Hey, I am 72 years old, never liked metal and Nightwish is now MY favorite band. They are all amazingly talented but Floor is in a class of her own. She is by any standard one of the best female vocalists out there today and absolutely the most versatile. Six years of formal voice training including classical and a bit of opera but her love is metal. That being said I have heard her sing two arias and absolutely kill both of them. And she can shine in any genre.
71 year old here - grew up during Golden Age of Rock listening to Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Stones, Beatles, Yes, The Who, and on and on. Nightwish is the first band in a very long time that I would put up there with the others!
70 year old here and I can't even begin to believe that I never even heard of this band until about a month ago. Since then I have been binge watching every thing I can find about them. I even bought a NightWish t-shirt! They are absolutely amazing, the best I have ever heard.
@@stephenclark5812 I found them about a year ago and I listen to something from there almost every day. Just because I am "old" does not mean I can't appreciate really great music.
Be aware of the Nightwish Army they will be marching in your direction...... seriously folks we are not a bad lot just passionate you will get lots of recommendations of what to listen to next I will leave all the details to Gabriel he will be commenting as soon as you hit his radar. But thank you guys for a lovely reaction in the meantime give sleeping sun a listen if you like the operatic touch.
The Texas Regiment of the Nightwish Army reporting! New Subscriber too! The Nightwish army will be with you through every song! Yes, Floor Jansen is classically trained. There are so many epic songs that will take you on a journey while listening to their music. You can also check out her rendition of the song "Phantom of the Opera" with a male opera singer...with the music redone in Nightwish fashion! I also love "The Greatest Show on Earth"...all 20 minutes of it. You can just look up their videos and choose a song...I have yet to hear one that isn't epic! I can listen to "Ghost Love Score" over and over again....and I get goosebumps, and have what the Nightwish Army calls, "A Floorgasm!". Yes....that out of body experience listening to Floor Jansen's voice! Oh...I am 63 years old...a hard rock/heavy metal enthusiast from when I was 8 years old, listening to Jimmy Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Steppenwolf, Black Sabbath ( With Ozzy ),Nazareth, Grand Funk Railroad, Boston, Foreigner, The Scorpions, AC/DC, Judas Priest, Dokken, of course Metallica. I also enjoy Daughtry, and a few other new heavy metal groups including Disturbed. Nightwish is in their own category all by themselves.
Hello @ Mike and Ginger ! Nightwish fans here, your reaction just appeared on our radar.. Welcome to the world of symphonic metal! And thank you for checking this legendary band, performing in 2013 at Wacken Open Air festival, in front of a 82k+ audience. About the instrumental and vocal added parts - it's good to know they recorded their orchestral and vocal back tracks with prestigious institutions as London Philharmonic Orchestra. London's The Metro Voices choir group and London's Young Musicians Children's Choir as their regular partners. You absorbed literally the entire show: the high level musicianship of the band, the complex composition, the mesmerizing vocals, the energy of the crowd. That was a joyful reaction, you have the potential to become fans of the band in no time. Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory): " Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer. They are from Finland. Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. Marco Hietala is the Bassist and vocals .And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen . Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrumentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen is the drummer. In 2015 due to Jukka's health issues Kai Hahto became the drummer and as of now is a permanent addition. Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen (Operatic vocals). She was with them until 2005. The 2nd one was Anette Olzon from Sweden (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from Netherlands (power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile) - you just heard her. There are live concerts that you should use depending on what era. From Wishes to Eternity and End of an Era (Tarja), Montreux Festival live 2012 and Exit Festival (Anette), Live at Wacken 2013, Live at Wembley, Live at Tampere, Vehicle of Spirit, Decades live (Floor). I hope this helps. I want to welcome you to the Nightwish community. I hope you like them enough to continue the journey. Believe me Nightwish will surprise you with their songs. You will never know what to expect. They are unbelievable live. I want to warn you that Nightwish fans are hard core. So be prepared. lol " Hope you'll continue this journey with us, so I'll drop here a list of songs with the current lineup of the band you may like: "Romanticide" live at Wacken 2013 (metal) th-cam.com/video/zz_7OCCQlXs/w-d-xo.html "Storytime" live at Wacken 2013 (uplifting vocals) th-cam.com/video/pvkYwOJZONU/w-d-xo.html "Ever Dream" live at Wacken 2013 (uplifting vocals) th-cam.com/video/1Xi4n8dJcF8/w-d-xo.html "Song Of Myself" live at Wacken 2013 (dark/metal) th-cam.com/video/lQu5QjidHWg/w-d-xo.html "Dead Boy's Poem" - live Buenos Aires 2018 (soulful ballad) th-cam.com/video/S8E3L7ggLMM/w-d-xo.html "Ghost River" live at Wacken 2013 (metal) th-cam.com/video/05eitd-EA6I/w-d-xo.html "My Walden" live at Wembley 2015 (celtic / folk) th-cam.com/video/knqeI807ZlY/w-d-xo.html "Sleeping Sun" live at Tampere 2015 (ballad) th-cam.com/video/rsotlzr9wNw/w-d-xo.html "Stargazer" live at Tampere 2015 (operatic vocals / metal) th-cam.com/video/NhEuAPYm_Ug/w-d-xo.html "Slaying The Dreamer" live at Buenos Aires 2018 (metal) th-cam.com/video/wA44tjaP5n0/w-d-xo.html "I Want My Tears Back" live at Buenos Aires 2018 (celtic / folk vibe) th-cam.com/video/TBOdgxjb0kM/w-d-xo.html "Devil & The Deep Dark Ocean" live In Buenos Aires 2018 (metal) th-cam.com/video/t26r_vAYQ0Q/w-d-xo.html "Weak Fantasy" live at Tampere 2015 (dark metal) th-cam.com/video/AN239Pbqbjo/w-d-xo.html "7 Days To The Wolves" live at Wembley 2015 (dark metal) th-cam.com/video/XvsfwAPbWXc/w-d-xo.html And if you want to hear Floor growling :) then try "Yours Is An Empty Hope" live at Wembley 2015 th-cam.com/video/vyLsU7Q333k/w-d-xo.html Last but not the least - they just released their 9th studio album on April 10th named "Human :||: Nature" - just take a peek to their official playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLihZ3gi5Yvzc0pfH2cbNKUUX8o3pb8eVg.html You can also react to Floor Jansen "tapping" other musical genres in Beste Zangers 2019 (TV show from Netherlands) here is a playlist made by Floor herself (start listen it in reverse order..): th-cam.com/play/PL8iSYWeQhlimgUnWw1FDdiJN0msPzqpLo.html To understand better the context of this show you should visit also Jenniezelf's YT channel (En subtitled materials): th-cam.com/users/jenniezelf For entire episodes of the show with En translation, you should check Denise Hofs's DM channel: www.dailymotion.com/xpinkeu/videos Thank you! You appeared on the NW radar, so brace yourself. I loved the comment about the "hollow bones of the enemys" Well, Gabriel visited this comment-section already so you have the most informations. He is actuell like a northern star for everybody who took a step in this rabbit hole. Great video, gotja my like and sub. Hope to see more from NW and Floor. A suggestion outside the box : take a look at Alien Weaponry - Kai Tangata Keep it up 🤙
