The season was overall pretty solid. But one major problem I have is how Robby went out of his way to get Kenny back on the right track and even risked a fight, but after Kenny gets humiliated, Robby doesn't even try to check up on him to see if he is okay. Nor do the sensei's call off the match and reschedule due to the sudden emergency. It's not like Kenny is known for sudden and random bowel movements. Nobody even checked to see if he was sick or if anything had happened to him.
Kenny might go back to Cobrai Kai if Kreese backdoored him like he did Tory but I think Kreese killed Tory’s mom as well to get Tory back Kreese is a evil dirty old man
@@senonimoustv2497 Missing the point. While the truth cannot be negated, a human's perception of the truth is always subject to change, and often means different things and/or outcomes to different people.
Master Kim being the anti-Miyagi as described by the creators is really soldified in this season! A lot of Master Kim's best quotes are essentially darker meanings of many of Mr. Miyagi's lessons "Lesson for whole life", he said this when Young Kreese answered to only show no mercy on certain situations. "Always focus on prize! Never the lesson!", this feels like a paraphrased variation another one of Mr. Miyagi's unforgettable lessons: "If karate is used to defend honor, karate means something. If karate is used to defend plastic piece of trophy, karate means nothing" Another Easter egg is when Kreese was sent to the cave to prove himself is exactly how Master Yoda told Luke to confront his fears in the cave in Dagobah
@@Sagegabs tbh I felt Stingray returning to "Cobra Kai" felt off considering what he's gone through in season 5. Like Silver beat the crap out of him, lived in fear over what he's going to do and he wants to bring back Cobra Kai? Sure, I get that he wants Johnny to bring it back (so do I), but it's illogical for Stingray to want Cobra Kai back. Now, Stingray... isn't the smartest or the most mature person in the Karate Kid universe (besides Kyler), but even he's not that dense (he was smart enough to deduce that Silver is using him). Not complaining, just saying.
Devon’s cheating robbed miyagi do of their strongest line up, when she and Demetri get destroyed, they’ll regret their underhanded tactics to get a spot
Some of these "call-backs" made me laugh out loud. At one point i was expecting "character A is breathing in this scene, and that's definitely a call back to when character B was breathing in that other scene!"
@@markstriker925brotha, have you SEEN kreese!? Have you seen how dedicated that guy is to a martial arts that is one of the most simplest fighting forms, like i do karate and other martial arts and karate is my main style. But that "i always come back" Grandpa fr thinks it's war. Like at least for devon lee, she's taking it as a learning and award things which is something you should do when competing.
Miyagi was friendly with master Kim, but imo they fought in this tournament and Miyagi went too far injurying Master Kim. Maybe sometime during the fight Kim showed mercy and Miyagi took the upper hand. This made Miyagi go back to his roots for Karate only defence and made Kim more ruthless, with the strike first, strike hard and no mercy
Its worth noting that Robby parallels Mr. Miyagi now in that he put away a person in the hospital and went on the run. He also becomes captain like he did.
Agreed. I actually think this backs up the theory that robby is the real "karate kid" and real legacy for cobra kai. Johnny Lawrence's mid with cobra kai roots but doesn't know this yet, learns from larusso and miyagi do and then later on joins cobra kai being the first one to truly mix the two styles emotionally and physically. Hawk still never really found balance, Miguel should actually be months behind in training while he was recovering and he went to Mexico for a summer... he learned miyagi do way later than the rest of them. Cobra kais goal since the silver/kreese days was to win the tournament and go global. Robby will be that miyagi do and tory will for cobra kai showing the two styles can live together when kreese, silver and the Kim's gone and Johnny goes back to cobra kai
@@jovanym2931 I don't disagree, Miguel started off as the main protagonist and karate kid for cobra kai. But given what we've seen from the show and the themes, it's definitely changed.
My theory is that when Mr Miyagi competed at the Sekai Taikai he could have either brutally beaten an opponent or worse could have killed someone (which doesn't seem as likely because then why would they even still have the tournament is someone killed someone in it), this could maybe explain the blood stain on the headband and could be the whole reason why Mr Miyagi doesn't care about tournament because of what happened during his experience in the Sekai Taikai.
