Actually you can get more bangboo's currency from the premium battle pass if you buy it, even if it's limited amount, it's still a buy, so not totally F2P.

Bangboos should be 100%. Although HI3 has elfs and astralops being tied to premium currency, they only matter at the whale tier of abyss, which is Nirvana. Bangboos however, are looking to be an integral part of the gameplay for ZZZ.
I don't think the bangboos are so important. The effects they give are nice, but does not seem necessary

Glad to hear about the tv section reduction. I played CBT2 and cleared almost all of the content that I could but the tv section almost made me give up on the beta so many times, but since it was the first time I ever got accepted to do a beta test, I wanted to experience everything I could. I really like the combat, but it was such a pain to finally get there for 1 minute of fighting and then go back into tv land. If the tv sectioned stayed the way it was, I would not be playing upon release because it was not worth it for me, it felt like a puzzle game with some combat.
this bangboo system seems weird to me. if it's a grindable currency and you can't directly p2w the gacha, why not make it a direct exchange instead? tho if they change to 100% chance like you suggest it would basically be a direct exchange with the chance to get it for less, which i would be fine with i guess

I like it too honestly. I think giving people the option to skip the TV mode would be better than just taking it out completely. That way people who do enjoy it can still play it. Similar to how they have a skip button for the story.
Thanks for the overview! I remember what I heard from previous betas is that the TVs were a really integral part of the gameplay, so it sounds nice to hear that they've pulled that back and left them mostly in one and done content (story) as opposed to dailies or weeklies.

They basically removed switching cooldown like to 0
What this results in is that
For example when you use nicole E skill she will charge her "case gun" and create a black hole
But when you switch on her 1st frame of her E to the mid part she will stay om the field and execute the E to the end
And you can continue fighting with other character
This somehow creates a VERY fast paced combo system which i never played before in other team based hack and slash game

If I just want action I can play PGR, HI3rd, and quite a few other titles. The roguelite TV puzzle was what I was looking forward to (kind of reminds me of Binding of Issac).

i don't get why content creators say you can't "buy" the currency for the bangboo banner when you literally can.

I feel like the one thing holding me back from playing this game is the lack of healers
there is easy mode so its ok
If they add healers in the game will broke completely the balance of the game, the game is balance around parries and dodges, if you want to smash the keyboard without worrying about receiving damage than the game is not for you.
Hoyos biggest mistake is the tv system. True fighting game enjoyers still not havin it
They made literally several times less tv's. Which, for the most part, remained only in the main story. And then - the further into the plot, the less tv's.
In any case, they needed to do at least something that would distinguish this game from hi3/pgr/aether gazer.
If it happens, but it will be on a small scale - I think it's much better than the past 80/20 tv's/battles.
Pretty sure even the non fighting game enjoyers don't enjoy it

while I enjoyed genshin and I enjoy hsr, I rlly love ZZZ's aesthetic and gameplay, it's rlly different from their previous 3 games that while having different game mechanics, have similar aesthetics

Im not here to play and sit to do TV puzzles.. the game's advertised as Rogue-like, IT IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE MORE COMBAT than friggin TVs..