Two different 'Phantom of the Opera's " associated with Nightwish, one is with the original singer Tarja and Bassist Marco. , (Floor Jansen - is the current singer). Floor does a duet with Henk Poort (who played the Netherlands Phantom) from the show "Beste Zangers, 2019". THAT is one series you'll want to check out down the road. 7 episodes - Floor sings Opera, Ballads, Pop, Salsa in Dutch, German, Spanish and English. Each one more incredible than the first. My vote for greatest singer in the world. In the meantime, you've got about 100+ Nightwish songs to go, (Storytime from the same Wacken Festival a good for next cue). Enjoy - Extremely Addicting!! :-)
Add to that O Mio Babbino Caro in a dutch tv show which features pop/rock singers singing classical and opera songs. Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/Od_qcbw3f5Q/w-d-xo.html
While you're right, I'm gonna technically one up you and say that there are 3 different Phantom of the Opera tracks associated with Nightwish: Two are with Tarja and Marco, while one is from Floor and Henk on Beste Zangers. Everyone always assumes that the live performance of Phantom that Nightwish did is the only one, but forgets that there's the studio track of it that came out on the album Century Child, back in 2002. In fact, it is that track and the arrangement on that track that Floor and Henk used in Beste Zangers.
"Right this instant, I had an overwhelming need to acquire a battle-axe." Yessir that is correct, you have felt the feels that Tuomas sent to you through his music
Hythix Well Tuomas AND Floor with her power vocals and Valyrie outfit. This song is not remotely the same without Floor. And the spine shiffering vocals at the end were all written by Floor. Originally there were no vocals at the end at all. It was only when Floor started singing this song that it became sort of THE Nightwish 'anthem'.
Oh Lord you've done it now: feel that rumble? Hear those feet? See that line of figures coming over the horizon? Nightwish Army incoming... :-) That shiver down your spine on the last note of the vocals is called a 'Floorgasm' - you're welcome. Now here's the kicker: this is about 60% of what Floor can do, you haven't heard Marco (bass) sing yet, and Troy (multi-instrumentalist) wasn't even in this song. This is a deep rabbit hole guys. Re Phantom of the Opera, Floor was on a Dutch TV show called Beste Zangers last year. It's not a competition as such, just singers from different genres doing each other's songs. On that show, she did Phantom with opera singer Henk Poort who played the phantom in Dutch productions. IT. IS. STUNNING: th-cam.com/video/plCScjvDOJM/w-d-xo.html The Nightwish Army will be along with other suggestions.... ;-)
@@MikeandGinger hey Mike & Ginger ! we love genuine reactions especially from couples,so welcome to the NW experience! Floor Jansen is the 3rd,current & final singer for NW ,she was asked in 2012 while still with her previous band ReVamp to abruptly step in & finish the tour due to the previous singer being let go,at the point of this Wacken show she had only been with the band for about 10months or less, every song she sings for this epic 82,000 in attendance was not written for her but every song in my & most opinion is better than the original. NW is a rare band in that they are best LIVE. NW is symphonic Metal ,backing orchestral are from the London Philharmonic mostly all music written & composed by the keyboardest Tuomas .Floor has also done some incredible performances on the Dutch tv show Beste Zangers 2019 : on YT : Phantom of The Opera w/Henk Poort,Vil;ja Lied, the best version of Shallow & much more, the shows format : some top Dutch singers get together and sing eachothers songs but reinterpreted or songs that hold meaning to one of the artists there.
To be honest, I've never seen Floor with a battle-axe, but I did see her wielding a large sledgehammer. But then again, that's not a problem for a Valkyrie... 💪🏻
@@MikeandGinger Yes, putting up fencing for her horse training ring. That is one very strong lady - as you'd expect of someone who stands over 6ft (183cm) in bare feet and can hold over 82,000 people in the palm of her hand!
Another thing to note is that the Keyboardist, Tuomas, composes almost all the songs and works with several Orchestras (London Philharmonic Orchestra) to create the symphony back tracks used in some of their songs since they could not bring the entire symphony on tour. The orchestra and chorus you hear and will hear in many more songs to come are REAL. Also, their live performances are better than most studio songs out there, there's nothing like this symphonic metal band. In my opinion, they are the only band that can play on stage with a smile on their faces and can bring such emotion to each of their songs. I've heard may of their songs over and over and Floor's singing always grabs you and takes you on their rollercoaster journey. In an interview, Floor said she's an empath and feels the emotions of every song, maybe that's why I get so teary eyed when she sings some of those epic pieces...Keep up the great reactions and please continue this musical journey.
Floor Jansen has some classic opera training but she has said that she is not opera singer. She is voice nerd and like to know how different voices are made. She use operatic voice only when song needs it.
But her husband, the drummer of Sabaton, says my wife is an opera singer, I do not know if he is joking about that or not. Sabaton for sure is no opera.
@@fixxa6455 I didn’t argue that Floor doesn’t have the skill for opera singing. She has and and she does it very beautifully and impressively. And she has certainly had qualified teachers. I meant that an opera singer is not her professional identity and she is not fully trained as opera singer.
She is our 6'1" Valkyrie vocal goddess and she commended this stage before 82k+ rabid fans holding them in the palm of her hand. This was the 13th song of a 15 song set as they headlined the Waken Open Air Metal Festival in 2013. She had only been with the band for 10 months. They are the tightest metal band on the planet, and welcome to their community. We just subscribed so that we could join you on your NW journey. Loved your reactions and looking forward to more soon. Pick any song you wish from this concert and you won't be disappointed. Heavy "Romanticide", catchy "Storytime", milder "Amaranth", each song from their songbook of over 120 is unique. Enjoy your ride.