I was thinking the same thing But I don't think he killed anyone. I think he probably just hurt his opponent pretty bad and I have theory that his opponent was kreese & silver's Sensei master kim which explains why he's walking with a cane.
I was thinking exactly the same thing that Miyagi fought Master Kim in the Sekai Taikai and was brutal to the point that he nearly killed him. Due to this is where Miyagi decided to do the defence only teaching because the Miyagi offense will kill which may explain the scrolls regarding killing techniques of Migayi-do that was kept hidden. Remember Chozen has mentioned this a few times and I think Chozen knows a lot more about Miyagi's past than he is letting on but he is hell bent on honouring the Miyagi legacy even keeping the dark secrets too. I bet you it will be Chozen who will eventually reveal this to Daniel which is why he will be back
I hope this turns out to be the case and it’s not the lost brother that fought in the tournament. It will give more credence as to how Miyagi could so easily defeat Kreese and Silver. Plus if they want to do a prequel on his life they need more material to work with. Portraying him as someone that was once the best in the world will be a good start. They’ve still got to connect Mr Han somehow as well for the movie. Will that be done in CK or in the movie?
With the Sekkai Tekai being televised worldwide, I can see it attracting the attention of Julie Pierce and Hector. Maybe Hector looks through Miguel's backpack, finds his address, and decides to pay a visit, but Miguel's family doesn't live there anymore thanks to the pipes above bursting. Barcelona is also an interesting choice. That's where Taekwondo first appeared as an Olympic sport in 1992. I think Grandmaster Kim also participated in the Tekkai Sekai and that's why he told Kreese no.
i believe that the final fight in a previous sekai taikai was mr miyagi vs kim and miyagi badly injured him but not before being injured himself, that explains the blood on miyagi’s headband and why kim said no
Just a theory but I think Robby is either going to get injured in the finals by kwon, and Miguel will have to take his place and win it, Or I think robby will go and try to convince tory to stop cobra kai, but kwon and his boys will jump robby, this will make johnny and daniel in a similar rage as December 19th.
I agree that he may get jumped but if he gets injured in the final by kwon I doubt the sekai taikai judges and referees would let them change captains but I might be wrong
@@nothing-g8hnah I think they can because Miguel probably will win all of his matches against all the fighters and destroy them and if Robby is injured and Miguel is not elimate he can take his place as captain cause remember Miguel was literary one point away from beating 3-0 but Tory shows and got Robby motivated and Miguel lost focus and was fighting with a bad mentality and this time if kwon injured Robby , miguel will focused and angry determined and he will beat and win the sekai taki
I think Miguel taking over last minute is something I'm guessing too. I'm thinking something is going to happen to Tory that he alone needs to do to save her and gives up trying come in first since she's more important. Thus, he trusts his step brother to win. Heck, I can see Miguel bringing him up to the winning stage and saying Miyagi-do and him could not have won without Robby.
@@josephblocker2724 I understand what your saying but Robby will be fighting in the CAPTAINS only competition which is kinda the main event so Miguel can’t fight in that which is why I believe that Robby will probably get injured outside the tournament,
There's also a Dimitri little detail. When they go party with Kyler and Demitri sees everyone cheering Hawk drinking he says "I'm seriously considering a new haircut". In episode 5 we see him with the new haircut.
1:59 "jump out of the shadows" also felt like a callback to when Kreese revealed himself to be alive in the dojo in KK3 and jumped out scaring Daniel "arrghh!"
I'm A Big Miguel Fan But I Have Say That Robby Needed That Win To Look Strong Going Into The Sekai Tekai. Miguel Is Already Been Established As The Strongest Teen Fighter In Cobra Kai, In Season 5 Miguel Was Literally Beating The Shit Out Of Everybody Without Taking Any Hits, Plus Robby Already Lost To Miguel 3 Times And To Hawk 1 Time. So Robby Winning Atleast Put Him Back On Same Level With Miguel, I'm Pretty Sure With Some Twists & Turns Miguel Will Be The Final Fighter Standing From Miyagi Do In The Tournament And Miguel Win The Sekai Tekai For Miyagi Do.
Eagle Fang getting demolished could also be a throwback to Daniel and Mr Miyagi returning to South Seas in Karate Kid 3 only to find it was being reconstructed and they have been kicked out. Johnny also mentions that Sid is still alive ("unfortunately").
