Josh congratulations it was an incredible video especially having your guests Ray Novak in the gentleman speaking in broken English from Germany awesome Josh😊❤👍🙏👍
Thanks for streaming this! I was figuring that this would be in the same price range as the 7810 (around $13 K); if it is more in the range of 6K, that’s still not exactly cheap, but more competitive with other high-end radios. 😊
Well, I'm somewhat disappointed, not what I was anticipating. I'm sure it will fit the bill for the élite, but looks too much like the 7610? Was expecting more bells and whistles. Looks like 7610 will be my choice.
Good to see new products being introduced. However quessing what the MSRP might be, Icom is pricing itself our of my price range. I’d rather have a Yaesu FTDX10, sorry.
I get ads on YT all the time advertising a live translator app in the play store. Hold your phone camera up, and the screen changes to show you any text/signs in your native lamguage. In near real time. So they say.
Hello dear OM s and Icom This is the big announcement ?? The front is predominantly from the Icom 7610, ok 200 watts and a few specifications are built in, that was?? Where are the innovations of the inventors? I was happy after the announcement of what was coming next. I'm disappointed, sorry. oh yes, is the display of the same quality as the 7610? with partial failure of some symbols? Greetings from Germany
Of course I can't build a radio like that, who can, very few people. Why doesn't Icom commission a survey and ask radio amateurs worldwide? In the age of digitalization, that's not a problem, is it. Where is a portable device 2/70/23 like the Alingo? Where is a mobile device 2/70/23? I am convinced that the excellent engineers would manage this. Greeting.@@HamRadioCrashCourse
Thanks for the quick reply. icom is able to set priorities with the 9700, 7300 and 7610, and wouldn't it be possible to build a portable or mobile device with the bands 2/70/23? I don't believe that. I'm aware that the certainly very good engineers wouldn't be able to conjure this up out of a hat, but it will be possible. Just ask at the Icom stand. greeting
They have all been reduced to "gilding the lily" at this point. I think they have reached the pinnacle of what technology can do with on the table or in the vehicle radios at this point. Notice Kenwood isn't doing it any more except for their, probably last, handi talkie.
Icom always seems to do their equipment with one feature that is always missing... unlike the Xeigu X6100, or X6200, etc... the IC-705 doesn't have a Antenna tuner....I know..... Use a resonet antenna. The IC7760, looks amazing, has great features and specs, but no wifi. If Flex can run their head unit over wifi with no latancy issues, you would thin Icom could as well. And does the Head unit require external power or does it have a battery in it?
@@HamRadioCrashCourse Thanks. I thought that's what my "investigations" came up with before I stayed with Kenwood and went with the TS-990S and TS-890S, but I could be wrong. Maybe it was the Yaesu's.
@@HamRadioCrashCourse I remember now. It's the IC-7610 with the LCD module failures. CEO Mr. Inoue even wrote about the issues with it. After I added the TS-990S to my Kenwood "stable" TS-820, 830, 850, 870, I was trying to decide between buying either the IC-7610 or the TS-890S and the problems with the IC-7610 screens were all over the forums and interwebs, so I went with the TS-890S and also bought a TS-590SG to slave with it for a second receiver. I think some of the others may have had the same issues because the screen modules were supplied by the same vendor (who went bankrupt, I seem to recall). BTW, I enjoy your channel.
I'm waiting for the IC-7100 replacement - full SDR HF/VHF/UHF, color screen, ATU, 100 W. Maybe next year Tokyo Ham Fair there will be an IC-7160
Me too, IC-7110 would be a good number for it
A 7100 replacement still with a separate head unit, 705 screen plus features like BT and built-in server.
Sorry I missed this live. Let me just say that this was so cool for Ray to do. Great ambassador for Icom and ham radio in general.
Josh congratulations it was an incredible video especially having your guests Ray Novak in the gentleman speaking in broken English from Germany awesome Josh😊❤👍🙏👍
Very much appreciate Ray Novak N9JA and the Icom Japan team that gave us the front row seat at the unveiling of the IC-7760.

Yeah 6k is actually a great price point for this product.
Thank you Josh and Ray - love what Icom has done with the 7760 and also can't wait to add 24Ghz to collect those extra points during the MW contest 🙂
Hey Josh love your program you're awesome so is Ray Novak ❤

Gee willikers Josh I love the technology in the new radios coming out very cool😊😊😊😊
I want that Seiko watch!
Icom needs to offer a matching fitted Pelican case for that monster!
Josh the watch is about $345.00

Who is the target customer for the 7760? Most hams, self included, don't need a 200W radio. Just curious.
Those who already have everything and for whom money is no object.
Price is at 41:48, under the radio name: 877,800 Yen (798,000 Yen excluding taxes).
the 7760 is about $5,500.00
About $6,080 at the current US/YEN exchange rate.
VERY NICE
Would've maybe had me if you would've made it ALL BAND ALL MODE, HF,VHF,UHF but they dropped the ball
The price of the 7760 at $6,080 US makes the 7610 look like a bargain.
I just hope that the plastics on the display unit are not poor quality as the 7610..
I have a 7610. Never had any issues. What are you seeing?
Obviously again no backlit buttons
Seiko is nice, but the Grand Seiko brand is used for their finest watches. Accuracy is out of this world.
Wish had a price for the 24ghz.
2730B may just be "B" for second version. Like the B52, now up to B52H, or the B17G, the last series of improved B17s.
B = blacked out display
Would be amazing if they add support for the control head to the 7610 (via LAN)..
It has that!
Does the 7760 support CESSB?
The watch looks like a standard 4R36 automatic movement, so not a GMT

I guess try making the radio you want then? 🤷🏼♀️

Nah, will save a bit more for a Hilberling ;)
is it available without the control head for remote?
That's exactly my thoughts too. For those who want to use it remotely via computer. It would be a huge cost savings.
I was going to watch this, but it's over an hour long? Oh hell no. I'll wait for the summary to come out
Looks like a TS-990 with a remote head😂
7060?
Looking to be just over $6000
This x60?
Was the PW-2 announced? K5TGS
Starting to ship this week.
@@MrN9ja I will look for these at work!
And the MSRP is *only* $6KUSD.
I cannot get one i have 2 pay alomony kg6mn
What's that beauty gonna' cost? A few hundred? (LOL)

It's a shame that he kept talking over the translation.
awesome but you guys need to hire a cameraman!
Not really allowed per show rules.
I’m sure some will spend the cash. Nice rig but way out of my price range

Disappointing 😢
Gilding the lily.
Don't the screens on the Icoms have a extremely high failure rate? Kinda gilding the lily with these new radios.
Not from my experience or what I have heard from anyone really.

Actually, after the initial manufacturer was replaced with a new display manufacturer has been fabulous. There has not been screen failures
Josh I'm sharing you to Facebook❤😊
Awesome thank you!
