This is my Mugler Aura First Impressions Fragrance Review
Mugler Aura First Impressions Review Video, Mugler Aura Fragrance Review. Being one of the biggest fans of the house of Mugler I was really excited about this new, brand new release from the house of Mugler. Aura is a new fragrance by Mugler and not a flanker of an older fragrance. So very exciting to me especially after seeing the gorgeous pics of the bottle and the advertising imagery I was even excited about this release more. The sample was sent to me by a friend in Belgium as the fragrance is currently released in Europe but it has not made it here to the states yet. Soon I believe sometime in the fall. Please watch to find out all I have about the new Mugler Aura.

At the beginning, it smells weird but once it dries, it turns out beautiful, that's why i love it.
I am in love with Aura - just delicious & unique enough that it isn't like anything else in my perfume collection. I've gotten so many compliments and had people ask what it is. The Bourbon Vanilla is one of the best vanilla notes I've smelled in awhile (not all vanillas are created equal!). This is the kind of 'green' fragrance I can wear - not a crisp sharp green, but a humid, luscious green that is made succulent by the tropical feel of the orange blossom and rhubarb leaf. The herbal smell that people complain about is not very strong on me and in my opinion adds something unique and takes it to another level. Total love from me! :)

I smelled it two days ago, and I sprayed all over my clothes and WOW, this perfume is so unique, powerful, beautiful, odd in such a beautiful way, and I don’t think it looks Alien or Angel, it’s so different and when I smelled it the next on my shirt it was still there and just amazing beautiful smell, it’s a matter of taste and for me it’s my new addiction 💚💚💚💚💚

According to the company Firmenich, Tiger Liana is a novel fragrance component, extracted from the root of an unspecified Chinese medicinal plant that is called Liana Fauve or Tiger Liana. The plant is also called Liane Fauve. The smell is considered botanical, animal and smoky.
I am not a big fan of the house but have to admit that I like Aura. Perfumes don't really last on my skin but this one takes a good hour to change to plain vanilla. It smells good mixed with the notes that have rubbed off on my clothes or hair. Perfume designers never actually take this in consideration. It's a particular perfume, a definitely love-it-or-hate-it.
Absolutely an addictive fragrance! Completely different and you can’t stop smelling it.
You need to sample this for months to know it ....If they are trying to appeal to the masses they have failed judging but the fragrantica pages. So no, this does not smell like other perfumes out there and it's hardly a crowd pleaser. I would for that reason argue that it is very Mugger worthy. I love it. It changes as you wear it and is very reactive to temperature and humidity....wear it to know it.
I totally agree with Alien DNA!I had the same impression wearing it for the first time.
This scent goes through 3 or 4 different phases and changes a lot as the hours pass its a journey and you need to spend some time with it ....looking forward to a full review from you...;-)
Mugler is absolutely amazing house, whiles other desinger houses keep sinking launching new fragrances, mugler rocks still. Aura is awsome new fragrance with more green, fresh, note to compare to their previous ones. But still keep the DNA of Alien somehow, still sexy, elegant scent. And the bottle is beautiful. Must have
I love the Mugler house and mainly Alien. And I blind bought this and it smelled amazing on paper, but I consistently get migraines from it, it's sooooo strong and like a sweet garden potpourri that got scorched in the desert sun and burnt. I never knew a Perfume could do that. Your review nailed it. It's like a lot of cooks in the kitchen, not a fan it's so intense. Not for the faint of heart and definitely extreme. It doesn't mix with my body chemistry 😕

I think that's what's awesome about perfumes tho, what smells bad on one person smells like heaven on another. I like when designers make perfumes that aren't for everyone.
I got a sample of Aura by Mugler, on December/18, and i love it. I purchased a 3 Fl oz. and, to be honest, this fragrance stays forever on my skin. ❤❤❤❤❤
Aura Mugler is the only Mugler fragrance that i like! Everything else is over powering, smells like you typical sweet, designer fragrance. There is something definitely more mysterious about this flanker.

The video and comments are very helpfull . Some said it smells like amariege givenchy or loulou by cacharel when it setteled down .but i know that mugler is the master of unique perfumes.

It's so green fougerish. I adore it!
I think I'll like this. Alien is my favorite, I like unique scents and typically have very different taste than most women in fragrances. I have Aura picked out for my monthly perfume subscription, can't wait to smell it! I could just go to Ulta or Sephora and smell it to know for sure but I like a surprise.
So glad it's not yet another "pure" flanker release. I'm kind of done with those. Thanks for giving us a sneak peek (sniff)!
No problem. It's def not a flanker and I'm hoping they will come out with a new men's release as well! No more Pure series! LOL!. Although I still want EDP's of some of the better Pure series fragrances like A*Men, Pure Havane and Pure Malt! :)
When I first smelled it the opening was like spearmint gum but the dry down was something completely different I don’t even know what to say about this one
Woodruff. I just looked it up. It's Waldmeister in German. It's a plant called Galium Odoratum in Latin. It grows in Europe and other regions in forested areas and has a warm sweet scent. It is what I first detected in Aura and it makes me happy. Aura also reminds me of Guerlain's perfumes a lot. I smell Tulip which has a glittery scent. And as so many perfumers do they added Sandalwood into it which in my personal view is a note that should only be paired with Lavender alone. Dr. Hauschka first paired Sandalwood with Lavender in all natural essential oil form for their body lotion and that combination is the ultimate. Mixing Sandalwood into a fruit punch is the latest trend and I'm not on board. But even with the Sandalwood in the fruity scent in Aura I still love the perfume.
It DOES smell of wick vaporub. Its addictive. I cannot imgine it on my skin but i smell the sample like a crazy person:)