I really enjoyed this 5 episodes, my only issue with this is that they're only 5 episodes. It took them moreless a year and a half to release 5 episodes and now we wait till november...
Johnny really got the short end of the stick as a sensei. Gave up eagle fang, becoming full miyagi do. daniel could've done is at least try to adapt and help with johnnys teaching instead of telling him how wrong it was. Chozen was not much help either. Could've eaisly been the one to cool each other down due to being a mix of both
I agree, and it's very weird because Daniel was supposed to have accepted the "cobra/eagle" philosophy when he trained with Johnny and when he understood Sam's style.
@@Sagegabs He did but it was Johnny's decision to go fully to Miyagi Do. Daniel did incorporate the Eagle in the patch and they are using both styles regularly throughout the episode.
@@TheIndulgerHmmm yeah kinda, I do agree that Daniel is a very unstable man. He crumbles very easily and immature enough to exclude Johnny for training the "kids".
The students that John crease has now are on a whole nother level, I don't even know how they could write it to make it look like they're gonna win.I guess heart
To everyone who believes that the writers disrespected Miyagi: in Harry Potter, why is the idea that Dumbledore was almost Grindelwald’s partner and might have killed his own sister not disrespecting Dumbledore? Because the Dumbledore we know and love is one who has reached the end of his life and has learned from all of his many mistakes. Miyagi is no less the mentor, karate genius and all-round epic badass from the Karate Kid movies. Now we simply have been told that Miyagi did something wrong in his middle age.
My theory: Stuff in the box belonged to Myiagi`s unknown brother. He is Mr Han, and this is the connection with Jackie Chan and the new karate kid film. Also the reason Daniel goes to China to meet him. Mr Han stole the neckleace and did the attack, thats why he fleet to China to hide, and thats probably the reason Myiagi never mentioned him to Daniel. He was ashamed of him, and he would also be a bad example for the young kid. Han also might be the one take part to the tournament and got hurt, that could explain the issue with the leg. Myiagi would never compete in a tournament and most important he would never lie. Also Kim Sun Young`s connection and rivalry might be with Sato and not Myiagi.
Nice video bro. Another thing you couldve mentioned was during the fight between Robby and Miguel, Robby attempts the same takedown Johnny did to Daniel and that Hawk did to him in the 51st All Valley tournament
Yep master Kim and Miyagi fought in SekaiTaikai for sure this is where it all started from Karate Kid and Cobra kai dojo we might get in future parts some flashbacks from the fight between Miyagi and Master Kim i cannot wait to see what kind of turn arounds are we gonna have in the next part there is definetly going to be unexpected stories but i just dont want to see Mr Miyagi getting trashed as in this part of the new season it makes no sense for producers to trash him like that in S6
Expect Julie Pierce (Hillary Swank's character from "The Next Karate Kid") to appear in Part 2 of Season 6 to explain the backstory behind Mr. Miyagi's mystery box. I was VERY disappointed how Chozen's character faded to black after episode 2. To me, Chozen was the breakout character of Season 5 and they left him to twist in the wind. I saw Tori's heel turn from a mile away. I think in the Sekai Tekai tournament, Robbie gets beat by the badass Kwon from Cobra Kai and Miguel will ultimately win the whole tournament. I think Kenny will come back after Devon Lee's cheating is revealed.
I noticed that the new cobra kai badasses only have 3 members in the tournament(unless they are revealing more?) which to me shows to me and K&K are extremely confident in their abilities or the qualifications for getting into the sekai team was more intense/brutal then miyago do's
@@HOWTOFIGHT-p8g Basically, Hawk doesn't want to or isn't sure about going to MIT because he wants to shuffle options, then Demetri felt bad about it and well, they were on bad terms mostly on Demetri's part.
Cobra Kai will return as Karate Valley: the college years and the adults will take a back seat in the series but will be integrated into the stories of kids becoming grown adults
Daniel was once a Cobra Kai in The Karate Kid III, so it was time for Johny to be a student of Miyagi's teaching once too (no way to figure this out without watching and re-watching the 1980's movies first). We know what happened back then...so it is true that once a Cobra Cai, always a Cobra Kai...
Also in episode 3 (Sleeper) when Daniel is putting the pads on the guy he and Chozen were chasing is a nod to Mr Miyagi putting the pads on Daniel in the karate kid shortly before Daniel fights Bobby in the semifinal match.