Welcome to Floor Jansen, the 6' Valkyrie Goddess of Metal. You've heard about 40% of what she can do. I've heard her sing rock, metal, classical aria, country, lullaby, smooth jazz, pop and musical. I've heard her sing in English, Dutch, German, Finnish, Spanish, Italian and Latin. I've heard her do deathgrowls and hold a D6 for 8 seconds. And I've heard her do all those things live on stage. Sure, there are singers who can do any of the things she does better than her, but there's only one who can do all of them and sound great and convincing doing it all. She has wonderful performances of Vilja Lied and O Mio Babbino Caro on youtube, just look for Floor Jansen. Also try Nightwish - Shoemaker for some of her operatic qualities.
Floor Jansen in a Dutch television (subtitled) show (for classical music) singing "O mio babbino caro" from Puccini. th-cam.com/video/Od_qcbw3f5Q/w-d-xo.html This was back in 2012 ,nobody had ever heard of Floor Jansen in the Netherlands and certainly didn't expect her to be a singer of a metal band. Look at the faces of the people when they see Floor Jansen being announced. Its funny. Only in 2019 Floor Jansen became known in the Netherlands through a widely viewed TV program called "Beste Zangers". because metal is not played on the radio here.
I love Floor, she's truly out of this world. I think it's fair adding Tarja's performance as well, since Ginger loves Opera I'm sure she will enjoy it and get to know the first Nightwish singer: th-cam.com/video/4NL6xSHWQv0/w-d-xo.html I love Floor, Tarja and Brittney Slayes, they always blow my mind whatever they sing.
They do Phantom of the Opera, but it is with a previous singer, Tarja, Floor does a the same version on a Dutch program, Beste Zangers with Hank Poort. Both are really good.
Definetley some Floorgasms here; enjoy the cigarette. 💖👀💥💥💥 More Nightwish please, this is just the start of a wonderful journey. Next song I suggest 'Storytime' from the same Wacken Concert 2013 Live, another showcase of this wonderful band and the unmatched Floor Jansen on Vocals commanding 82000 people and sending out so much energy and positive vibes.
One thing I don't believe I've seen mentioned anywhere is that the central orchestral interlude of this song is what I call their 'Bohemian Rhapsody' moment. When Queen performed Bohemiam Rhapsody live there was no chance they could reproduce the middle operatic act in a live environment, so they didn't bother trying - they simply disappeared offstage while the backing track played that section. This is the same, and it wouldnt' surprise me to hear that they had decided if it was good enough for Queen then it was good enough for them.
You just experienced your 1st Floorgasm... If you want to hear just how versatile Floor a/k/a the Valkyrie Goddess of Metal is catch the Beste Zangers songs from that Dutch TV show. She sang different genres in different languages and each was an emotional explosion. The Phantom of the Opera will likely get you going so start there but all the songs are awesome. Nightwish is a LIVE band and you experience them especially with Floor so whatever else you do, do it LIVE (this Wacken 2013 is one of the best concerts they gave and has the best audio or you could do Wembley Arena, Tampere (Finland) or Beunes Aires(Argentina) they are all exceptional. Love the reaction and this was just a taste of what power, range and stage presence Floor has in front of these world class musicians.
Oh boy are you in for a lot of treats with this band , just ask the army what type of song you’d like to hear and Nightwish will deliver. They are very diversified with soft , heavy , folky , side projects , epic long songs and are amazing live , enjoyed your reaction and keep em comin 🤘🏼💥🤘🏼
I'm a 66 yr old man, Nightwish first started showing up in my youtube recommendations last Dec. watched this performance had many Floorgasms with tears streaming down my face. I am hooked. Only dates in North America in the revised 2021 tour are Oct 1&2 in LA, Oct 5 in NYC and Oct 7 near boston Ma. As I live 20 min away from that venue (UMass Lowell) wife and I have tickets. Cannot wait to be blown away and empty my tear ducts
Floor Jansen the singer you just heard is there current singer of Nightwish and I have 2 suggestions 1. Storytime from the same show Wacken 2013 ps there is an operatic part in it .2. she sang Phantom of the Opera on the show Beste Zangers 2019 with opera singer Henk Poort , YOU WILL LOVE BOTH OF THESE
Funny how you mentioned Valkyrie Mike. many fans refer to Floor as our Valkyrie warrior queen. Coming to chose us all to go to Valhalla. You guessed it my lovely lady. Floor has attended the Rock Academy in The Netherlands, and has also had operatic training as well as musical theater training. Nightwish' first vocalist was very operatic and they did a version of The Phantom live in 2005. Check out "End of an Era". You will hear how Tarja performed The Phantom. If you would like to hear Floor do a version, check out the performance from a Dutch TV show called "Beste Zangers". See links. th-cam.com/video/tL25rbnvM4o-/w-d-xo.html Phantom from 2005 W/ Tarja th-cam.com/video/plCScjvDOJM/w-d-xo.html - Phantom from Beste Zangers w/ Floor & Henk Poort
Welcome to the greatest band/singer no one had heard of ,but since this seminal Wacken concert more & more are coming to realization of what they had been missing, every song from this show is golden,I suggest : StoryTime, Ever Dream,Amaranth,Bless The Child,Nemo,Romanticide for starters. keep in mind NW has a massive & very active fan base on YT so you will receive a ton of support, this song & band/singer are some of the most reacted to since YT reactions started. so have a great time & enjoy yourselves . cheers
All the members of this band are amazing, but Floor combines a voice that is one of a kind with a stage presence that is very unique. I am SO impressed, every time I watch this. Thanks for your reaction, guys!
I don't know how many times I have seen this and my eyes still tear up, but what is great is that they have even better songs than this🤘🏻🤘🏻. Tubular Bells rocks Welcome to your first Floorgasm. The Nightwish version of Phantom Of The Opera is with Tarja, the first singer for the band. She is awesome as well. More operatic than Floor. But Floor does a great version on the Dutch program called Beste Zangers
12:16 - "I feel like I didn't breathe through that entire song". That's.... The best description of what I feel when I listen to this song, from this show. Thank you for being able to put "that feeling" into words!
"Those drums are kicking ass right now." That's Jukka Nevalainen, and yes if there's one thing he could do, he could beat those drums like they insulted his mother! Unfortunately Jukka had to step aside in 2014 due to issues with chronic insomnia. In 2019 he announced that he was officially retiring but will continue to help with band management. His replacement is Kai Hahto, who is also the drummer for Finnish metal band Wintersun.
