Gotta say this is the best irar vid I’ve seen. Yesterday was only getting it 5% of the time. Watched your vid and the part that lists problems and mistakes helped me realize what I was doing wrong and today I’m getting it 70% of the time. Appreciate you!!
Finally a good tutorial. This is the only one that explains what the timings are for the inputs rather than just what the inputs are. I understand the the timings now and just need to get used to it
Basically Gimr’s ‘new tech’ is same as here. You can use diagonal right instead of straight for extra buffer-ability in some situations. Probably you were already doing that, I was, it’s just kind of how the input work out in practice.
im new to smash since december and this vid helped me and i realized today hey ive already been doing this tech lol i guess this new one from gimr is “easier” or consistent but im still trying to find the shortcut for bair though…
@@carharttcarpenterpants the only thing new was the concept of IRAR-ing away from your opponent after a shield hit so you can drift in with a fair. It's actually a neat point that most people were not utilizing, but yeah, most of the "slingshot" is just recycled
Another banger of a video. I like the technical breakdown, it helps with my understanding of the differences between each technique. I sometimes find it difficult to land Samus bairs so hopefully this helps with that.
Basically, you can press at the same time. However, in many examples gimr BUFFERS the dash forward + backwards diagonal input. That’s fine, but you cannot buffer jump. So the input when in lag, say you DTilt -> during last 7 frames of dtilt lag: dash forward -> diagonal down left … then when endlag ends you press jump while still holding backwards diagonal
Question: do you know what mistake im making to cause my aeriels to come out in the other direction? I know I’m pressing the C stick to the right, but sometimes the game gives me a bair to the left, and I don’t get how that even happens.
Just discovered this today and it was super helpful as I am trying to learn Mario’s dtilt -> bair confirm.

Thank you, as someone who's struggling a lot with this kind of techs, it's really helpful to have to precisions about this
So simple and straight to the point, you’re goated

Lol kind of crazy that’s what we were waiting for
Thanks man. Spent all day trying to figure out what was new.

I am so tired of "New Slingshot Combo!" showing up everywhere lol. We literally already could do all of those
Great Tutorial, I hate attack canceling as its always felt inconsistent to me. I picked this up in like 5 minutes thanks to this video!
This video deserved a million likes for how helpful it was
Wow this actually helps I was having trouble doing jab to bair with Chrom and nair to bair with Link cause I didn’t know the frame data thanks

Thanks for the Irar tutorial, I couln't get the d tilt fair, to irar bair combo very consistantly this helped alot.

Hi. Thank you for the vid. With Gimr’s tech, do you still press jump and and the down-diagonal at the same time? He seems to do it in succession.

@@hivesteel Okay. Thank you.
Hey buddy! For Ken and Ryu is it the same inputs? Since they have the auto turn around mechanic.
I think so, maybe the timing is harder for them but I’ve been using the same inputs
Thank you 😄😄😄
How do you chain it though? Are you supposed to land early or do you just keep spamming till you get it
Rising bair through IRAR, fastfall, into another IRAR

you’re probably inputing jump too early, before you turned around
@@hivesteel OK thanks
It seems like this video is corrupted… I’ve tried revisiting this particular video multiple times and it never plays. Love everything you do!
that’s really weird it’s playing fine on my phone / pc, not sure what I can do, I’ll search about it
Works for me as well
Good video!! :)
will this help for dk's dash attack -> bair?
The timing is tight but IRAR is the way
that shit is extremely hard, way harder than attack cancel
Its hardaf for me to do this i have a nintendo lite
yeah that must be hard to use!
I think IRAR is pretty hard though no matter the controller :) keep practicing a little bit every day
cover b reverse :))))))
ya next one
turnaround B + B reverse + wavebounce I guess
les gooo
