Just found this channel..there are so many videos that tend to take 20mins to start then 2 mins of info.. this is quite useful and thank you for taking the time.
It's because the sentence is "3 sets of 5 reps" 3x5. Now that we have the general projected info, we now just need to log the weight per reps in each set. Say 45 pounds for 5 reps, so 45×5 weight×reps. The aditional ×sets just avoids repetition, but is not essential
Nice info, thanks for the content. I find it hard to keep notebooks with the information of each training because it can get a hard to compare specific things through time. I'm starting to use an App called training tracker that let's me compare how I'm progressing through the mesocycles. I already bring the phone to the gym anyways.
What do you benefit from keeping that knowledge just in your brain? You only have so much room up there, so I would rather write things down and keep just the important stuff up there.
I used to log, but now i just train really hard and eat like a beast and remember the weight and up it as the time goes by. I count the reps of my heaviest movements and remember so i know if i am progressing or not.
Hmm… that’s interesting. I just double-checked the audio by listening to it on my phone, and I have my phone’s volume only halfway turned up, and I would not want to play it any louder than that. If, by chance, you are listening to this on your computer, then you might want to take a look at the TH-cam volume control (it’s in the bottom left of the TH-cam player). As this is a separate volume control from your computer’s volume control, if it is set low, that could explain it.
Exactly what I was looking for! Thank you for keeping it so simple 😊
Glad it was helpful, and you're welcome!
Good stuff. Keep bringing the good work Phil.
Thanks very much!

@@mattuboyle5891 You're very welcome - I'm glad you like the short format.
Why is the notation initially "sets x reps" reverse to be "weight x reps x sets", why not be consistent and make the initial notation "reps x sets" ?
yes this. Thought I was going crazy
Yup.. It should be sets into reps

If it allows you to keep track of your training, keep good notes, and be consistent with it, it’ll work!
Thanx a lot brother! This helps using the limited space of A6 notebook
You're welcome - I'm glad to hear it helped!
Nice strategy to monitor training
Indeed!
Could you please explain to me why it is benefitial to write down the warmup sets? What can i learn from them in the future?

It's hard to hear the audio, my volume is turned as high as it will go.
