I'm Italian, i have friends in Greece, France and Germany. I've only rarely heard of elfbar and never seen someone smoking it here. Retailers can have their license retreat for selling non approved smoking products

Because they're getting paid off by ops to allow the chinese fent in, and are using the Elfbar and other vape products as a scapegoat to the real Chinese problem. But they dont care, because fent takes WAYYYY MORE hippie minded, counter-culture based, gang affiliated, and general anti-corpo types off the street and out of society permanently. Nicotine products just chip into American tobacco companies bottom line and hurt American producers. So it's a win-win for the gov to allow Chinese fent to continue killing all the 'undesirables', and block Chinese nicotine from hitting US markets under the guise of protecting children.

In my state, I have literally never seen vape advertising anywhere other than a literal vape convention, unless you count prices on display at a gas station as advertising. This whole "Oh just think of the poor children!" shtick is so transparent you could manufacture glass from it. Know what kids did before vapes, back when I was a kid? Cigarettes. Weed. Booze. This is nothing new, and acting like a harm reduction product is the new pandemic is disingenuous, at best.
Me when I'm a whale of a tobacco company and I pay the FDA and federal government to make alternatives to my products more difficult to access and get to be called the good guy the whole time because it's "for the children" (many of my customers started smoking as children)

Yeah… well cigarettes where doing a pretty good job of compeltely falling out of fashion with kids until vapes came along. Very few kids were addicted to cigs during the years preceding the rise of vapes. But once vapes came along suddenly nicotine addiction rates among kids skyrocketed. I agree the idea is somewhat exaggerated but that doesn’t mean there is definitely some truth to it.
My problem is that weed needs to be legalized it’s soooo much easier to get off of the pros out do the cons and all in all makes you just feel good we have two of the worst drugs at disposal and a leaf that is better than all of that nooo it makes you feel funny it’s unproductive (drinks bottle of whiskey while smoking a cigarette) it’s so frustrating

Yeah i dont understand why people act like its this new problem/epidemic. When I was in highschool around 1/2 of my class was smoking cigarettes, most people I know from highschool are smokers now. It's just that nowdays you see teens with a vape instead of a cigarette, which I'd go as far to say that while it's still bad, at least it's slightly better for their health. Teens will always do dumb stuff and get addicted to things, may as well properly regulate them instead of banning them
Yes, kids will still do it. But far less would if they were banned everywhere. Before vapes cigarettes were completely falling out of style and while kids still got them sometimes there were far lower rates of nicotine addiction than when vapes came around. I’m frustrated with soccer moms (and dads) dictating what people should do with their lives. If they don't want their kids to vape, that's their choice. However, it's important to consider that adults who genuinely want to quit tobacco should still have the option to use vaping as a means to achieve that goal.

Also agreed, this is why at my store I ask my customers to bring back their disposed vapes for 10% off. Lets me recycle them and the batteries and makes the customer happy win-win.

Uncle Sugar wasn’t getting their cut from a new product that blew up. The Juul was the only reason I was able to stop smoking. Their juice was the absolute best of the best…..that mango went so hard. The government put a company saving lives into bankruptcy. IF YOUR KIDS VAPE/smoke IT IS YOUR FAULT AND YOURS ONLY. Not a company.
Not true widely sold to children, on the companies not kids kids don’t know better , they hide it from parents. While its good it got you off, still the nicotine companies were targeting kids and smaller stores not caring leads to a child vaping epidemic. So no its not just parents its the actual companies. One more time for the people in the back. All this does is punish adult smokers (I do a little of both). Every generation seems to forget being a rebellious teenager, stealing cigarettes and booze, sneaking out to parties and whatnot. Im 21, my age group was entering middle school when the original box vapes were hitting social media and starting to get into high schools. While I don't think that having flavors implies intentional marketing to kids, it is undeniable that a young teen is gonna think a guy doing tricks with redbull flavored smoke is cool lol. By late middle school small salt nic vapes were everywhere and it was no longer all about the flavor people wanted the buzz. Now a bunch of us are nicotine addicts, most people don't look at vapes or nicotine pouches as devices to use to quit cigarettes or nicotine; we see it as just a bunch of different options for ways to consume nicotine. Its too late to ban vapes just as they couldn't out right ban cigs. Nicotine will just continue to live on as it always has and probably always will. I do think that some of these companies marketing is pretty condemnable considering the use of young people, ridiculous marketing phrases and juul especially having a fucking party mode light on their device lol.