I think Aura is so other worldy like you've found yourself on some jungle riddled land.But you either love it or hate it depending how it settles on your skin. I'm hoping they also does a hair mist of this scent. A friend of mine also bought this scent at the same time that I did and it just did not settle well on her. We both were wearing it on the same day and I had three people come up to ask me what I was wearing and she looked over at me and said "Oh I hate you!" Hahahahaaahaa!*
Oh lord, LOL. I bought a big perfume and body lotion of Aura, blind; but, I love, Alien, so its gonna work for me. I JUST KNOW IT😄
I love it so much, first impression on my body is the smelling of woodruff. And then it changes to a wonderfull deep green wet forest. Some ours later there comes vanilla.

I just had the pleasure of sampling this an it smells unreal. Almost edible but without being immature. They did that.
Tiger Liana is a flower traditionally used in Chinese medicine.
My favorite perfume. My boyfriend loves it. He wants me to spray his pillows with it haha
I'm extremely interested in trying this. I'm super bummed that it's not hitting the States soon.
What I've been reading has me intrigued. I typically don't love the pillars from Mugler but fall instead for a flanker. All of my Mugler additions are flankers so I'm super curious to see if I'll love this pillar or if as w others, I'll have to wait for the formula to be tweaked in a flanker. From what I'm reading, o think the elements are there for some really interesting flankers. One easy way to get them is to let each individual nose give us the fragrance from their perspective; how they themselves wished the final juice to be vs the compromise they inevitably released.
I'll probably end if w some version of this bc I don't have much of any "green" fragrances.
I bought it and now I am still making up my mind about it. We'll just have to see.

I am really not the fan of this house..To be honest I don't love any of their fragrances. But I am very intrigued to try Aura out. It will be released in Germany probably in the next 100 years because it takes ages for new fragrances to appear on the German market. Everywhere else the perfume has been on the market for several months and only then we get it...So annoying! Feel free to watch my new video where I talk about my most favourite rose perfumes! I smelled it today and.. ouf! It convinced me to never try anything else from Mugler again. I got that hospital scent too from this one.

It’s got a menthol thing on but not at all like vicks vapour , it is very strong, it’s very Amazonian rainforest I think !

I like it. And it’s not groundbreaking....it’s a normal vanilla parfum with a green start..not so different from fleur de liane by artisan parfumeur
Great review! Have you tried Roads fragrances yet? I sprayed a few spritz at Neiman Marcus, particularly Afropolis from their Africa Collection. They seem to not sample much but I wanted to get your opinion on the main line and the Africa collection. Thanks!

I don't like it either. I agree has too much going on it's like a smudge o f fragrances. I absolutely love the bottle. I buy it for the bottle alone.
At first i thought it was a little strong but the aftersmell is really nice and like jungl-y
It stings my nose like Vicks Vapor Rub but I do like it. I may not be able to wear it as I am sneezing a lot after putting it on.

I just bought a bottle, blind, but no way does this smell like Alien to me. I liked, but didn't love Angel and I LOVE Alien. I even just bought another bottle of Alien. But I'm just not digging Aura. All the reviews saying it's green & forestry isn't true for me & that's what I was hoping. I love eucalyptus, but in no way do I smell it. To me, Aura smells like Play-Doh. At least from what I remember what Play-Doh smells like. Yea, it's a mess. I'll get through it, though, but no more Aura for me.

To me this smells like a sweet vanilla drowning in a dark sourish and green swamp trying to hold on a rhubarb flower. Kind of in the same vein with Mark Jacobs Decadence or Lolita Lempicka by Lolita Lempicka (the original). I'm guessing Mugler's trying to bring a fragrance to compete their faint vibe in the market.
It's a really weak and disappointing release after so long of a break 🙄 To be honest I'm really not looking forward to smell this on women around :\

Has anyone smelled aura sensuelle? Its the flanker of this one and it is.in a white bottle.
After reading some good reviews on this perfume i decided to buy a sample. And.... what a big disappointment. The smell is too strong, very heavy. The opening of this one is nice, but then it gets too spicey and strong. Not my fave :/

I think it smells like my aunt's purse when I sat next to her in church as a kid. Not terrible but not great and incredibly strong. Like a floral firearm, it's great but can be misused

Ya no vale la pena 😭😭😭😭😭 e comprado recientemente hoy!! Y es horrible no huele a Aura 😭😭😭 creo la reformulación lo dañaron completamente, no huele a nada chicas nada 😤😤 yo tenia anteriormente uno y ese si que olía bien como Aura que es fuerte verde dulce etc, el que e comprado dos veces porque antes pues lo devolví y me enviaron otro y nada es igual eso que Mugler lo dañaron totalmente, un perfume baratito malo huele más con eso digo todo, alguien a comprado recientemente?
Estoy muy decepcionada, enfadada y asta engañada, yo tenía anteriormente y ese si que era el Aura edp con su aroma tan original fuerte verde dulce que lo amas o lo odias, pero me a llegado ya dos veces y cambiando un producto nefasto es para llorar, que asco como pueden dañar el perfume así de esa manera es prácticamente inoloro es agua con una pizca de un poco de Aura, a alguien le a pasado igual que a mí?
