After he learned that, he would have had to persuade Harry to turn himself in - and defended him on a guilty plea - to be considered as his lawyer. To give a person admitting guilt legal advice on how to escape charges and prosecution is against the law.

Obviously this is a soap so this did not happen but The autopsy would have shown that cause of death was from being strangled so you would think at some point that fact would have been raised during Harry’s confession / interrogation and Harry would then say “eh? I think we should separate 4th wall knowledge from character knowledge; we as viewers know that it was Ryan but Harry has no idea, he does believe that he killed Amy, he said he saw her moving before he left but as far as he knows those were just her last moments since he has no evidence to the contrary. Hopefully Tegan can share what she suspects about Ryan but anything else can happen between now and then.

I swear I am amazed at the stupidity of that police department. The coroner's office and autopsy report should show that Amy died from strangulation/suffocation. She had a head injury but it wasn't the cause of death. Harry's confession is he pushed Amy and she hit her head on the end of a table which knocked her out. Harry thought she was dead and he left the apartment. That statement explains the head injury but not the strangulation/suffocation which Harry knows nothing about. Given that confession, there is no way they can charge him with murder.

First off, I'm glad this Amy murder plot seems to wrapping up it's about time. I must say however Tegan's sudden and realization seemed a bit unrealistic maybe after she asked him if Amy knew Ryan tripped up and said something he shouldn't have like ("she just wouldn't shut up, I just wanted her to shut up") it would have been a bit more convincing (Just a thought) Second, Despite everything everyone did to protect him I'm glad Harry finally confessed (albeit for something he didn't do). Now once they put starry back together I Harry is not in Ste shadow like before. Also I need them to keep James and Harry in each other's orbit. Third, I love James but admittedly he needs trip face some consequences for his part in this whole thing. Also he needs a powerful storyline that will developed his character more.

But really I guess my main issue is with the storylines they give Starry. All the issues seem to be about Ste and Harry twisting himself into knots trying to deal with Ste's problems and he never really has a chance to develop as a character and has no identity other than Ste's partner. It's seriously unrealistic that anyone as young as Harry would stay with a guy like Ste no matter how much he loved them. That said I love Ste and Harry as individual characters and if and when they do get back together I hope they develop Harry's character better becuse he has so much potential.

Yes finally everything is clear. That bastard Ryan should go to jail. Smh he killed Amy because she found out he was gay. Taegan is smarter than the police she figured it out but now I feel she is in danger. If Ryan can kill Amy I don’t want to think that he can kill someone else. Ste’s children kinda piss me off sometimes. Lmao I don’t care if James is a bastard but I always liked his manipulative and cunning side. He seems to really care for Harry. First off, I'm glad this Amy murder plot seems to wrapping up it's about time. I must say however Tegan's sudden and realization seemed a bit unrealistic maybe after she asked him if Amy knew Ryan tripped up and said something he shouldn't have like ("she just wouldn't shut up, I just wanted her to shut up") it would have been a bit more convincing (Just a thought)
Second, Despite everything everyone did to protect him I'm glad Harry finally confessed (albeit for something he didn't do). Now once they put starry back together I Harry is not in Ste shadow like before. Also I need them to keep James and Harry in each other's orbit.
Third, I love James but admittedly he needs trip face some consequences for his part in this whole thing. Also he needs a powerful storyline that will developed his character more.
Chelsey Linden No not really. Honestly I don't believe Ste and Harry have any chemistry or at least not like Harry and James although I'm not shipping Jarry that hard either. But really I guess my main issue is with the storylines they give Starry. All the issues seem to be about Ste and Harry twisting himself into knots trying to deal with Ste's problems and he never really has a chance to develop as a character and has no identity other than Ste's partner. It's seriously unrealistic that anyone as young as Harry would stay with a guy like Ste no matter how much he loved them.
That said I love Ste and Harry as individual characters and if and when they do get back together I hope they develop Harry's character better becuse he has so much potential.
Umm... They're trying to turn Ryan into Robert Sugden(Emmerdale) with the dad back ground story, and the whole killing Amy thing so no one would find out about his affair with a man. copying much?

I thought Ryan choked her. She got up after Harry left. Got a phone message and figured Ryan was gay. He came home, she confronted him and I thought he choked her in a panic.
Dwight is correct. Ryan did come back, argue with Amy about his sexuality, and then kill her. This was revealed a month or two ago.