That must be the fastest Floorgasm I've ever seen! Ginger was there as soon as Floor opened her mouth. And can we take a second to acknowledge the magnificence of Ginger's red hair? 🤘🔥❤️
in my humble opinion, this is the best live performance, ever … the Queen of Valkyries … and not to forget the absolutely amazing talent on that stage beyond Floor … from the song writing to the total, performance including the amazing drummer … all in all an 10/10 plus
This is the rabbit hole you need to go down. As for Phantom of the Opera, there is the Nightwish version with their old singer, and there is one with Floor and the original Dutch Phantom on the TV show Beste Zangers doing the Nightwish arrangement of Phantom.
So, the Nightwish Trinity started: Ghost Love Score, Wacken 2013 The Poet and the Pendulum, Wembley 2016 (Please inform on the Story of this Song) The Greatest Show on Earth, Tampere 2015 Prepare for the incoming Floorgasms 😉
Floor tweeted this If I hadn't had passionate music teachers in my high school, I might never have started singing. I was the bullied, insecure kid who dreamt of singing without knowing that I had a voice for it. "Because of my dedication at school I dared to crawl out of my shell and started to sing! I became more confident of myself and made friends and was forever in love with music. "Nothing is as wonderful and honest as making music together. Nothing connects as music can. Music education is therefore very important for many reasons. Floor's Wiki Bio Floor Jansen started studying music at the Dutch Rock Academy in 1999, entering the Conservatorium Tilburg three years later. She studied musical theatre and a year of opera. After After Forever split up she started teaching performing in her own course called Wanna be a Star?! She used to play the guitar, piano and flute and has completed several years of music studies. From the age of 16 all during this period she was fronting the the Band Apocalypse (later known as After Forever) in 1997 until they disbanded in 2009. She then did vocal coaching and formed her own band called Revamp which officially broke up in 2016 because of Floor's commitment to Nightwish. The RockAcademy in the Netherlands is an actual Bachelors degree, conservatory style, but focusing on the rock/pop industry
Welcome toNightwish, you've entered the Dream Emporium, and a thousand delights await yuou. Ginger, you have no idea how right you are, in saying that Nightwish is your new favorite band. Over the course of the next several songs, you'll say "THIS is my favorite Nightwish song" several times, with every successive song. That's because they're ALL good. Mike,I hadn't considered Mike Oldfield in relation to Nightwish, but anyone who's memorized 'Tubular Bells' is all right by me.
Tuomas Holopainen - the keyboard player and metalmozart - wrote this song for their album "Once" and for the original operatic singer Tarja Turunen already in 2004. This is maybe the most powerful live of this performance and the ending has been modded from the album version which is actually nice addition. Many people consider this to be not only the best NW song but song in the universe. Check also the concert : End on an Era where is also the best version of "Phantom of the Opera".
Nightwish Army here, wellcome to this amazing universe. Quick tip, always listen to Nightwish LIVE, and Wacked entire concert was a masterpiece, any song will be a blow. Peace and love to you.
Welcome to the magical world of Nightwish ! And your very first "Floorgasm" ! Everything that happens on stage is for telling a story. Fireworks, pyrotechnics, lights, led panels, background music (symphony orchestra) and music played by each band member, vocals ... And each song has its own story. And because every story is different, that’s why Nightwish sounds different in every song and within the song there are variations depending on the course of the story. Why do we call Tuomas "Metal Mozart", there is a very strong reason for it!
@@MikeandGinger Floor declares she is 183cm. A shade over 6'. She wears 4" heels on stage, so.... Some people who have met her say she is taller, but in the absence of other "official" statements I'd go with what Floor says.
Welcome to Nightwish and Floor Jansen! Floor is just one of the greatest vocal talents of our time, but that shouldn't overlook the absolute mastery of this band. Tuomas Holopainen, keyboard player and primary composer is a musical genius in his own right. Ghost Love Score was the best introduction, because it shows off so much of Floor's talent. As follow ups, I would STRONGLY recommend 'The Greatest Show on Earth'. 'Nemo' is their biggest hit, but artistically, Greatest Show is a masterpiece!
It never gets old watching people discover this band. Floor is incredible. Marco the bassist also has some vocal chops as well. The islander live at Tampere pretty good. Also Epica feat. Floor doing Sancta Terra is interesting. Romanticide good as well
Hi Mike and Ginger! Great reaction! Thank you for checking out this legendary band and this amazing performance. In 2013 Nightwish was headliner at this Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany. One of the, if not the largest metal festival in Europe with an audience of more than 80.000 people. The bull's head is its logo. I want to welcome you into the world of symphonic metal, in particular the beautiful and wonderful world of Nightwish and its huge loving, loyal, very dedicated and ever growing fan community, the Nightwish Army! To start off, here's some information about the band, its history and its current and former members. Nightwish is a Female Fronted Symphonic Metal band from Finland, founded in 1996 by keyboard player Tuomas Holopainen (poet, composer, lyricist, multi-instrumentalist, record producer). It's safe to say that 95% of all Nightwish' music and lyrics, including most of the orchestration, comes from Tuomas. Current lineup: - Tuomas Holopainen (keyboards, 1996-present) - Erno "Emppu" Vuorinen (lead guitar, 1996-present) - Marko Hietala (bass, guitar, vocals, 2001-present) - Troy Donockley (UK, multi-instrumentalist: Uilleann pipes, whistles, flutes, bouzouki, acoustic and electric guitar, vocals, 2007-2013 guest musician, 2013-present permanent member) - Floor Jansen (Netherlands, most versatile vocals, 2012-2013 temporary replacement, 2013-present permanent member) - Kai Hahto (drums, 2014-2019 temporary replacement, 2019-present permanent member) Former members: - Tarja Turunen (operatic vocals, 1996-2005) - Jukka Nevalainen (drums, 1997-2019, 2014-2019 temporary leave due to health issues, 2019 permanent leave, still actively involved with the band's business) - Sami Vänskä (bass, 1998-2001) - Anette Olzon (Sweden, pop rock vocals, 2007-2012) Hopefully, you'll continue this adventurous journey with us. There are much more amazing and diverse Nightwish songs worth discovering. There's not one song the same as another. The best way to get acquainted with