If you only had the money to spend on one beach shade what would you choose, shibumi, wekapo, big tuna? It would be nice if it was big enough to not feel cramped if laying down underneath and not have to use chairs. And be able to use on both the east and gulf coast Florida beaches. Any help is helpful. ❤
Christa, if you wanted room to stretch out under the shade, I would go with the Wekapo. It was my choice the week of the 4th of July when our entire family was here. It sets up quickly and has a lot of shade. If you don't need as much (only 2 to 3 people) then the Solbello is my go-to shade. Great question, thank you! -Tom
I own and love my 11 x 11 Wekapo canopy, had it for a year now and it’s the best beach purchase I’ve made , I’ll use that and my shibumi shade. Which do you like more the Wekapo or the big tuna, your video of the big tuna makes me second guess myself haha. I haven’t seen a big tuna in 15+ mph winds so I’m very curious how that does with just 2 poles and is the set up/ tear down any faster on the big tuna since there are no bags of sand to be filled and unloaded?
The Big Tuna is a beast, Kyle. Both get easier to set up after you do it a few times but I think the Wekapo is easier than the Big Tuna. Driving those 4 auger stakes for the Big Tuna is more work than filling up the Wekapo bags with sand. We've got our kids and their families coming next week for the 4th. I'm debating which one to use at the beach. If it's going to be a longer day, I'll probably go Big Tuna since it gives so much shade. Otherwise, the Wekapo cause it's just a little big easier to put up. It's good to have options!! -Tom
The Wekapo is easier to set up than the Big Tuna. Although they both deliver a lot of shade, the Big Tuna probably delivers more. But it's heavier to haul and a bit more work to set up than the Wekapo. There aren't any sand bag anchors with the Big Tuna, just the auger anchors. You've got a great shade with the Wekapo.
Awesome video! Have been watching yours to find the best overall beach shade. Would you recommend this one over the Neso Tents Grande? They almost seem identical with some differences.
I'm familiar with the Neso product but I haven't actually used one, Juan. I think they are so similar that I would go with the most cost effective choice. I think Neso has more of a marketing push behind it. I believe the reviews at how nice and convenient it is but I also think the WEKAPO is on par with it. Hope that helps a little. -Tom
@@evolutionaryTom Update! We went with the WEKAPO and absolutely love it! Took us less than 10 minutes to setup and it’s been holding up great. Thank you again Tom!
Hey Tom, it's been a while since you made a video. Any upcoming ride videos from beautiful Marco Island? You know I just love to watch them since i cannot be there in person. Looks like you're in a desert, not a beach.
It's that time, isn't it Pedro. Those videos don't get a lot of view but they are fun to make and I know you'll watch! I'll get one up soon. My schedule is about to open up and I'll stay in one place for a few months. The Marco beach is huge. I've been in a desert (Saudi/Kuwait) and that one wasn't as enjoyable. BTW, I was in Miami this morning dropping the wife off at the airport. It was a great traffic day there, easy in/out. -Tom

Great video. Excellent ground and drone footage. Succinct, clear, and “real-world” setup and use tips. Best review of this I have seen. Thank you!

@@evolutionaryTom You were able to escape the Banana Republic known as Miami. Congrats, on that accomplishment.
