When people see really goo heterosexual friends hanging out all the time, they often say "are you two a couple" or "you two are such a cute couple." Heterosexual people do not respond to that by saying "what difference does your sexual orientation make"? People who speculate about their sexual orientation are often impressed by their intimacy and bond. They could ask "are you guys married," and many do. Some use a shorthand "are you gay"? It can come from a good place, not a bad one. Also, this is not a national identity question. People in Canada have wondered if I am gay too.

Here's my take: No, it doesn't matter if they are gay are straight. It shouldn't matter if they are gay are straight. BUT ... if there is a young boy out there who IS questioning his sexuality, and needs a role model to turn to (regardless of the reason - he's Scottish, he wants to be a bodybuilder, he likes kilts), take the initiative and tell him the truth. You might save his life. It took me FOREVER to come out. What motivated me to do so was because I was a swimmer, and Greg Louganis came out. He was my hero. And I finally knew I was "okay". We're past the point in 2021 where people need to hide. Answer the question. If it loses you a few numbers, "fook 'em". It probably won't.

I love THIS video. Your reply is understandable but they are updating you one step further... that it is a non issue. They give people permission to be what they are and act how ever they are without any label. It’s not hiding - it is equalizing in fact when that question is removed from the conversation. Is he or isn’t he? What is better to observe is that it is a man. To better illustrate the point I was recently in Croatia and there no one differentiate between gay or straight it doesn’t matter whether you’re manly or feminine if you have a penis you’re a man and if you have a penis and you want to love another man it doesn’t mean you’re gay even if you’re Homo erotic it just means you’re a human being they don’t put it on the spectrum the way American culture has conditioner people to think. When you are gay and you see someone so confident in their life, you feel like you too can be yourself. Yes, no one HAS to answer it but but when someone comes out, it creates another person to look up to.

That is the best presentation any one can make. I am a professor with students from around the world. I always support students to speak in their tongue and not be concerned about criticism. I discovered you as I have been recuperating from back surgery. To be perfectly honest, I hope to start using your tips on nutrition and exercise as I get healthier and can do so. I feel like a mess and the depression from being down after surgery has been intense. Your videos really make me happy and smile. I love mindset Mondays. They make me laugh and think. I love watching your friendship, from jellybrained to sad missing coach Steven to sing-a-longs. I will admit that at first it was lovely to see gorgeous happy very fit men while I laid about. However, the way you are, even "cheeky" at times, is so authentic that you can almost seem like a friend or pen pal. As a gay man, I thank you for the support and also for not really giving a shit - I like that best. And as far as wondering if you are gay, I think it boils down to this. Men aren't often taught that you can have a deep, meaningful friendship with another man. Therefore, we want to understand the dynamic. On one hand, gay would "seem" to explain it. On the other, most of us would be/are jealous of a friendship like yours as we don't always feel free to have platonic relationships with other men. Regardless, for me who doesn't have a straight male friend, I fall into the jealous part. I would love that relationship and it is a wonderful thing to see in you two. Anyway, keep it up! Agreed, I think with men there is a serious lack of closeness or emotional intimacy in friendships with other men in general at least here in the US because we aren't taught that it is ok that we are emotional beings who need support from our fellow men. Being emotional has long been considered a weakness. But it has gradually been changing over the years. And as gay men we often confuse 'emotional intimacy' with 'sexuality' because our sexuality often substitutes for emotional intimacy & we then can no longer distinguish between the two. There is too much focus on sexuality in our community but then again that is the case generally in our society.

I'm a brand new subscriber and when you guys came on my suggested YT view what caught my attention was the "Kilts and Coaches" name. I thought it was so different and unique and I clicked on Christmas video and immediately thought, "these guys are Awesome & Entertaining!" I think it's refreshing when two very masculine and handsome men can be so comfortable/confident in their own skin and not apologize for it! You guys have great camaraderie and banter between you and sexual orientation is completely irrelevant. Unfortunately, we live in a world where "titles" seem to define people and it shouldn't! My sis and I were having a late night out and decided to get a bite to eat before going home, it was about 2am and as we walked arm in arm through a diner parking lot two weirdos (men of course) shouted some nasty comments about us being gay and were pretty angry sounding. Fabulous. I'm English and wear a kilt. I'm certainly not pretending to be Scottish. I attend a church where I am the only non African. I caused quite a stir when I first went in one of my kilts. Now they are used to me. I am gay and they have got used to that too. Mind you they probably think "eccentric old white man"