the band and its music is through live performances. Although they sound great on albums, they're even better live, as you've experienced already. Basically, you can't go wrong with any song from Wacken 2013, Wembley 2015, Tampere 2015 and Buenos Aires 2019. But to give you some direction as to where to start, here's a recommendation for songs to begin with, in no particular order: - Storytime (Wacken 2013) - Last Ride Of The Day (Wacken 2013) - Song Of Myself (Wacken 2013) - Ever Dream (Wacken 2013) - Wish I Had An Angel (Wacken 2013) - Nemo (Wacken 2013) - Romanticide (Wacken 2013) - Ghost River (Wacken 2013) - Yours Is An Empty Hope (Wembley 2015) - Élan (Buenos Aires 2019) - Alpenglow (Official Live) - I Want My Tears Back (Buenos Aires 2019) - Weak Fantasy (Tampere 2015) - Devil & The Deep Dark Ocean (Buenos Aires 2019) Marko, the bassist, is an amazing vocalist as well. Songs that showcase his vocal abilities are: - The Islander (Tampere 2015) - While Your Lips Are Still Red (Wembley 2015) - High Hopes (Pink Floyd cover, End Of An Era 2005) The following songs are recommended after you've become more acquainted with the band: - Poet & The Pendulum (Wembley 2015 with lyrics. This song is very personal to Tuomas. Highly recommended to read up on the backstory first to help you understand the lyrics and the state of mind Tuomas was in when he wrote this song.) - The Greatest Show On Earth (Tampere 2015 with lyrics. This song is about the forming of the Earth, the forming and cycle of evolution of all life, the destruction of Earth and the start of new life. Highly recommended to watch the entire video, all the way till after the end credits.) From the Tarja-era, any song from the From Wishes To Eternity 2001 DVD and the End Of An Era 2005 DVD: - Wishmaster - Sleeping Sun - Nemo - Ever Dream - Wish I Had An Angel - Walking In The Air - Over The Hills And Far Away - Phantom Of The Opera (Official Live) The Anette-era: - Amaranth (Official Music Video) - Scaretale (Official Live) - Exit Festival 2008 - Montreux 2012 Nightwish has a new (double) album, Human. :II: Nature., out since April 10th 2020. It is not a concept album, but the themes are linked to one another. The second part of the album is entirely instrumental. After the above mentioned songs, this would be a good moment to listen to this album. It is highly recommended to listen to the songs in order of their appearance on the album, because of their connection. You're about to embark on an amazing musical journey. We'll be here to support you and help you navigate through the songs. Have fun and enjoy the ride!
Her name is Floor Jansen and she is a Valkyrie Goddess ...and she has cast her spell on you ..The Nightwish Army is coming ..BE PREPARED ..GREAT REACTION !!!
ladies and gentlemen floor jansen of the finnish symphonic metal band nightwish,... signs of a fullon floorgasm, eyes popping out, smiles from ear to ear, goosebumps, tingles, memories of the past, shaking your head in disbeleif, nodding your head to marcos riffs, and jukka's drumbeats, thoughts of completeing your tasks for the valkyrie queen, more goosebumps, smiles keep widening, overcome with emotions as tears well up, somewhere in the afterlife lord ronnie james dio bowsto his knees wheen floor jansen sings while flashing the horns, the NF L needs to pay nightwish 100 million to fly in and perform this song, the greatest show on eartrh and ever dream at the superbowl halftime show would be epic cuz america needs to discover this band
Every Nightwish song from the Wacken 2013 set is awesome. Every. Song. Please react to these songs from Wacken 2013: "Storytime", "Romanticide", "Song of Myself", "Dark Chest of Wonders" (the show opener), "I want My Tears Back" and any other song from the Nightwish Wacken 2013 set (just pick one - you will be blown away). By the way, that sound you may be hearing (the one that sounds like thousands of marching feet) is the Nightwish Army - they are coming. Keep reacting to Nightwish and your subscriber list is about to explode. Seriously.
That’s Floor Jansen, in my opinion the best female vocalist in the world. She’s Dutch and trained indeed. Everytime I hear this it brings tears to my eyes.
Floor Jansen check her out on a Dutch reality show beste zangers 2019 she does the phantom of the opera with Henk poort a professional voice coach also and he played the phantom of the opera professional for years in Dutch, thanks 😊
She is classicly trained and has also been a vocal coach. Wow what a rabbithole you stepped into. For each song you react to you will get more and more amazed by the whole band. I'm totally in for this journey. You just had your first Floorgasm Hahahahaha
Nightwish did d the phantom of the opera but with the previous singer Tarja, but if you want to see Floor Jansen doing phantom of the opera check her out on a Dutch reality show beste zangers 2019 she does the phantom of the opera with Henk poort a professional voice coach also and he played the phantom of the opera professional for years in Dutch, thanks 😊
Congratulations on your first Floorgasms! Floor Jansen is the lead singer here, having famously taken over mid-tour, as documented in the video "Please Learn The Setlist In 48 Hours" available here on TH-cam - it is in Finnish, but has English subtitles, and is well worth a watch, They somehow neglect to mention that the call from Nightwish came to Floor at her sister's wedding in her native Netherlands on Saturday 29th September 2012, she met them at Salt Lake City the following day (fortunately a rest day) and was on stage with them at Seattle on Monday 1st October! This concert was just 10 months later, while Floor was still, officially, a stand-in, although it latr emerged that a few weeks earlier the offer had been made and accepted of full membership of Nightwish, there was some kind of contractual reason why it couldn't be announced until after the tour. Floor is even better with the material written specifically for her and to take advantage of her capabilities, which are way in excess of what is demanded of her in this song. She is, quite simply, the most versatile female vocalist on earth.
The floodgates has open. Your journey with Nightwish has begun, and it’s gonna be a wild ride. And we the worldwide Nightwish fans are with you all the way. Awesome reaction👍🇸🇪
She has had classical opera training, in fact she has trained at a couple of music academies, and before Nightwish she was a vocal coach and vocal teacher while being part of her first band AFTER FOREVER
Singer of epica (simone) and singer of nightwish (floor). Both are proficient in opera, classical, pop and metal techniques. The style of these two groups (epica & nightwish) is symphonic metal. This style uses a combination of symphonic, opera and metal elements. And it is interesting to know that these two groups work very well together and even have a common song with each other, and the fans of both groups strongly support each other.
