    These came on my new Scorpion ergo slingshot. The slingshot is great and fits like a glove. I like the concept of the ties but the ends of the orange tips are too sharp and have already cut the tubing. I suggest that they be sanded down and rounded off a bit before being put into the tubing. Otherwise, it's a neat way to tie on a bandset.

    After having moved to mechanical attachments I am sticking with them. This looks cool though.

    That's how I got my Tac Driver from you!
    Now if only I could find band that small, for when it eventually breaks...

    U need to do closeup’s shots of your tie off technique. Tie offs are
    excellent.

    Do you think shrink tubing would work for the tips?

    • @MasterBillHays
      @MasterBillHays  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Try it and let us know! My guess is the melting point of the latex and the shrink heat point might be to similar though.

      tubes work great tied straight to the frame Rufus Hussey style, last well, are plenty powerful enough and beat the living beegees out of slicing up sheet latex fadstyle. Target intention breeds practical engineering skill, hunting intention breeds contemptuous codependency . I pity any of you who have fired on a creature that wasn't threatening you

    Those little "coffee sippy" things are known as "stirrers" - they're not for sipping. You need to get out more, Bill.

    nice way to add expense and retardism to a simple engineering tactic all boys should intuitively grasp any way. Many of us grew up making slingshots in a similar fashion to Rufus Hussey, wrap and tuck or bicycle tyre loop fasteners have always worked great.... when i wrap and tuck tube bands to a natural fork the bandset stays fast ..... through the fork drawing from the fastened side low fork no handslaps or fork hits. I love the fork design btw, but I abhor dependency on repeat custom.

    And when the flap loosens? Then the whole thing comes apart. No thank you, I will still use my good old method that costs me nothing extra.
    Thin strips that I cut of Thera Band, wrap them around a few times and before the last 3 rounds I put a string loop in between and stick the strip in the loop, then a quick pull on the string, cut off the excess strip and ready to go. Never had problems with it.
