    Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This TH-cam channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
    I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
    I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
    I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
    On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

      To break 90 u first need a consistent swing w good consistency in grip , setup, body rotation , and you MUST manage the course. I play for bogey on many of the difficult holes and layup to 120 out or leas w an iron instead of going w a wood for the green. Works well

    Right. I play low to mid 90's and sometimes very rarely, break 90. I watched this video last night and today I shot 82, my best round ever by 6 shots! I practiced nearly all the tips explained here and made massive difference.

  • @atxrich
    @atxrich 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    I recently broke 85 for the first time. Key for me was hitting less than driver on the tee box. This allowed me to take my 2nd shot from a better position near or on the fairway instead punching out from the trees or at worse taking a penalty for a lost ball, hazard, unplayable, etc. For anyone looking to break 90 or higher, the biggest key is course management. You can always expect to hit poor shots in a round, but you shouldn’t compound them with poor decisions during your round. Set your ego aside- hit high percentage shots with clubs you’re most comfortable with that keep you in play and put you in a great position for your next shot. Get good at lag putting and putts inside 4 feet. Stay positive and present in the moment and will get you see improvements to your score pretty quickly.

      If someone has an inconsistent swing and can’t shallow the downswing breaking 90 is not likely w out lots of luck. Regardless of course management but course management is important to ad to your round as well.

    Even though this is a video aimed at those trying to break 85 even for those that tend to score better than that it’s a good reminder. Even though I score under 80 I just randomly leave out these simple tips and strategies all the time. Love the vid Rick

    Thanks Rick, I just recently got my best score of 91. So I'll use this to try scrape off a few more shots.