Welcome to Symphonic Metal, you just discovered one of the greatest bands ever, originating from Finland in 1996, this band sells out Stadiums and Arenas all over the world, not so much in the USA yet although that seems to be changing quickly! Their catalogue of work is vast and varied, enjoy the ride, you are going to love it 😊
Campinas, Brasil division on the field!!! Great reaction to Nightwish by the way. Ginger was introduced to Floorgasm faster than anyone else. Our metal Goddess are awesome isn't she? She has the Power to provide goosebumps in a dead body with her siren voice and her angelical singing. Getting chills listen to her is a normal thing don' t get surprised. Any music of this amazing show can be your next reaction 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Floor........her very presence let alone her beautiful voice and vocal range just take's one's breath away and she being part of this fantasic band makes for a great performance....welcome to the Nightwish Army....also what a lovely presentation by you goodselves.
Nightwish Army Belgium checking in. Glad to see you discovered the best female voice on this planet, our valkyrie. Love to see you do more reacts on Floor.
The Nightwish Army is here!! Thank you for the video, reaction and comments. Ok, I'll start by saying that Floor Jansen is the 6 foot 1, Dutch Goddess of all things vocal. She is an opera soprano, studied and coaches opera and is a vocal coach. Her influence is Henk Poort which she had the honor of performing Phantom of the Opera duet with as he is a professional opera singer and played the Dutch version of the Phantom for many years. The performance was from a TV show in the Netherlands called Beste Zangers and they performed it as the show's grand finale in the last episode in December 2019. The band is from Finland with the exception of Floor and multi instrumentalist Troy Donockley (UK) which became official members of the band on October 9th 2013. Tuomas is the keyboard player, founded the band, and composes everything you hear including all orchestral and choir parts which are prerecorded by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the City of London Choir in Angel Studios in London under his direction. Marko- Bass/Vocals Emppu- Guitar Jukka- Drums The band started out as a 5 piece which included singer Tarja and bass player, Sami, but not Troy. Sami was replaced by Marko in 2001, Tarja left the band in 2005 and was replaced by Anette in 2007 who left on September 29, 2012 and was replaced by Floor for the remainder of the tour. She had only 48 hours to learn the set before her first performance in Seattle, Washington on October 1st. Jukka was forced to step down as the Drummer in 2015 because of health problems due to insomnia. His friend Kai took over drumming duties until he became permanent in 2019 when Jukka announced he was not returning to the band but will remain behind the scenes taking care of other duties. If you want to, check out her performance with Henk in Beste Zangers "Phantom of the Opera". Another suggestion for the Waken Open Air 2013 concert is "Song of Myself". Thanks again for the video, stay safe and stay blessed. 😊❤🤘🤘
I don't think people understand, thousands of reactions honestly at this point and I haven't seen enough! Thanks for the great reaction. I see you also did Shoemaker and Phantom so i"m going to be around for a while. Thanks again and keep up the great work. I love your love for Floor and If I can give a suggestion I think I haven't yet found on the channel its 'How's the heart' especially the acoustic version. Floor goes full siren godmode and I swear you'll love it.
Floor is such a godlike vocalist that that she makes these very difficult vocals look easy. Floor has had operatic training. She is a soprano with a range of more than three octaves. And the band is incredibly talented.
Floor Jansen started studying music at the Dutch Rock Academy in 1999, entering the Conservatorium Tilburg three years later. She studied musical theatre and a year of opera.
I been a fan since 2010 and every time I hear a night wish song it give me chills with all 3 singer yes they had 3 singer's but don't worry the night wish army will tell you the history and welcome night wish army.
Floor Jansen is a classically trained opera singer and professional voice coach as well thanks 😊she can sing in different styles and languages, awesome awesome thanks 😊
Think of Nightwish as the band where Metallica, Iron Maiden and Pantera meet Hans Zimmer, John Williams and Richard Wagner. Its an all star cast whose keyboard player is one of the greatest composers of our time. They can be epic, delicate, brutal and everything in btw.
This is one of the best ever performances of all time, the band sound incredible, and Floor as always is sublime. Thoroughly enjoyed your reaction. To get the full experience of the band, and some contrast, I would suggest checking The Siren, with original singer Tarja, and for balance checking Slow, Love Slow with second singer Anett, you see some real versatility. Mike definitely needs a Viking helmet.
👍
@@rayraudebaugh5395 if you have not heard their original vocalist and co-founder, Tarja Turunen, you should try her as well
Guys! Advice: react to as many nightwish songs as you want and can. Fans NEVER get bored lol and its such an amazing journey.
Be aware of the Nightwish Army they will be marching in your direction...... seriously folks we are not a bad lot just passionate you will get lots of recommendations of what to listen to next I will leave all the details to Gabriel he will be commenting as soon as you hit his radar.

Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory):
" Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer.
So be prepared. lol "

and Sancta Terra by Epica would be amazing!!
Absolutely agree on the Phantom @ Beste Zangers rec.!
"Right this instant, I had an overwhelming need to acquire a battle-axe."
Yessir that is correct, you have felt the feels that Tuomas sent to you through his music
That shiver down your spine on the last note of the vocals is called a 'Floorgasm' - you're welcome.
IT. IS. STUNNING: th-cam.com/video/plCScjvDOJM/w-d-xo.html
The Nightwish Army will be along with other suggestions.... ;-)
Sweet! - G

Nice! -M
@@MikeandGinger Yes, putting up fencing for her horse training ring. That is one very strong lady - as you'd expect of someone who stands over 6ft (183cm) in bare feet and can hold over 82,000 people in the palm of her hand!
Floor with a sledgehammer? It must be Thor Jansen!
@@rolandbluesman2881 💪🏻🤟🤣🤣
Battle hammers are a thing. :)
Floor IS Metal Valkyrie Goddest !!
You forgot and left out the word supreme in her title. Lol. :-)
She always liked to sing very high and was trained by a teacher from conservatorium and theater on that opera singing.
Richard Frye yeah but her teacher was from the conservatorium and >theater, teaching also these opera songs.
@@fixxa6455 I didn’t argue that Floor doesn’t have the skill for opera singing. She has and and she does it very beautifully and impressively. And she has certainly had qualified teachers. I meant that an opera singer is not her professional identity and she is not fully trained as opera singer.
@@Idefixu That was joke for sure. And he hears operatic singing at home sometimes. No doubt.
Next. "Storytime" and "Romanticide" or "Dark Chest of Wonders" Wacken 2013 LIVE ! Stay safe.
Btw. i can hear "Wartrums"! Nightwish Army is comming !!

This was back in 2012 ,nobody had ever heard of Floor Jansen in the Netherlands and certainly didn't expect her to be a singer of a metal band.
I think it's fair adding Tarja's performance as well, since Ginger loves Opera I'm sure she will enjoy it and get to know the first Nightwish singer:

I love Floor, Tarja and Brittney Slayes, they always blow my mind whatever they sing.
