the carillon is an enormous tower filled with 100 tons of bronze bells, some the size of a car, that you play with a massive keyboard at the top of the tower.

That was the carillon's way of stopping you from playing the forbidden riff.
If someone would have told me 10 years ago than I'd be absolutely enthralled watching a 30 min documentary about church bells in Chicago, followed by a 1+ hour recording of the songs played during the filming of said recording, I would have laughed at their face. Mind you, that is an oddly specific scenario and I was 11 back then, but still.

is the video just a still image? I haven't been able to see any leaves rustling in the trees and I highly doubt there's zero wind at the University of Chicago.

The thing I've noticed is that there are a few notes/bells that just stick and are more pronounced than the rest in every piece played.
I wonder if that's player error, if it's intentional, if it's written in the piece (which I extremely highly doubt), if it has something to do with the way the mechanisms have worn over time, if it has to do with the way the bells have worn, if it's because thos certain bells have just recently been rotated/maintained, if it has to do with pitch, resonance, wavelength/its ability to travel, or if it's just the mic's location in relation to the bells and where the sound is coming from...
And many other variables I don't feel like listing.
Edit: Also, that B3 sounds disgusting (yes, I know why it does)