Elfbar is still huge in my state in the U.S. kind of crazy. The vape store even lied to us customers and said it was because the name "Elfbar" was patented before they came out. The fact it only took them 14 days to come back is astonishing.

I started vaping in 2015 when I was in grade 10.. Back then all we had was box mods with 3-4 diffrerent watt settings. I kept vaping though all the different phases.. moving into building my own coils and wicks, freebase to salt nicotine. And I can finally say after vaping for around 8 years I'm finally off of inhaling that greasy shit into my lungs :)

Flavored cigarettes were banned in 2009. The FDA mentioned they were writing legislation on banning menthol over the summer this year. You'll get your wish of a full ban soon. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened by 2030.

Technically you could allow Juul to become popular again through whatever flavors they'd like to sell, it becomes defacto leader of vaping again in the states after some time, especially after running specifically a campaign to distrust chinese vapes, and later the fda enforce whatever changes just slowly over time.

Vaping has helped get me off cigarettes. Im 33 and I was smoking a pack and a half a day. I've tried to quit nicotine with zero success and way too much anxiety. If I wasn't able to get flavored vape products anymore I would literally have to turn back to smoking. These regulations can literally lead to deaths including mine

They’re not outright banning vapes, I have no idea where you got that idea from. They’re talking about banning fruity, seemingly kid appealing flavors. You’ll still be able to use vapes no matter what they do. You just might not be able to get “mango pineapple ice” flavor anymore

Thing is man i always remember kids smoking cigarettes in highschool. Hell there was even a group of kids who got together to smoke at lunch. E cigarettes just make it easier. I think the real problem lies with adults allowing it. Plus there are so many disposable vape brands. Fda is gonna have there work cut out for them.
It’s not so much adults allowing it, it is just they are so accessible for teenagers, I mean If I wanted to I could buy 10 rn despite being underage. The underground vape market is the easiest marketplace to find in schools and as he said the provided convenience of vape technology has allowed teens to become more discreet about their smoking habits. Also I’d argue they are much more addictive considering cigarettes taste like shit and the medium of intake in a vape is like the phone equivalent to smoking.
They also barely suffer the stigma that cigarettes do, if you smoke a cigarette around kid vapers today some would pre-mourn you like they weren’t doing the same thing.

The flavor ban, to this day is bullshit. Why is it a companies issue when kids illegally use their product? It's the parents problem if they aren't being involved. The same argument cant be made with fruity alcohol. But is there any issues with that being sold? No, because they know the argument is shit, and banning certain e cig options is just to make them look good in the eyes of certain voters.

I managed to quit last year after 3 years of addiction. Never vaped an elf bar, just Juuls. These literally look like baby toys.
Coming from a guy who works at a vape shop- elfbar still has multiple brands like lost mary, funky republic, and more recently rabbeats so they're still on shelves and making their money. I also preferred when we sold cartridge based vapes because most people go through 1 or 2 disposables a week which means they're throwing away 1 to 2 batteries a week compared to just a little plastic cartridge. No matter what you do you won't be able to keep alcohol, vapes, and drugs away from kids. They always find a way to get it either through an older friend or a clueless grandparent
As of 1/27/23 they have Elfbar, Lost Mary, Rabbeats, Space Mary, funky republic/funky land, and OffStamp (offstamp has a removable battery pack)