Nightwish army stand by....👍😀
They do Phantom of the Opera, but it is with a previous singer, Tarja, Floor does a the same version on a Dutch program, Beste Zangers with Hank Poort. Both are really good.
Henk. Its Henk Poort, but other than that I totally agree.😉
Definetley some Floorgasms here; enjoy the cigarette. 💖👀💥💥💥
More Nightwish please, this is just the start of a wonderful journey.
Fair point! -M
Sadly, those concerts are all on the wrong side of a closed border for us. -M
Honestly you can pick any song from this show to react to And you will not be disappointed
Floor Jansen the singer you just heard is there current singer of Nightwish and I have 2 suggestions 1. Storytime from the same show Wacken 2013 ps there is an operatic part in it .2. she sang Phantom of the Opera on the show Beste Zangers 2019 with opera singer Henk Poort , YOU WILL LOVE BOTH OF THESE
Excellent suggestions.
Romanticide, Ghost River and Everdream are great as well from the same Wacken 2013
Concert show
You'd definitely enjoy Nightwish show live... It's just out of this world. Easily the best concert I've ever seen.
See links.

When she commands you to accompany her through the gates of Valhalla, the correct response is: "Right away, Your Majesty!"
Welcome to the greatest band/singer no one had heard of ,but since this seminal Wacken concert more & more are coming to realization of what they had been missing, every song from this show is golden,I suggest : StoryTime, Ever Dream,Amaranth,Bless The Child,Nemo,Romanticide for starters.
keep in mind NW has a massive & very active fan base on YT so you will receive a ton of support, this song & band/singer are some of the most reacted to since YT reactions started.
so have a great time & enjoy yourselves . cheers
I Love Love Love watching people hear Nightwish for the first time.
Next up should be Romanticide from the same 2013 concert.
All the members of this band are amazing, but Floor combines a voice that is one of a kind with a stage presence that is very unique. I am SO impressed, every time I watch this. Thanks for your reaction, guys!
She's obviously amazing. Thanks for watching! -M
Best live ever
I don't know how many times I have seen this and my eyes still tear up, but what is great is that they have even better songs than this🤘🏻🤘🏻.
Tubular Bells rocks
Welcome to your first Floorgasm.
Nightwish fans never get tired of people appreciating them and their Siren Goddess Ms Jansen, so keep enjoying them and keep the videos coming :)
"Those drums are kicking ass right now."
That's Jukka Nevalainen, and yes if there's one thing he could do, he could beat those drums like they insulted his mother! Unfortunately Jukka had to step aside in 2014 due to issues with chronic insomnia. In 2019 he announced that he was officially retiring but will continue to help with band management. His replacement is Kai Hahto, who is also the drummer for Finnish metal band Wintersun.
The ecstatic bliss on your face during this performance was just epic to watch. Yes, she commands the stage.
🌹💖✨
Plz more nightwish 🤘🤘🤘 peace from Austria 🤘🤘🤘
Hello in Austria. We enjoyed this a lot, there's no doubt we'll do more! -M
There is ONE Queen of Metal...Floor Jansen!
That must be the fastest Floorgasm I've ever seen! Ginger was there as soon as Floor opened her mouth.
And can we take a second to acknowledge the magnificence of Ginger's red hair? 🤘🔥❤️
Absolutely! -M
Why, thank you, good sir! Don't you know that red is nature's warning signal? ;) - G
in my humble opinion, this is the best live performance, ever … the Queen of Valkyries … and not to forget the absolutely amazing talent on that stage beyond Floor … from the song writing to the total, performance including the amazing drummer … all in all an 10/10 plus
Cute! Your first Floorgasm! Many to come!
This is the rabbit hole you need to go down. As for Phantom of the Opera, there is the Nightwish version with their old singer, and there is one with Floor and the original Dutch Phantom on the TV show Beste Zangers doing the Nightwish arrangement of Phantom.
So, the Nightwish Trinity started:
Ghost Love Score, Wacken 2013
The Poet and the Pendulum, Wembley 2016 (Please inform on the Story of this Song)
The Greatest Show on Earth, Tampere 2015
Prepare for the incoming Floorgasms 😉
Floor tweeted this
If I hadn't had passionate music teachers in my high school, I might never have started singing.
Floor's Wiki Bio
Floor Jansen started studying music at the Dutch Rock Academy in 1999, entering the Conservatorium Tilburg three years later. She studied musical theatre and a year of opera.
Very cool, thank for that! -M
Remember that they had been playing over 1 hour by the time they reached this song, with more to come. 82,000 happy fans.
So much fun to see people hear Nightwish for the first time. It never gets old.
Nightwish Army here, wellcome to this amazing universe. Quick tip, always listen to Nightwish LIVE, and Wacked entire concert was a masterpiece, any song will be a blow.
Peace and love to you.
Now you have alot of Nightwish songs to react to :) More Nightwish from Wacken and Tampere please.
Welcome to the Nightwish Army!!! YOU WERE NOT READY FOR THE NOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
New sub! I’m 67 and was introduced to Nightwish by my son about 10 years ago. What a journey you’re about to embark on❤️❤️❤️
Awesome! Thank you! -M
Edit to add: I've seen so many comments about Floor's height I first thought you were saying you're 6'7" :)
Romanticide good as well
and that s how you send all the pop divas back to school ,)
Yep! -M
Current lineup:
- Tuomas Holopainen (keyboards, 1996-present)
- Erno "Emppu" Vuorinen (lead guitar, 1996-present)
- Marko Hietala (bass, guitar, vocals, 2001-present)
- Troy Donockley (UK, multi-instrumentalist: Uilleann pipes, whistles, flutes, bouzouki, acoustic and electric guitar, vocals, 2007-2013 guest musician, 2013-present permanent member)
- Floor Jansen (Netherlands, most versatile vocals, 2012-2013 temporary replacement, 2013-present permanent member)
- Kai Hahto (drums, 2014-2019 temporary replacement, 2019-present permanent member)
Former members:
- Tarja Turunen (operatic vocals, 1996-2005)
- Jukka Nevalainen (drums, 1997-2019, 2014-2019 temporary leave due to health issues, 2019 permanent leave, still actively involved with the band's business)
- Sami Vänskä (bass, 1998-2001)
- Anette Olzon (Sweden, pop rock vocals, 2007-2012)
Hopefully, you'll continue this adventurous journey with us.
