know anyone else in musical theatre who could get that high!
She is not just a singer but a singer-actress.
It's high time this unique performer was made a Dame. There has been no-one like her since Jeanette MacDonald in the 1930s

wow

Bravissima!
If you put an operatic soprano into musical theatre it is bound to be a winner.
I would definitely classify Les Miserables as an opera.
