Thanks so much. I was planning on scrapping my high mileage Altima in a few months - then the alternator died. I didn't want to spend much on a car that only had a few months left but I needed to keep the car going. I found your video which made the job look pretty easy, so I bought a $50 alternator from an auto wrecker and went to work. I already had all of the tools that you described but I bought a longer 14mm wrench for the tension pulley just in case. The replacement went exactly as you described. Thanks for mentioning all of the bolt sizes - that was very useful. I would also like to commend you on the excellent lighting in your video. The Altima has gone to the scrap yard now but I will always be grateful to you for your excellent video.
Thank you for this video. You have some serious skills and you should be proud of yourself. I did not notice if you disconnected the battery cable first but I would recommend disconnecting the battery before messing with the alternator at all. Otherwise this is a fantastic video.

Yes I did take the battery out and I got it tested but totally forgot to put that part in, good note. Appreciate the support!
Thanks lil buddy 👍🏿

Nice video. You should get a serpentine belt tool, so in the future you don't have to take off tire.
That top bracket was all bent on me and I stripped top bolt out. Always something working on cars.
How did you hammer the extractor tool on the bolt on the bottom ?
E for effort 👌 one is ground( -) wire the other is power (+)
