I havent seen any in my local Walmart. But depending on price, and every other has a old prizm pack...they are definitely worth the chance. I mean you could have pulled some fire from those prizm packs....you didn't, but you have to have a chance at pulling something good! I'd buy em all too.
As you know, MJ Holding stocks every wal-mart and Walgreens among other retail outlets, they are a massive distributor and have been for years, these packs are literally old stock they find or have in their warehouse as back stock. This next thought is just a theory, but I think it would be better for them to sell the boxes these packs were in unopened, but I believe there are rules as to how the distributors can clear out old stock. This type of repack box allows them to open old stock and use the product in these mystery boxes.
In most areas the employees stocking don’t actually work for MJ Holdings, but rather for a 3rd party that stocks their product. In Walmart, the product is stocked by Anderson Merchandisers. They also stock gift cards and other items.
In one of the older formats of basketball repacks, I pulled an AD rookie auto from one of those Contenders packs. The bottom border was absolutely mangled but it was still a really great pull!

Probably stocked them and somebody just grabbed them instantly. Or the person stocking bought them before they even went out... thats what all the ones within 60 miles of me are. You can't tell that they were stocked because they come in a blank white "hanger box display".

I opened 3 of these, first one got a luka optic rookie and second one I got a luka threads dazzle rookie, third I got a trae young donruss rookie. I made out pretty good I’d say.

I used to buy those repack orange box with 1-2 packs and bunch of bases in the middle. Best pull was 17-18 hoops kobe tribute /75 checkerboard.

A box of the prizm mega sold on ebay recently for $727 making each pack worth $120. These guys must have been sitting on those packs for years.

You're not wrong and looking at the seals can confirm that. Last year's football boxes had similar complaints.
On the back I believe it says mega, but megas don’t have 4 cards, so they might just be those 4 card gravity packs
