Great to see fish on the ice again. One request I would like to make. When you guys do the spot on the spot or show the contour map to show how you are fishing certain conditions, that is extremely educational for me, and I would imagine to many others. If you can give us as much of that detail as possible, it would be a big help. Electronics are a fantastic tool, but learning how they relate to fish can be challenging.
Moved to kentucky last year, still have all my ice gear *northern Illinois native* because the only thing I miss is icing a nice walleye or crappie in Wisconsin or Minnesota. Every time I watch these I question my decision to move south. Ice fishing die hard.
Great show James and Konnor I'm still waiting for safe ice here in northern Wisconsin. this 50 and 60 degree weather we just had didn't help. Thanks for sharing stay safe and tight lines.
Looks like you guys dropped Tuned Up Custom Rods and went to 13 Fishing. I love 13 Fishing open water gear, but their ice reels and rods are on the low quality side. Could see the struggle you guys were having in the video not having those titanium recoil guides. The grass is not always greener on the other side even if they are willing to pay you more.
It’s just a sponsor thing. Rapala/VMC/StrikeMaster which are huge sponsors of IDO purchased 49% of 13 Fishing. So they maybe didn’t have a choice. IMO the tickle sticks and snitch pro are not the best hard water rods regardless. I don’t know why they aren’t using the widow maker or archangel rods. Much better choices IMO
@@jeremywhitcomb237 Because they are overprized and showing off cheaper models will boost 13f sales :D Bet they're fishing TUCR when the cameras are off... I would
I’m excited for ice fishing it will be my second year going ice fishing and I’m very excited finally got myself first Sandy just wish we would get out we still have open the water in our lakes and ponds here in Northern Illinois
Awesome show In Depth Outdoors team! I'm excited to get out there on the ice soon where I live and hopefully get on a great perch bite and maybe some kokanne too. I Can't wait for your next show!
Lol this isn't Scott's spot or anyone's spot. It's an early ice community hole. Drive by on the weekend and you'll see 5+ trucks with north dakota plates at the access point. One of the closest quality panfish spots to the FM area. I'm impressed that the lake still puts out quality fish because I've seen buckets of nice sunnies come out of there for years now.
Rarely see people actively fishing here in the summer, at least that's how it feels when we are out on the pontoon....A few folks but they are usually after a different species.
Why wasn't there a "spot on the spot ID" segment in this episode? In the last episode you said that was a main reason for the upgrade to your new studio.
It's all about the money. Whoever is willing to pay more for the sponsorship that's who they are going to pick. I have nothing against Humminbird and Eskimo because they make great products, but to drop Tuned Up Custom Rods and go 13 Fishing is such a downgrade for ice fishing. They make great open water gear, but for ice fishing they are low end and overrated.
So happy the boys are back on the ice . Best time of the year!!! Let’s go !!!

Good suggestion, we will keep that in mind.
Excited to see more videos for this season.

Always looking forward to watching your indepth outdoors on a Sunday
It was nice meeting you james! Thanks for the tips on the crappies!

Wooo! My weekly fix of ice fishing is here!
Feel you on that one. I live in pa. And we're not close to having ice anywhere here yet. But the crappie and panfish bite has been phenomenal!!

Really?? I’ve always felt the opposite. I like their ice gear and hate their open water rods and definitely the reels.

I cant wait for ice in my area on Lake Champlain, Québec, Canada
Crappie and Bluegill fishing is coming very soon 🎣🎣🎣🎣
Great show guys! Still waiting for safe ice here in central Michigan. Take care!
James pretty much was spot on with live imaging you still gotta make them bite.
Nothing like 1sr ice. The fish are snapping & the weather is bearable. Great video.
Thanks 👍

Good luck and thanks for watching!
no Pat Mcsherry? damn
Back at it!!
Awesome show
Best Show.........
Powerbait crappie niblets are pretty consistent in helping to entice bites.
I agree… not sure why everyone is talking about how much ice there is on some other channels… maybe if you want to go fish Red Aka Dead Lake.
Nice !
Can't go wrong fishing ottertail County
Nice
What lake in otter tail county were you guys on?
Also curious, how thick was the ice?
What do you guys put over your mega life transducer when you haul it onto the ice to protect it
We make sure it is on top and usually covered with a coat or something
Are you guys ever gonna do another Pool 2 vid?
Has to be good to be back on ice!
PS: what happened to flasher cams?
We will have some Humminbird 'Birdseye View' content
Pretty neat
Just jig above the pack and don't spook them by hooking them low in the bunch they will come up for the bait.
Scott Mackner's spot. TUCR connection. Nice
They dropped TUCR. They are 13 Fishing now which is disappointing.
What happened to Joel olsteen?

Thanksgiving last week meant we needed to have our episode complete earlier than usual and ran out of time to create that segment
Everyone that lives around here knows that spot already.
😆 🤣
what lake??
My kid was lucky enough to pull up 1of the few walleyes....shocked the hell out of me.
@@danapausch3201 lake name?
What happened to you guys. Why did you drop every good local sponsor you had? And why are you not doing as many episodes now?

Won't be able to fish there anymore after you put out the word. And that's how you get your spot fished out.
Definitely not ottertail county
This has been a well known community spot for years...
That doesn’t look like an ottertail county lake….
Pretty sure is pelican rapids and not otter tail county😂😂😂