@nicholi8208 a agree but rabbeats is worse, when the display says 0% juice it won't allow you to use it anymore where every other disposable with a screen will still let you hit it with 0 juice and most of the time you can still get another day out of it.
I’m glad people are talking about this. I’ve been through the vape stages, sub ohm, pod systems, disposables. By far I think the one brand of vape that’s made me the most sick is elf bar. Just made my lungs hurt and made me sick more often than not, I didn’t notice the lung pain with ebdesign, though I only tried about 2 of those disposables.
Please, if you’re going to vape, look into what brands you’re consuming and maybe also the eco footprint of said devices. Be extremely careful of the source as well, only buy from shops licensed to sell that stuff, and overall? Best and healthiest option is to quit vaping.
How about you look into the fact that hundreds of other brands that used to be available have been banned or put out of business and THAT'S why Elfbar got so popular? It's thanks to legislation that the market gets smaller and smaller and so instead of switching brands, people just stick to what's available even if it makes them sick.

Same I vaped for around 6 years, free base, salt nic, mods, aio, pod systems everything, when I was finally making an attempt to quit elfbars had just came out, I had been using 60mg salt nic for years at this point and when I bought the elf bar I told myself I was gonna hit it less than I normally do and I kept track just to be sure, within the first 2 I bought I had gotten "nic sick" my chest hurt, I couldn't breathe I started vomiting, then I felt fuzzy like I and like I remember saying I think I'm gonna pass out and then I woke up, ambulance, and confused like I didn't know what happened and they said I had a seizure, I had scans done and everything, it's been over a year I've never had a seizure before that and I still haven't had another to this day. Me and the doctors agree that it must've been the nicotine, but I genuinely think elf bar is putting more nicotine in the juice then they say.
Yeah. I'm in the industry. People don't buy Elfbars and derivatives that often. The one I do sell a noted amount of? Geekvape's RAZ line. Many customers have mentioned that it just hits better and much less harsh.

Mushrooms did wonders in my life. Over the course of my life, I've suffered from uncontrollable, depression, anxiety, alcohol, smoking, and illicit pills addiction. It’s a bit ridiculous that the fda has granted them selves this power same as their push to regulate alcohol the atf is supposed to regulate alcoholic tobacco and firearms. The fda shouldn’t even be making these determinations with out consent from congress or voters.
Teenagers are already very very addicted to elf bars- Once their sales stop the kids are going to move on to tobacco, The very thing vapes are trying to get people to quit.
I used to vape for a long time, I had used pod systems and had crazy high nicotine level juices at one point being about 70mg salt nic, disposables started to become more popular and I started using them more, but when I started using the elfbars the original ones with the word elfbar on it, I was actively trying to quit and using it less when I started buying the elf bar branded ones, within the first two elfbars I had bough I had a seizure that the doctors and I are very sure was caused by ingesting too much nicotine, based off my personal experience I don't think they are actually at the marked amount of nicotine and were making it stronger than the label since I was using something that was supposed to be weaker or equal to what I was used to and I was actively using it less and keep track of that, after the seizure I quit nicotine entirely

@user-rr4fr8pf3jgreatly depends on location. At least in the city I live in, there are no more elf bars in any of the vape stores. If I want to buy an Elfbar, I have to drive about an hour to the next major city to get one (which I don’t do because I refuse to spend two hours driving just for a goddamn vape. I’ll use other brands instead).
I don’t get the logic that just because something is colorful that it appeals to kids or is supposed to appeal to kids. Let people smoke, there are enough problems in the world, like the economy
I am Romanian. Here a sharp divide starts to form between the veteran teens, who start smoking cigarettes and those who vape. Here most people don't care, the life philosophy of most older people being "Let the kids smoke. You can't stop them, as our parents couldn't stop us, as they couldn't be stopped.". I have literally never seen a store being fined for selling cigarettes or vapes to minors. So, America, this is my message to you: leave nicotine vapes alone, you have more stuff to worry about, like druggies in every big city.