I look forward to more badass moves, see what is Kwons past, and I doubt we’ll see them fight in part two since it’s too early for them to fight in the tournament
@@Sagegabs if that’s the case then things will be interesting since we won’t know who will win the tournament but most importantly it’ll be a good arc for the boys
Cobra Kai is Kreese's legacy. Miyagi-Do is Mr. Miyagi's legacy. Johnny and Daniel are a part of both legacies. Daniel can't stand Cobra Kai and Johnny is getting annoyed with hearing about Miyagi-Do. Since they have combined styles I think getting rid of both names and starting their own legacy would end the rivalry between them as far as martial arts is concerned. Mr. Miyagi fought off Johnny and his goons. John Kreese and Terry Silver terrorized Daniel with Cobra Kai. The way they have combined the two with a few added additions of their own it's not necessarily Miyagi-Do or Cobra Kai anymore. Just a thought. Ali said it best. Johnny and Daniel are more alike than they wanted to admit.
I think Daniel will change his strategy after seeing one of his students get severely injured or near death and agree with Johnny on the No Mercy bandwagon just for the tournament
Honestly, I'm a bit concerned with how the rest of the season will progress, because there were a LOT of strange moments and character developments so far. Hopefully they tighten the script and explain some things better as the season progresses!
I wonder if he fought with Master Kim in the Sekai Taikai. I know that seems farfetched, but Daniel has to find out about his past and what happened with him in the tournament. If it isn't written in one of those scrolls, then there has to be someone who was alive at the time. Master kim is the oldest person introduced in the show who could know, but then again, how would Daniel find out from him.
I feel like if they play into the miyagi vs Kim thing. It’ll be that Kim destroyed miyagi resulting in him winning the tournament. I just can’t see it going any other way
Season 6 part 1: my favorite character is Tory Nichols. My least favorite character is Demetri. My favorite villain is John Kreese. My favorite relationship is Daniel and Johnny. My favorite fight scene was the college fight. My favorite scene is when Tory rejoins Cobra Kai. This is my list.
@@Yea97714Honestly, same. I don't know why Tory would rejoin the dojo after everything they put her through. It makes even less sense that Sensei Kim would allow Tory to rejoin the first place cause she absolutely hated her in season 5 and it makes no sense why she would let her rejoin. Sure, Kreese would've probably convinced her otherwise but I doubt Kim would even let Kreese have his say due to her own bigoted hatred against Tory.
@@dragonfire4527 besides Kreese and Tory should’nt have money or passports to travel to Spain But this show is pretty far past 100% realistic at this point lol
@@Yea97714 agreed. It kinda went off the rails after season 3 in terms of writing quality and in general; don't get me wrong it's still good. Granted while s4-5 remained somewhat grounded, season 6 kinda takes it to unfathomable degrees. I suppose it's not entirely the writers fault cause as you've probably already seen; season 6's limited episodes caused the writers to rush things and haphazardly pacing made it difficult to truly make a cohesive and integral storyline that would've worked but unfortunately didn't. Had season 6 had 15 episodes (as they originally marked it as) maybe season 6 would've made more sense and may even regain the logic the previous seasons (1-3) had. But that's just my opinion.
I really like what the writers did to try to fix the inconsistencies about Mr.Miyagi's name/age. I know we still have a lot to learn about his past, but there's one thing that annoys me a bit… When they find Mr.Miyagi's passeport, it says he was born in 1918. Then Daniel says "he wasn’t born in 1918, he was born in 1924". However, his tombstone (which Daniel visited many times) reads that he was born June 9th 1925. I don’t know if the writers made an error there, but it's a bit weird that Daniel would point out that 1918 is the wrong year, to then make a mistake about it himself… How could that be explained?
Mr Miyagi box thing. Show does this all the time. Heck in this season alone (coyote creek, kreese, psych, stingray and fat guy going to computer MIT, psych, washing machine MIT.)etc etc. Biggest hint is blood on headband. How you get blood on headband you ask? Getting your skull karate kicked or chopped. They mentioned previous deaths have occurred in tourney., so poor headband wearer is dead dead dead. Mr miyagi lived to be an old dude. My guess, possibly a brother or cousin. Its a story writing way to weave a younger Mr miyagi in. Dainiel will somehow find out one of the dudes that died in tourney was named Miyagi. Then flashback to Miyagi watching the fight and death. Explains a little Miyagi always hesitant about training Daneil for a tourney. Miyagi defense only.
