I too find this to be a beautifully clear and succinct introduction to Plotinus and his love of Plato. But threading the context back to Socrates and Diotima adds some wonderful perspective too. Both practical and fascinating, I find myself listening to this every day at the moment.

Thank you Matthew Roscoe and SES for this beautiful introduction of Plotinus, and for what he stands. The beauty of it all shines through, in and out of this presentation. Awakening and heartwarming. Everything starts with practice. So join those who do. Give it a chance... Recommended!

Plotinus has been a great inspiration and guide for me for many years. It was Plotinus's Ennead On Beauty (I.6) that first drew me into the world of Plotinus. I plan on rereading it to start off 2024. Thanks for this thoughtful video.

Raising consciousness will automatically hit those points...but this is not something you do by trying, it is by directly affecting the brain by meditation or breathwork but then of course all the lessons of life need to be learned by each individual through epiphanies or knowledge.
It ain't easy being cheesy it actually takes work....I'm still working on it too, not like I know anything....I'm a blank book too

Hi Mike, Thanks for replying. Raising consciousness is a good idea, however individuals may get there! Thanks for watching.

Most Germans closed their eyes as The Holocaust unfolded .?
Not sure that was Plotinus' intention.. But then , he was a " philosopher "
and had Zero understanding of the Real World. The view from an ivory
    tower always looks lovely.