I really hate the 300 summons thing for a 5 star selector. Don't get me wrong, getting a 5 star selector at all is great, the concept is amazing. But why the heck is it 300 summons. If it's gonna be like hsr, that means around a year as full F2P, if not more. Why. What the hell is the point of that. In my eyes that is a year too late to the party (literally). The only purpose of such a system in the first place is to help NEW players right ? Not so new anymore if it's 300summons later..... this should be a reward for playing the game around a month or something, not more than a year. It's ridiculously bad in design as it is and I don't get what it's goal even is. Not to mention by the time players finally get access to it, they might well have gotten the characters from pulling depending on their luck, or maybe they are straight up not needed anymore as the meta shifts. Its just silly.
I don't know anyone who plays HSR that it took a year to get 300 summons with. Especially since we only just got to the first anniversary this month (We're 5 days away from a full year of this game being released as of the time of this reply.). It should take you as little as 3 months and at most 6 months to get to that if you play casually, and that's just with the tickets they give you along the way as you're playing the game. I finished the selector summons before even reaching TB lvl 70. All the people I know who didn't finish their 300 selector summons are people who started recently within the last 3 months.
Really the bigger problem with HSR selector at this point is that the majority of those characters just aren't good anymore. After only a year.
@@BocchiTheBox well thats just not accurate, not sure what kind of player you are, but 3 months is nowhere close enough to get 300 summons on the standard banner in my experience and from looking at others online who've made the math. I will say I might of (definitely) exagerated by saying 2 years (I've corrected my original comment), but I dont think one year is that much of an exageration at all. I'm lowspender (will buy the monthly + battlepass) and although I did go on hiatus for multiple months from around the release of Topaz up until the last week for Sparkle (about 3months and a half), which means that up to now I've played consistently around 8 months give or take. Yet, I am STILL not done with the standard banner. So unless you spent your premium currency on the standard, please let me know where you conjured those mystical pulls from. While playing, I've always done all my weeklies/dailies, done SU and bought the 5 a month in the store. Only thing im behind on is a couple of side quests and Swarm disaster/G&G, which I have yet to complete. If a player is completely F2P, its not a stretch to say they would only complete it after a year, or close to. And at that point, my argument stands that this is too far too late anyways.
@@BocchiTheBox I've also looked up forums where players share their experience and pretty much all F2P players that played since release say that they got their 300pulls completed within the last month, so it took them either a year or close to, around 11 to 12 months for some.

I also didn't say 3 months. I said 3 to 6 months. I gave a range and even said 6 months for casual. It took me 5 months, but I know people who got it in 3 months, but a large part of that was cause they were spending jades on the discounted banner at the start instead of gathering the tickets for the discounted banner thus still had tons of tickets to spare for the actual standard banner. Literal rookie mistake for them.
Are you leveling up all your characters regardless of if you plan to use them? 3 per character, and with just the free ones alone we already have 39 as of now, but going back months for you sake taking away 3 characters doesn't change much and you're probably summoning on the Premium banner for more characters anyway so that amount is way higher.
Trailblaze level rewards for talking to Paimon is also over 30 tickets.
Went through the world shops in Herta Space Station, Boulder Town, and Luofu and brought out the entire stores, more tickets there.
Free Battle Pass tier so you don't need to spend money in that regard. Cause tickets are obtainable in the free tier alone.
Some events will grant tickets as rewards upon completion. An example is the Aurum Alley event.
Pretty sure some random Story missions also provide tickets not sure which ones all I know is all of a sudden that number went up and all I was doing was autoplaying text while following a waypoint.
Accounts when they start are also rewarded for reaching level 35 with 40 tickets.
Pretty sure there's some other random things I don't remember at the moment that also gave tickets, but also certain those other random things are just more events.
And of course, I excluded Penacony in all of this. cause that would skew things too much.

I also didn't say 3 months. I said 3 to 6 months and even specified 6 months as casual. Which if you want to know how casual I am. I got the returner event twice already. 3 months are for the people I know that did the common mistake of spending jades on the starter banner. You know the one that is discounted. I know a lot of people who did that rookie mistake. So they of course got it way faster than most.
Did you empty out all the world shops? The ones tied to Herta space station, Boulder Town, and the Luofu.
Are you leveling up your characters regardless of whether or not you plan to use them?
Leveling up your account in and of itself also gives 70 tickets. (one through Paimon, another through Equilibrium challenges, and the other through Trailblazing Will (had to look up the name again)
A lot of random events Hoyo has also gives out tickets as rewards. Hard to pinpoint exactly which ones, but Aurum Alley event is easy to point at since it still exists.
Pretty sure random story missions also gave some tickets. Not sure all I did was follow a waypoint and autoplay text. As well as often times being a first clear reward for many farmable stages like difficulty one SU.
Free Battle Pass Tier also gives out tickets.
Probably a bunch of other random stuff that neither you nor I mentioned that we can't be bothered to remember.
Of course I am avoiding Penacony in all of this, cause that will heavily skew everything. Either way you should have gotten enough a long time ago, and that will only be easier for newer players as time moves on. So that time will only ever drop it takes for even a casual like me will only ever drop for future casuals.