Honestly I was a bit shocked and slightly disappointed and saddened that Tory rejoined Cobra Kai. I mean based on what happens at the end of part 1, I can understand why she did rejoin, but she was on the right track, she made amends with Sam and she finally felt at peace and had a home, family and friends with Miyagi-Do. Honestly I hope by the end of the series, Tory comes back to her senses and rejoins Miyagi-Do and is done with Cobra Kai for good. I definitely want to see her and Sam become friends again. P.s. Peyton List’s acting was on point in part one (especially her outburst at the hospital and Miyagi-Do dojo) and I’m looking forward to seeing her excellent acting in parts 2 & 3.
Crap, you're right. Cobra Kai was short two members. That doesn't mean it'll be Kenny & Shawn though. Shawn can fight, but that doesn't mean he knows karate. If anything, Devon will admit she cheated & drop out meaning that Kenny will have to join.
Man, Tori came in like Darth Vader at the end!😂😂 but I was hoping Kenny was with her because he very well be their 3rd best fighter after Miguel and Robby after he kinda handled Hawk even though he was much smaller than Hawk. They also did his character dirty lol
It's all leading in part 2 to Julie. The boxers grandfather is also Julie's grandfather so they are cousins! Miyagi is innocent but took the heat or got framed. In kk4 he was using the name in the passport 😊 the guy who wrote the article is also the immigration officer in the passport 😅 why??? The headband belongs to Julie's grandfather and it's his blood like in bloodsport Miyagi just kept it as a memory
Great video! But there is just one error: Shawn was last seen not in the episode "Miyagi-Do". He was last seen in the episode "First Learn Stand", telling Kenny about someone who can help him.
One thing i'd like to know, how did Kreese leave the US as a wanted fugitive, he shows up in South Korea and again in Barcelona, and why arent Daniel and Johnny acting like nothing is wrong when they see him turn up at the Teikei Seikei
I think I know where they are going with this… Daniel feels like he is still Miyagi’s pupil, so maybe he finds out Miyagi trained under Kim, and he learned anger which made him commit a crime. He repented and entered the tournament to free his guilt with his Miyagi Do Karate. This can trigger Daniel to open his eyes and notice that he has achieved the maturity and experiences Miyagi had and become a true master with his own philosophy
I think Mr Miyagi killed someone at the Sekai Taikai. That is why he doesn't really care for tournaments. The necklace he stole probably belonged to the person he killed and he was getting it back as a sort of redemption.
In S2 episode 5 ‘All In’, during the conversation in the mall, Robby’s drivers license shows a picture of him having a man bun. I’m surprised no one is talking about how he has a kinda similar one in the ending of the fifth episode of S6. It’s a small and irrelevant detail, but it’s still clever for the writers to put that in.
when season six is properly over I do hope Johnny takes cobra Kai back obviously I like Eagle fang so I hope he gets that back to. He merges the two dojo together.
I think Tory is gonna almost kill Sam. I think Miyagi almost died in the tournament being he had blood on his headband. Tory has lots of anger in her to do it. Who knows
This part was good but disappointing in some parts regressing characters especially Daniel and useless plot lines starting unnecessary drama I’m excited for part 2 tho but part 3 is complete mystery kwon is menace and probably has one of the most brutal fight scene since silver and stingray

There got t9 be more to the story. I find it hard to believe Miyagi would beat someone up and rob him.Maybe the necklace belong to him and he got it back.