Well done guys. Love how you handled this. I am Canadian and often get the comment from Americans “ah, you are in a same sex marriage” I always respond in Canada we just call it marriage. Marriage is marriage, fitness is fitness. What difference does your sexual orientation make?
When people see really goo heterosexual friends hanging out all the time, they often say "are you two a couple" or "you two are such a cute couple." Heterosexual people do not respond to that by saying "what difference does your sexual orientation make"? People who speculate about their sexual orientation are often impressed by their intimacy and bond. They could ask "are you guys married," and many do. Some use a shorthand "are you gay"? It can come from a good place, not a bad one. Also, this is not a national identity question. People in Canada have wondered if I am gay too.
i fucking LOVE that you didn't answer the question, because while dancing around the answer to the question, you touched on a LOT of subjects that needed to be spoken to.
The gay community has been PRAYING for people to embrace the kind of openness and non-judgemental stance you two adopt with ease, grace, authenticity and humor. And here you are expressing it with all the Pride you two behemoths could muster, and to that I say, Good On You!!

Here's my take: No, it doesn't matter if they are gay are straight. It shouldn't matter if they are gay are straight. BUT ... if there is a young boy out there who IS questioning his sexuality, and needs a role model to turn to (regardless of the reason - he's Scottish, he wants to be a bodybuilder, he likes kilts), take the initiative and tell him the truth. You might save his life.
It took me FOREVER to come out. What motivated me to do so was because I was a swimmer, and Greg Louganis came out. He was my hero. And I finally knew I was "okay".
We're past the point in 2021 where people need to hide. Answer the question. If it loses you a few numbers, "fook 'em". It probably won't.
You are right, but you know. It's not their responsibility to do that. These men only want to inspire through exercise, that's all and it is ok.

I love THIS video. Your reply is understandable but they are updating you one step further... that it is a non issue. They give people permission to be what they are and act how ever they are without any label. It’s not hiding - it is equalizing in fact when that question is removed from the conversation. Is he or isn’t he? What is better to observe is that it is a man. To better illustrate the point I was recently in Croatia and there no one differentiate between gay or straight it doesn’t matter whether you’re manly or feminine if you have a penis you’re a man and if you have a penis and you want to love another man it doesn’t mean you’re gay even if you’re Homo erotic it just means you’re a human being they don’t put it on the spectrum the way American culture has conditioner people to think. I don't know if you are straight or gay, I am gay, for me personally, I just like having gay heroes to look up to. People don't realize how it feels to go to the movies and see the hero be ALMOST like you.

I discovered you as I have been recuperating from back surgery. To be perfectly honest, I hope to start using your tips on nutrition and exercise as I get healthier and can do so.
I feel like a mess and the depression from being down after surgery has been intense. Your videos really make me happy and smile. I love mindset Mondays. They make me laugh and think. I love watching your friendship, from jellybrained to sad missing coach Steven to sing-a-longs.
I will admit that at first it was lovely to see gorgeous happy very fit men while I laid about. However, the way you are, even "cheeky" at times, is so authentic that you can almost seem like a friend or pen pal.
As a gay man, I thank you for the support and also for not really giving a shit - I like that best.
And as far as wondering if you are gay, I think it boils down to this. Men aren't often taught that you can have a deep, meaningful friendship with another man. Therefore, we want to understand the dynamic. On one hand, gay would "seem" to explain it. On the other, most of us would be/are jealous of a friendship like yours as we don't always feel free to have platonic relationships with other men.
Regardless, for me who doesn't have a straight male friend, I fall into the jealous part. I would love that relationship and it is a wonderful thing to see in you two.
Anyway, keep it up! Keep inspiring! And like we say, "Do you and do you well!"

Agreed, I think with men there is a serious lack of closeness or emotional intimacy in friendships with other men in general at least here in the US because we aren't taught that it is ok that we are emotional beings who need support from our fellow men. Being emotional has long been considered a weakness. But it has gradually been changing over the years.
And as gay men we often confuse 'emotional intimacy' with 'sexuality' because our sexuality often substitutes for emotional intimacy & we then can no longer distinguish between the two. There is too much focus on sexuality in our community but then again that is the case generally in our society.

I thought it was so different and unique and I clicked on Christmas video and immediately thought, "these guys are Awesome & Entertaining!" My sis and I were having a late night out and decided to get a bite to eat before going home, it was about 2am and as we walked arm in arm through a diner parking lot two weirdos (men of course) shouted some nasty comments about us being gay and were pretty angry sounding. So yeah, they're out there.