But to give you some direction as to where to start, here's a recommendation for songs to begin with, in no particular order:
- Storytime (Wacken 2013)
- Last Ride Of The Day (Wacken 2013)
- Song Of Myself (Wacken 2013)
- Ever Dream (Wacken 2013)
- Wish I Had An Angel (Wacken 2013)
- Nemo (Wacken 2013)
- Romanticide (Wacken 2013)
- Ghost River (Wacken 2013)
- Yours Is An Empty Hope (Wembley 2015)
- Élan (Buenos Aires 2019)
- Alpenglow (Official Live)
- I Want My Tears Back (Buenos Aires 2019)
- Weak Fantasy (Tampere 2015)
- Devil & The Deep Dark Ocean (Buenos Aires 2019)
Marko, the bassist, is an amazing vocalist as well.
Songs that showcase his vocal abilities are:
- The Islander (Tampere 2015)
- While Your Lips Are Still Red (Wembley 2015)
- High Hopes (Pink Floyd cover, End Of An Era 2005)
The following songs are recommended after you've become more acquainted with the band:
- Poet & The Pendulum (Wembley 2015 with lyrics. This song is very personal to Tuomas. Highly recommended to read up on the backstory first to help you understand the lyrics and the state of mind Tuomas was in when he wrote this song.)
- The Greatest Show On Earth (Tampere 2015 with lyrics. This song is about the forming of the Earth, the forming and cycle of evolution of all life, the destruction of Earth and the start of new life. Highly recommended to watch the entire video, all the way till after the end credits.)
From the Tarja-era, any song from the From Wishes To Eternity 2001 DVD and the End Of An Era 2005 DVD:
- Wishmaster
- Sleeping Sun
- Nemo
- Ever Dream
- Wish I Had An Angel
- Walking In The Air
- Over The Hills And Far Away
- Phantom Of The Opera (Official Live)
The Anette-era:
- Amaranth (Official Music Video)
- Scaretale (Official Live)
- Exit Festival 2008
- Montreux 2012
Nightwish has a new (double) album, Human.
Holy smokes! That is a significant amount of info! Thank you for all of that. We will definitely be doing more Nightwish. We both loved them. -G

Well, in that show she started with a song called Vilja`s lied (lied is Dutch for song) and thats from an operette written by Franz Litz.
This is one of the most epic live performances ever. Glad you liked and greetings from Finland! ⛄
It was awesome, for sure. Greetings back at you from Canada! -M
Welcome to the Nightwish Experience! Congrats on your first of many Floorgasms! Enjoy! 🔥🤙
I love to see people react to nightwish the same way that I did when I first saw them. I was blown away!!!
She is classicly trained and has also been a vocal coach. Wow what a rabbithole you stepped into. For each song you react to you will get more and more amazed by the whole band. I'm totally in for this journey. You just had your first Floorgasm Hahahahaha
While Mike is processing it Ginger is living it. I love your reaction guys.
Thanks Marc. We do come at things in very different ways, as you noticed. :) -M
Shivers down your spine, goosebumps, and an instand wish to aquire a battle axe..
Most acurate description of a Floorgasm I've ever heard...lol
Thank you!
She has had classical opera training, in fact she has trained at a couple of music academies, and before Nightwish she was a vocal coach and vocal teacher while being part of her first band AFTER FOREVER
Welcome to the world of Floorgasms!
I have been a massive fan of Floor before she even joined Nightwish. I still get goosebumps EVERY time I hear her. She is Angelic
Nice you enjoy so much
Singer of epica (simone) and singer of nightwish (floor).
Any music of this amazing show can be your next reaction 🤘🏻🤘🏻
great reaction and congratulations with your first floorgasm . please,,the poet and the pendulum .
Thanks! We're sure to get to Poet and the Pendulum, it's been recommended a lot. -M
Nightwish Army in 3...2....1.....
Floor........her very presence let alone her beautiful voice and vocal range just take's one's breath away and she being part of this fantasic band makes for a great performance....welcome to the Nightwish Army....also what a lovely presentation by you goodselves.
Welcome to the Nightwish family, my friends. Your life is never going to be the same...
Nightwish Army Belgium checking in. Glad to see you discovered the best female voice on this planet, our valkyrie. Love to see you do more reacts on Floor.
Hello Belgium! We're sure to do more, we both enjoyed her voice a lot! -M
Not much moves me to go see live music anymore but I wouldn't hesitate to see Nightwish. That was some gorgeous magic. Absolutely epic.
We have tickets for their show in Massachusetts in October next year 😁
The Nightwish Army is here!!
Marko- Bass/Vocals
Emppu- Guitar
Jukka- Drums
The band started out as a 5 piece which included singer Tarja and bass player, Sami, but not Troy.
And Floor takes 2 souls at the same time, welcome to the club guys❣️
Your spirit leaving your body is called a Floorgasm 😄
I don't think people understand, thousands of reactions honestly at this point and I haven't seen enough! Thanks for the great reaction. I see you also did Shoemaker and Phantom so i"m going to be around for a while. Thanks again and keep up the great work. I love your love for Floor and If I can give a suggestion I think I haven't yet found on the channel its 'How's the heart' especially the acoustic version. Floor goes full siren godmode and I swear you'll love it.
Thank you! I’m glad you’re enjoying it! We definitely have that one on the list 👍🏻 Stay cool - G
Floor is such a godlike vocalist that that she makes these very difficult vocals look easy. Floor has had operatic training. She is a soprano with a range of more than three octaves. And the band is incredibly talented.
So happy to hear Mike Oldfield mentioned in a NW reaction!!!!!!!!
So I guess I'm not the only one who found some similarities! -M
Beautiful reaction
Floor Jansen started studying music at the Dutch Rock Academy in 1999, entering the Conservatorium Tilburg three years later. She studied musical theatre and a year of opera.
No matter what she sings, she causes goosebumps. She is a mixture of Valkyrie, Circe and Siren....
YES, Nightwish😍😍💪!!! More please!
Floor is something out of this world !
Great reaction. Welcome to the nightwish rabbit hole. Once started, you get addicted. Rock on.
Thanks! -M
I been a fan since 2010 and every time I hear a night wish song it give me chills with all 3 singer yes they had 3 singer's but don't worry the night wish army will tell you the history and welcome night wish army.
Floor's physical stature is phenomenal...at over 6' tall she is a Valkyrie. She can sing anything! And yes! She is classically trained....
Great comparison! -M