A few more details: Kenny demonstrating his skill with a baseball bat could be a nod to the fact that Dallas Dupree Young's (Kenny's actor) dad was a pro baseball player, perhaps the apple not falling far from the tree. Shawn trying to punch Robby and getting his hand stuck in the fence, could be a call back to Kreese to trying punch Mr Miyagi, but instead hitting a car window, as both agressors are left vulnerable after their attenpted attack. Devon spiking Kenny's water with laxatives to sabotage his chances of getting into the Sakai Tikai could be interepted many ways: 1. It's a reference to Kenny to poking a hole in Hawk's float, during his race down the slide with Tory, to stop him from winning, similarly to his fight with Hawk, both instances of him cheating leading to karma. 2. Because at first, we assume Anthony spiked Kenny's water, leading to him crapping his pants, could be a form of karma for Kenny, Kyler and other cobra kais giving Anthony a swirly in a toilet that still had poop in it. 3. Devon's actions could also be part of a running theme in the franchise, which is a girl having some cause to heated rivalries between two boys: Yukie, with Mr Miyagi and Sato, Ali with Daniel and Johnny and Sam with Miguel and Robby. Although this time, it wasn't caused by both boys having feelings for said girl
My guess is that Master Kim, Mr. Miyagi, Sato, and Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), and Master Li (KK 2010 Dragon's master) fought in the Sekai Taikai as a team, all of them are complete fighters capable of both offense and defense but with different principles, hence might have caused the fallout of the team and them formulating their own styles and teachings. The theory is that Cobra Kai is the title, and makes it the overarching element in this show, I guess the final reveal is that they all came from the same roots, and that somehow throughout the show, there'll be a technique or principle that actually encompasses them all but was never realized. Just my fun take on the senseis' history that were yet to see. Connecting the dots between the hidden Miyagi box, Chinese pendant, and a new Karate Kid movie starring Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan next year. The cliffhanger we're left with is Tory joining Cobra Kai for the Sekai Taikai is just a start. The ending only showed 4 fighters which means 2 more fighters will be revealed which is Kenny being one of them and Dre Parker (Jaden Smith).
I think Johnny and Daniel getting into yet another conflict is annoying. They seem to break up more often than Ross and Rachel! I really didn't get why they did what they did with Devon and Kenny. It makes sense to have 3 girls, 3 boys on a team of 6, considering they compete based on gender. Not to mention now we have Kenny think Anthony sabatoged him, which just sucks considering Anthony actually did nothing wrong. It would have made more sense if that whole situation got resolved, and then once Tory left, Devon took her spot anyway and spent the next part of the season trying to redeem herself. Or they could have just had written the story to have 8 fighters, so we get Kenny and someone else anyway (maybe Anthony). I do like the idea though that once it was revealed Johnny was going to have a daughter, maybe that got him closer to Devon, seeing her as his surrogate daughter (like he initially saw Miguel as his surrogate son). Also, I'm glad the Miguel-Robbie beef is over and done with. Yeah they had the argument when it was established they had to compete to be the team leader, but I'm glad after the fight, there was no bad blood. I liked reintroducing Barnes, though I wish they could have had him be the Sakai Takai veteran. Like maybe there was an unseen story where he fought in it, and lost or was traumatized which led him to giving up Karate (until Daniel ending up showing up). I didn't like how Chozen quietly left through. I hope he meets the team in Barcelona. I was actually shocked that we'd get to the tournament this quickly. I figured that would be part three. But I guess part three would be the aftermath of the tournament.
And where's Lucille (Daniels mom)?! I have a feeling the new movie is set in NJ from what I know so i think she'll be sick or dying and thats why he goes to NJ
There was a lot more music references. The music when miguel and hawk fought at coyote creek was there when hawk and demetri fought, the music when robby and shawn first fought was there when robby and miguel fight shawn, when miguel and robby fight the music of when they first fought at the s1 all valley plays, etc
I think miyagi had something serious happen at the Sekkai Tekai. probably a final fight between miyagi and master Kim. Maybe miyagi had the same teachings as master kim and showed mercy at the finale and changed his ways
It is one of my beliefs that Kreese had a hand in the death of Torys mom. Given the way he approached her earlier in the episode and then next her mom is dead. It would make sense being that he wanted her on the Cobra Kai team. He also knew of her mother’s health issues and that it would be enough to push Tory over the edge. So I truly believe that he was partially or fully responsible for her mother’s death.
The difference between kreese and miyagi is they both have tragic pasts and we still don’t know the full story regarding myagis past but kreese resorted to his anger to handle his grief while myagi resorted to isolation and alcohol as well. As he said best defense is no be there. I believe that Daniel and Johnny have good things to teach their students but myagi had a much better way and teaching style and deserves the name of the dojo and respect of its students.