You are stuck doing a minigame longer than doing combat. Most people don't play action combat games to do something that isn't combat for 80% so the gameplay loop

Genshin was great, but with time it became stale. HSR is good, but the powercreep starts to feel ridiculous. ZZZ is much smaller game than these two so the new one will be WuWa for me. Open world+good combat is much better, than hub mini world of ZZZ where you cannot even see your characters outside of combat.

When it comes to pity systems, the real competitor that Hoyoverse needs to look at is Honkai Impact because there's no 50/50, you either get what you want before hitting pity or you don't. However, that's all in the cost of 280 currency per pull instead of Genshin and Star Rail's 160 per pull. In my opinion, I think that's a fair trade.

See that’s the only major thing they were capable of fixing, it only allows you to play for a little longer or you can speed up the process for just a tiny bit. Prove to me something that ZZZ does unique, give me a justified reason as a consumer to keep supporting your new IP long term. Even with this beta, regardless of combat and nice looking characters I haven’t seen that at all.
I hasten to disappoint you - then no game coming out in the near future will give you anything unique.

If the reason is because you just want to promote ZZZ hype and less doom posting then it’s no better. Hoyo as unreliable as they are known nowadays, you cannot expect the game to be 100% guaranteed hit or even be supported long term. All I’m saying is ZZZ is trying to be unique, but it’s not as impactful unless they give players actual incentives and not just a repeat of genshins cycle.
They don't need new things. HSR is exactly "Genshin but turn-based", and it sells extremely well. Because you are not playing a new game and studying new systems, you are practically given a Genshin-DLC, which is very convenient and makes picking up said game easier.
@@GolgothianSylex Nothing about ZZZ is “genshin related.” It isn’t honkai branded as well. It’s a new IP without any references to previous games, trying to be unique but in a weird way.
Hoyo will now have 4 well known games to its business model. You’d best assume their intentions are making money from desperate people, but if that content and marketing falls off like genshin does, well it’s gonna be another redundant phase for gacha gaming under hoyo. So again, players and the devs need to prove how ZZZ will be special or be better from previous games.

I'm honestly confused as to why they thought they could even get away with the old Stamina system... Like, come on now Hoyoverse, you already had a "good" stamina system going on with both Genshin and Star Rail... Why go back to an outdated and ultimately inferior system when YOU already came up with a MUCH better one for your two previous games?
It felt like they were going backwards with that one.
Don't get me wrong though, I'm friggin' GLAD that they removed the cost from most comissions. Because that would've been a massive dealbreaker for me and many others.

@@Violet-0 turn-based can be different. For example, last Canto of Limbus Company is very hard and actually requires you to not misplay. And there are no such things in HSR.

There is only one leaderboard - in arcade games. Like snake-game (this called Snake Duel, if im not wrong). These are just mini-games in which only your personal skill decides.

Taking out even more TV content defeats the entire point of the MCs then, you might as well not have them in the game at all. Personally I like the TV navigator modes quite a bit coming from Beta 2. I liked the puzzles, the uniqueness it had compared to other Hoyo games, so I'm a little bummed they removed so much of it. Might as well be a full Honkai clone now instead of something unique. That's just my take.

ZZZ looks more ready than Wuwa they already have english va and no localization issues and they already have 30M+ pre-registerations the difference between their release dates might be a week or two but we don't know which is first I personally like this game I will quit PGR and play this

my guy, you are putting out incredibly misleading information. You say the TV System has been severely reduced but it has not. The TV system is incredibly intrusive and kills the game play. Its in Exploration, story, hollow zero and some combat missions. How can you say something so misleading....and yes I am in the beta. Like tell me youre a fan boy without telling me youre a fanboy.
