Bubbles has been sung at West Ham, my club, since about 1922 and is arguably one of the longest associations of a song with a sports teams alone in the world.
In the Napoli part, those were flares in the stands. Where it said La Numero, that's La 12, supporter of Boca Juniors, club from Argentina. Forever blowing bubbles is an American song that came out in 1918, was popular. West Ham fans adopted it apparently in the 1920s.
I like you and have Subscibed. "Celtic v Barcelona" when the capacity 60,000 sings You'll Never Walk Alone tajes some beating especially halfway through when the speakers are turned off and it's just the crowd :) "Liverpool F C-The Kop Crowd" from 1964 shows 28,000 Home fans behind just one goal singing and swaying in the days b4 the dreaded compulsory All Seater Stadiums..
Apparently a Catholic priest allowed 4 young boys to play football in that church grounds to try prevent them from been hurt & had to attend mass on a Sunday they formed a football team but wanted to say thanks to the priest but didn't know how then found out his 1st name was Lorenzo thus San Lorenzo was born
Lol, this reminded me of Maz Jobrani's clip about world cup chants. He's an Iranian-American stand up comedian. Here's the clip if you like to watch it. th-cam.com/video/SG5JWiIhpUw/w-d-xo.html
You shouldn't really refer to north america as a place with no love for sports seeing as Mexico is on the north american continent and they have passion for sports
