'Check Fuel Cap' Error Message - Easy Fix

I used two different products WD-40: a regular WD-40 to clean the gas cap, and then WD-40 Silicone to lubricate the seal again so it makes a good air-tight seal.

Unhooking negative battery cable left it off half an hour put it back on and "BINGO" !!!

Silicone lubricant was applied to rubber seal after cleaning it and so far no issues.

I hope the check engine light on my 2008 Volvo XC90 is only the gas cap. It seems to be running well.