I was smoking a pack of cigarettes a day. Now I buy flavor vapes discreetly and I'm in California and it's great because my friends enjoy being around me more because I'm not smoking cigarettes and they don't smell the smell. So I don't see what's wrong with the flavored vape for somebody who's been smoking a pack of cigarettes today which is really bad for you they also banned menthol cigarettes and I can still buy menthol cigars and that's what I was smoking. But I don't meet too many teenagers who asked me to buy them vapes. I'm never actually had a teenager. Do something like that

How dare you enjoy the flavour of your e-cigarettes! Even though it's completely safe and has only had a few people die from it's use (because they abused it, made their own weird weed juices with poor hygeine, etc) even though every minute someone dies of cancer from smoking tobacco.
I don’t agree with vape companies however the FDA also allows worse products to be green lighted. The reason why America has the lead in heart attacks is because of acceptance in fatty unhealthy foods and not much is being done to stop it.
E-cigarettes aren't safe, they're the same as smoking if not slightly healthier.
They're an alternative to smoking sure, but you're still doing the same thing regardless.

@@thygod4920 I'm one of those healthy people with unlimited energy that looks like they're over 10 years younger than they are. Like my skin radiates and all that and children think I look young enough to be a high schooler on their bus. Started using a vape a little over a year ago and I haven't yet noticed anything negative happening with my body. If I stopped vaping today and switched to one cigarette a day then very fast and obvious changes to how I feel and look would occur. My brain and my energy and my skin and my strength and whatever else haven't noticed that I picked the vape up. The only negative is the little dependence but I'm comfortable with it because I know how to quit nicotine if ever a need arises. And most drugs themselves in a regular dose aren't really as bad as you would think for your health, it's just the type of person who's drawn to them and the lifestyle they adopt that's lead to all the negativity you see. Just have to be SURE exactly what type of human you are and you can have fun while being healthy haha. I wouldn't advise this though I think the percentage of people who could do this is extremely low haha. Maybe I could teach a class hahaha.

I always felt these were wrong simply based on putting so many batteries out there that wont be properly disposed of.
I started buying disposables to finally quit a 25+ year cigarette habit. Very early on I felt like an asshole chucking those things in the trash and purchased a battery mod and my own juices. Which has its own issues but still seems better than tossing batteries in the trash all the time.
I feel flum pebble is the most popular vape in oakland, ca. Its distinguising factor is that you can vape it while charging lol

Dude I wish there was a more nuanced way to make sure this product doesn’t end up in minors hands. There has to be a better way than outright bans. I’m 33 and I love their products and I’ve been able to stop smoking by using those products. Same with my nearly 70 year old father who I NEVER thought would quit smoking.
I know we don’t yet know all the risks but I’ve noticed a remarkable difference in my health alone and when I see the doctor they talk about how much better by lungs sound and how my breathing is better.
Bottom line we need to make sure kids don’t get these but adults still have access.
There is no solution. Kids will always find ways to obtain things. The only difference now is that instead of vaping, kids are actually going to smoke tobacco and be worse off. This really doesnt do anything but make things worse.

I don’t know what the age is to buy a vape here. I’d assume it’s also 21? But yeah you’re right, some minors will always get ahold of these things. But I still think outright bans aren’t the solution. And if they just totally get rid of vaping, kids will probably turn back to smoking again.

The Threshold to enter into Vaping was before these One Use Devices were present was really High.
The High Price got over time way cheaper but it avoided that young Kids could afford it 60 Bucks sound less appealing than 10 bucks.

The current underground vape market at least in the us is heavily propagated by Chinese interests rather then just ordinary company monetary interests, this is prevalent when china or the ccp heavily pushes to import products like fentanyl, vapes, and apps like TikTok, these are all blatant forms of passive economical or informational warfare.

I quit cigs using elf bars, ended up having to switch brands several times and its now difficult to find a decent flavor, I survive off disposables due to how often mods leak and how often I drop the damn thing 😂