But... What if there's actually two.. I don't remember if it's every year.. and with part 1 ending showing they are at the tournament does that mean part 2 is flashbacks at least part of it and part 3 is also flashbacks and the end of the tournament or cobra Kai wins in part 2 but miyagi do wins the second tournament in part ?!?
I feel like the scrolls in the Hidden box are hidden secret techniques that will be somewhat used to defeat cobra kai and kwon after kwon kicking their asses.

A lot of Master Kim's best quotes are essentially darker meanings of many of Mr. Miyagi's lessons
"Lesson for whole life", he said this when Young Kreese answered to only show no mercy on certain situations.
"Always focus on prize! Never the lesson!", this feels like a paraphrased variation another one of Mr. Miyagi's unforgettable lessons: "If karate is used to defend honor, karate means something. If karate is used to defend plastic piece of trophy, karate means nothing"
Another Easter egg is when Kreese was sent to the cave to prove himself is exactly how Master Yoda told Luke to confront his fears in the cave in Dagobah
Wow I didn't realize that
Good catch 👍
Makes sense that the ultimate villain of this series would be a dark Miyagi
The writers are geniuses for putting small details like this bringing back nostalgia from the Karate Kid movies
Also Stingray saying "Class, we have a new visitor..."
They def are handing out dump trucks full of memberberries

This is what I was thinking too
Ohohoho
Good theory
But if you remember in KK-3, when Silver refers to Master Kim, there's no reaction from Mr Miyagi so he basically has no idea who he is
I thought it could be Miagyi's brother since the name and age were off. In Karate Kid Mr. Miagyi said he never fought in tournament.
@@cheetah219it’s Miguel but okay
@@jovanym2931 I don't disagree, Miguel started off as the main protagonist and karate kid for cobra kai. But given what we've seen from the show and the themes, it's definitely changed.
8:55 This reminds me of the moment when Kreese tries to recruit Silver to come back to Cobra Kai in Season 4, and Silver responded "No".
I was thinking the same thing
But I don't think he killed anyone. I think he probably just hurt his opponent pretty bad and I have theory that his opponent was kreese & silver's Sensei master kim which explains why he's walking with a cane.
@@petedog1017That’s what I think as well. It got so bad that Miyagi had to fight in a more brutal style, due to how brutal/lethal his opponent was.
Will we learn the second rule of miyagi do
With the Sekkai Tekai being televised worldwide, I can see it attracting the attention of Julie Pierce and Hector.
Uuuuuf I had forgot about Hector, it'll be intresting to see a match between "El Pantera" vs Johnny 😂
Miguel left his backpack in Mexico? Damn that arc was so short.
My feeling is Julie will explain to Daniel about Mr miyagis past because my understanding is his "real" first name was in the next karate kid
i believe that the final fight in a previous sekai taikai was mr miyagi vs kim and miyagi badly injured him but not before being injured himself, that explains the blood on miyagi’s headband and why kim said no
Just a theory but I think Robby is either going to get injured in the finals by kwon, and Miguel will have to take his place and win it, Or I think robby will go and try to convince tory to stop cobra kai, but kwon and his boys will jump robby, this will make johnny and daniel in a similar rage as December 19th.
@@josephblocker2724 I understand what your saying but Robby will be fighting in the CAPTAINS only competition which is kinda the main event so Miguel can’t fight in that which is why I believe that Robby will probably get injured outside the tournament,
@@adamskawesker5102 I didn’t even think about that but it does make a lot of sense.
Master Kim saying "no" is what Silver said to Kreese when he asked for him to return
I would have preferred Master Kim and Kreese to fight to the death for control of Kim’s dojo.
Kwon: no head no fight

Master kim got whooped by miyagi
To everyone who believes that the writers disrespected Miyagi:
in Harry Potter, why is the idea that Dumbledore was almost Grindelwald’s partner and might have killed his own sister not disrespecting Dumbledore? Because the Dumbledore we know and love is one who has reached the end of his life and has learned from all of his many mistakes. Miyagi is no less the mentor, karate genius and all-round epic badass from the Karate Kid movies. Now we simply have been told that Miyagi did something wrong in his middle age.
Very true it's kinda like what Johnny said to Daniel in the show we should not treat Miyagi like he's some perfect angel or literal deity figure.
