I didn’t think I would like the black candle sticks over the gold when you first mentioned it but after you added them in I think the whole mantel tied into each other so nicely

Your mantle looks so nice! Those cosmos are my favorite, I just took mine out of the storage bin. I use less in my vases in Summer. I keep it very light and airy with only 3 or 4 in each vase. Yours looks so pretty. We call our big room our family room and the smaller one in the front of the house is our living room our den is downstairs in our finished basement. That's just how we distinguish the different rooms. We have fireplaces in all 3 here in the Northeast, lol. A big stone wood burning one in our living room, a gas one in the family room and an electric one in the den. I so enjoy them! Happy Spring my sweet friend, enjoy! Robin, absolutely your final arrangement of the couch pillow was IT! The symmetry is perfection, and the darling new blue floral pillow adds just the right touch to the other smaller seat! I voted with you for the black candlesticks because the light/dark contrast adds crispness and freshness. And the cherry on top that brought everything together and shouted! "SPRING!" (to me!) was the delightful bright floral throw in your blanket basket! Very fun video! Linda (new subbie from Houston!)

Love the real life trial and error Robin. I do like your new blue pillow on your chair & a 1/2 because you've got the blue candle on the table. I find pillows sometimes hard too - also because their purely decorative - at least inn my house - as soon as someone wants to it on a chair or couch the pillows get put on the floor - and that's a pain too........ its a rough life for pillows !!! bahahahaha. 🤣

Hey Friend, Happy Saturday. I like to call my family room my living room. 😊❤ I absolutely love thrifting and seeing what I can find. You can find some unique finds and beautiful items that are cheap.😀 I’m glad you went with the black candlesticks, they were my choice. 😃 I knew you could buy new pillow cases but I never looked for any before.

I'm with you on varying the height of items and trying to make sure there is balance on the ends! Your mantel looks great and I do love that layered look too! I've been trying to hold off on purchases as well, I have so much and it's such a beast to store everything! Hi Robin! Your mantel turned out oh so pretty. I am definitely team gold candlesticks. The black are really beautiful, but I think there might be too much black on that side - you have the picture, the candlesticks and the lanterns. Maybe add a little touch of black on the other side? Or put the lanterns on the other side? Worth a try!

I believe the mirror would look so much better if you would center the black mirror and then do the layer. It would not look so crowded. The black candle sticks and set the bird on the corner.

Love the mantle. Love the vase and the cosmos. I have not been able to find those at our Hobby Lobby. Also like the wash effect on the brick.

The mantle turned out nice. I like the gold candlestick since you have the gold mirror. Love the darling birds! I like the plaid pillows and the beige bird and flower pillow. The green velvet looks to heavy and dark for Summer. It gives off Winter vibe to me. Lol but like you I am not pillow savvy. I don't even understand the whole chopping of the pillows 😊
Overall your living room ( I grew up in the Midwest and that is what we called it) looks wonderful!

Robin, you did a beautiful job decorating today! I think the gold candlesticks worked great with the gold framed mirror. The black candlesticks were nice too, however you already had black in the mantle and larger mirror. I thought the gold candlesticks worked best.

Hey Robin! Everything looks great. I love the big round vase with the flowers. Girl, you would not believe all the baby birds I have. I have a nest of Carolina Wrens on my deck, Chickadees and Blue Birds in houses, and a nest of Cardinals in a bush. Whew, its a regular maternity ward! Have a great weekend.

Hi Robin! Love the layering of the mirrors and good choice going with the black candle sticks. I also have to switch out my pillow covers but haven't found ones I love. The covers I have found for Spring don't have a soft touch. The ones with a soft touch are also to warm. I'll try amazon and hopefully find something. Hey, Robin! I appreciated watching your mantle styling technique- I’m learning the art of layering so love all the tips! I think that any of the candlesticks work well- different looks but all looked good. The black metal corresponds well with the fireplace and lanterns below.

The mantle is beautiful! The black candle sticks look great but I also like the first wood ones. Just my opinion here, but I think the mantle is too elegant for your stick diffuser. It's pretty but not as pretty as your mantle setting. Also love the yellow blanket ❤
