Lyrically simple songs with bottomless meaningful depth and melodies that make you feel like someone is carrying you on their shoulders. It's mesmerizing addictive, unique and beautiful. The live sets are incredible, the band is sensational.

I went to a Fall Out Boy concert the other day and AWOLNation played before they went on. When they performed this song it was one of the most magical moments I have ever experienced at a concert. Amazing band, incredible performers.

I'm 40 years old and my first concert ever was Awolnation RUN. The reason why it was my first concert, they are one of the few bands that I think it is worth my time and money to see live. I think the music is deeper then it appears. Of course this is just my opinion, I do love the music.

Then everyone pops up in the video.. they were always there...in one way or another ..whether he see's them or not. And he reflects on his life's events thinking 'Maybe all of these things made me who I am'. The lyric 'only looking up when my heads down' i've heard before... you can't see the great things around and above you if you are looking at the ground. Therefore, you can't see all those around you that they are there for you.. which would lead up to why he wants 'you to know' like in the video..they are all connected and with you all the time...wherever you go. BUT the 'hypnotized from the day you were born' I'm drawing a blank.
My kids introduced me to AwolNation. I like their sound. I wasn't sure about the video when it first started until he got to the chorus. LOVED it....all the different people reminded me of all the experiences we have in our lives. How it shapes us into who we are...good and bad and the baggage we bring into every relationship we have. Cool video guys. Love the song...
That closure is just beautiful... Every soft part of this song is very distinctive. And back instruments play do much part to elevate the distinct feel (in a good way)

The contrast brings a strange focus and fascination to looking at him and listening to his words, despite the lack of showy movement on his part.

They all came together in a way that created him as he is, and he is part of creating other people in a similar way from another perspective--but from his own perspective, he's the center of a spiral that has him as the focal point because from his perspective, everything around him affects him. Idk if that was the intention, but I saw people discussing the video, and that's what I got out of it. The "Hollow Moon" is like a "Window" That "I Am" staring at, "Sail"-ing through the "Jailbreak"-ing universe. If you "Kill Your Heroes", "Run" and say it's "Not Your Fault" by saying there was a house, And you had to "Burn it down", though sadly your heroes were in the house.
The only reason I love CS:GO is this music kit. The RoundStart3 (1:16) and RoundAction3 (3:40) warms my heart every time. At first I thought the lyrics of all the songs are terrible. Now I realize they're already engraved into my brain.
I remember listening to awolnation back when sail was popular, but then I as time moved on I went and listened to other music. Then one day, just barely before I loose the ability to play it anymore, CS:GO gets a music kit that brings back the memories of songs I enjoyed and some new songs as well, that while I could not get it, many people had it so I could usually still listen to it. Though I guess I shouldn't be surprised by this since life likes to taunt me by giving me things to remind me past things I enjoyed and then taking things away from me at the same time, only to make me remember how much better my past was. Life knows no limit to when to stop fucking with me and let me enjoy it in the present instead of making me gloss over my past.