Mr.Miyagi prolly fought master Kim in the sekai tekai
My theory:
Stuff in the box belonged to Myiagi`s unknown brother.
My thoughts are the same
When are y'all gonna get that Julie isn't part of the original franchise? No way will she make an appearance.
I noticed that the new cobra kai badasses only have 3 members in the tournament(unless they are revealing more?) which to me shows to me and K&K are extremely confident in their abilities or the qualifications for getting into the sekai team was more intense/brutal then miyago do's

Like usual, Daniel doesn't dig deeply enough. There were several rolled up letters that Chozen could have read.
I think Daniel will change his strategy after seeing one of his students get severely injured or near death and agree with Johnny on the No Mercy bandwagon just for the tournament
I think the Miyagi past storyline is whats going to lead into the story of the Karate Kid movie next year with Jackie Chan.
Honestly, I'm a bit concerned with how the rest of the season will progress, because there were a LOT of strange moments and character developments so far. Hopefully they tighten the script and explain some things better as the season progresses!
Kyler tipped the drink over the guys head like he poured the Pepto on Miguel in the very first episode

Good video I think the boxing thing has something to do with Johnny’s dad
P.s. Peyton List’s acting was on point in part one (especially her outburst at the hospital and Miyagi-Do dojo) and I’m looking forward to seeing her excellent acting in parts 2 & 3.
kenny and shawn payne would be the last 2 members for cobra kai. I just have a feeling..
I'm wondering if Miyagi fought Master Kim in the Sekai Taikai way back in the 40's or 50's?
Great video!
But there is just one error:
Shawn was last seen not in the episode "Miyagi-Do".
He was last seen in the episode "First Learn Stand", telling Kenny about someone who can help him.
Johnny: breathes
This is actually a reference to the first karate kid where Johnny breathed also
Yes Miyagi did participate in the Sekai Takai Tournament with a price.
I'm pretty sure REO Speedwagon was a callback to Daniel and Johnny discussing the band in earlier seasons...
There’s is two open spots for cobra Kai and what if that is Shawn and Kenny??
I just wanna see Chozen kick some ass, I don't care who, what, where, why or how.
Wait didn’t Mr. Myagi say in Karate Kid One that people have died in tournaments maybe he was referring to the Seki Taki?

A few more details:
Kenny demonstrating his skill with a baseball bat could be a nod to the fact that Dallas Dupree Young's (Kenny's actor) dad was a pro baseball player, perhaps the apple not falling far from the tree.
Shawn trying to punch Robby and getting his hand stuck in the fence, could be a call back to Kreese to trying punch Mr Miyagi, but instead hitting a car window, as both agressors are left vulnerable after their attenpted attack.
Devon spiking Kenny's water with laxatives to sabotage his chances of getting into the Sakai Tikai could be interepted many ways:

Good video
Cobra Kai only had 4 fighters once Tory joined who are the other 2 fighters?
Stryfe Shawn last appeared in season 4 not season 3
The difference between kreese and miyagi is they both have tragic pasts and we still don’t know the full story regarding myagis past but kreese resorted to his anger to handle his grief while myagi resorted to isolation and alcohol as well. As he said best defense is no be there. I believe that Daniel and Johnny have good things to teach their students but myagi had a much better way and teaching style and deserves the name of the dojo and respect of its students.
this show gives me the vibe that cobra kai will win the tourney but the people will side with miyagi-do and give them the fame
My theory;
Miguel n Johnny both leave Miyagi Doh and for different reasons;
1) Johnny to retake Cobra Kai n boost his ìncome
2) Miguel leaves to win n boost his academic reputation for college acceptance plus he could rehookup with Tory.
Plus...the show is called 'Cobra Kai'...🤷♂️My theory;

I have a feeling Johnny with be the main overall protagonist in the entire series since he’ll incorporate all forms of
It’s interesting that the big competition the Sekai Teikai can be seen like the Kumite from Bloodsport
people die in the Kumite though. Big difference.
While I loved season 6 i wish Johnny and Daniel had chosen a new name for their dojo by the first episode but no they couldn't agree on something and why did tory go back to cobra kai since sensei kim and her didn't get along the first time tory even told kreese that when she confronted him that she wouldn't join them again
I think Miagi is the original Cobra Kai
