If you stop by the Mae Hong Son chamber of commerce, they will actually print you out an official certificate saying you did the loop. It was a nice little souvenir to have for my trip.
Wish I read your comment before I left in February lol, all I got in Mae Hong Son was a 10 baht sticker as a souvenir!
This is the stretch of the Loop I know best , having driven it countless times over the years (home in Pai, family in MHS).
We usually stop at the viewpoint (3:00) to visit Noi, one of the Lahu ladies who keeps a bag stall, and sample some freshly cooked sweet potato.
Giw Lom (4:00) is a great place to get photos - if you look back at the direction you have come from the road snakes nicely around the hillside.
When you said let's start the journey, it fulls of power.
Thanks so much for doing these. Well done.
Most welcome :) And thank you very much. I'm glad you like them
Very beautiful view at Doy Kiw Lom viewpoint.
Always great watching your blog Andy.
Thank you very much. So happy to hear, that people are enjoying the Vlogs :) Fuels my motivation to improve, and keep creating these videos :)
nice one andy,i,ll be in chiang mai in a few weeks,,,yippy !!
Thank you. Sounds good man, I'm sure you gonna like it :)
I am Thai. Actually I have never been there before , it beautiful .
May be you should go to Nan province is the great place .
Thank you for your video! It's really beautiful. Question for you... I've read many articles that one actually needs to have a license (in their own home country) for riding a motorcycle to be able to rent a scooter in Thailand. Did you actually have a license for riding a motorcycle. Or not? Did you just go ahead and rent the scooter regardless of having a license? Just curious about the whole process. Thanks!
Videos out of the ordinairy, i like it. I would like to do the same but with a destination in mind.
Also thats my kind of room for a night and my kind of price too and it would be perfect if finding cute compagny was possible in town.
Anyway, i will start by landing in Phuket airport. You said somewhere you have lived in Phuket for more than a year. Do you have the name of an hostal similar to that one in this video for Phuket so i could have the taxi or limo from Airport to drop me there. Anywhere in quiet and secured area. Phuket island ain' t that big and i have my own transportation. It would be important that the place agree to keep my extra luggages while i go away. I would get back to the place before departure. Thanks Mathieu I will look at your other videos because they show Thailand differently than most. All won' t suscited a real interest for all areas but i just need a few nice surprises !!
How long are you gonna stay in Phuket? I know a good cheap place in Chalong if you are interested
Nice but how can i know how long i would stay ? Its gone a be my first time in SE Asia. If i like Phuket and have no need to look elsewhere, i will stay between 4-6 weeks. If i don' t like it and get bored, i will simply move elsewhere toward Cambodia, stopping to what i would think would be worth it. When i went to Nicaragua, i stayed in Managua and went everyday to the far away beach. After a while , i got bored so i went to Leon and did same thing. Got bored there too so i did the quite big trip to Corn Islands. It was fun to get there but it was a deception. So i drove back to Managua and took the plane back home. Since a few years, there is no plane from Montreal to margarita island, Venezuela. So i landed in Cartagena, Colombia and drove in direction of Margarita, Venezuela. It was fun because super cheap and many various sceneries along the way b ut i didn' t make it because i got attack and robbed in Venezuela. Otherwise, i would have travelled the whole tour of the country. What will i do with Thailand, i don' t know. All i konw is i want something else than Latino countries. I like basic rooms with private bathroom, i like deserted beaches for perfect tan and i like girls for night fun. Once i have found a place that has everything i look for, i think i can stay there a good while and simply enjoyed. Have to be back home middle of May.
Please give me the address of that place and if you remember how far is it from Airport. I will write it down and it might be usefull. Thanks
It's about 1 hour from the airport. Check out her fb site facebook.com/Baan-Khun-Yui-112722988811366/
Thank you very much. I now have a sure place to go upon arrival.
