  • The 2024 NFL Rookie RB Class was sorta weak at the top, but Jaylen Wright could be a guy who breaks out and becomes the guy if he is given the right opportunity. Going back in time, Wright was an underrated recruit who was at one point homeless. Now, after falling in the draft to the Miami Dolphins, Wright is ready to prove he belongs in the NFL. Today, I want to tell you the story of Jaylen Wright and why he could be a steal for Miami, enjoy!

I am a lifelong Tennessee Vol fan and J-Wright is the real deal. He has low milage and can do it all. I am so glad he went to the Dolphins. When he gets his chance, he is going to surprise anyone that doesn't already know who he is. Nice video bro!

A lot of people had him in their top 3 RBs and some had him number 1 on their boards. He slipped and Miami got a "no real value" trade to get him because the Eagles knew the Cowboys might take him.

Another Dolphins weapon. I hope Jalen can learn the playbook by September so we can see how well he does.

I love to know what motivates a player to succeed. Ricky Williams loved football but hated NFL locker rooms andthe hypocrisy of the league and its rules. Some guys just love to compete. Then you get a guy like Jaylen Wright who saw his parents split up over money issues. I take it Mom got some kind of assistance to provide shelter and basic needs but Dad kept trying to make it as an entrepreneur after leaving the poice force and ended up living in a one bedroom apartment with no furniture. Given a choice of where to go, Jaylen said "I'm going to stay with Dad." I swear, I tear up every time I think about it. And his words to Dad were, "Don't worry Dad, soon I'll be running in the NFL and none of us will have to worry about money anymore." The means to an end. Well that got him there. But then there's the issue he has with always being underrated and unappreciated as a football player. He's felt that way since his Pop Warner days, felt that way as a three star college recruit coming out of high school and feels that way today after being drafted in the fourth round behind four other RBs. He improved upon all of his weaknesses each year at Tennessee making ball security, pass protection and receiving skills all recognized strengths in his game. Quick? ☑️. Fast? ☑️ Explosive? ☑️ Determined? ☑️☑️. This kid is being driven by his heart and his love for his family and his will to provide for his family the way his dad set out to do and lift everyone back up as if they never stumbled or fell. Ohhh, I like this young man; everything about him. I like him a lot.

His TD numbers were low because of the shared carries. There were numerous carries in which he would get the team down inside the 10 and be pulled out. Watch the highlights of the Virginia game last year and you will see.

I find it funny that all these players couldn’t even afford a place to live but end up at a top notch college. I know there’s scholarships but this guy was apparently already working at fed ex so there wasn’t a scholarship. Just all seems fishy to me.
