2. Will Swenson actually is more famous for his roles on broadway including Hair,Priscilla,Les Mis, Waitress, and currently Neil Diamond. If you like him, totally check him out bc he's amazing!

Edit: just came back after a few months and I have some more things to say:
-The Murder Ballad song (the titular one) is so chilling and just (chefs kiss)

1. yeah i'm obsessed with his high notes! he has such a clean belt? i have no idea how
2. yes i know i'm a big fan of him!! i'm a broadway fan first and foremost haha so i was so shocked when he popped up in first kill
3. his name is damon daunno! super talented, he was also the original orpheus in hadestown- the live album cast recording is on spotify : ))

@@michael5876 hi! LMAO i just saw ur edits but yes i love rachel bay jones's belt! also i kind of prefer the Bway version staging of murder ballad to the west end one, i feel like the atmosphere is just completely diff across the two productions

the 2019 daniel fish revival is something very.. unique.. in the best way possible- one of my fave pieces of theatre! they have a cast album and some performance videos online : )
warning tho classic oklahoma is veryyy diff from this (classic golden age R&H.. theres a 50s movie version and a 90s west end version starring hugh jackman LMAO)

ahaha have fun! the movie + the hugh jackman proshot are available online (there are lots of diff classic oklahoma renditions available online tbh! its a v sort of old timey classic musical that gets played a lot)
the 2019 revival daniel fish version has no proshot unfortunately.. that version of oklahoma (the one in the vid, the daniel fish one) is currently playing @ the west end with a different cast!

ty! ah unfortunately that 30 second clip is the full released clip in its entirety (if not that section would've been longer)- there just isn't much footage of this revival unfortunately. the good news though is they're filming and releasing a proshot of the upcoming west end run of the show!! and as for people will say we're in love, here are the performances i DO have access to from that revival:

You have fantastic taste. One correction: the “Letters” clip has Scott Stangland as Pierre, not Dave.
oh i see! thank you for that correction : ) i know the show mainly from its broadway version and cast, but scott stangland's pierre seems so amazing and much more disheveled than josh groban's. i feel like josh groban's pierre can be a bit too put together and smooth to be believable if that makes sense, but i still like his performance in the part.
@@helena-0808 There are things I like about all of them (never saw Oak), but my desert island pick is probably Dave. It's crazy that the role works with such vastly different types of voices, though.

no, it'd get copyright and removed from the vid right away- that happens to all the big ALW recordings, like poto 25th, JSC 2012 etc.. plus i feel like its a really popular song that everyone already knows, so i didn't feel like its inclusion was super necessary

hmm its def not for everyone i guess. the singer is rachel bay jones (she was the original broadway casting for heidi (evan's mom) in DEH and she won the tony for it)- i like her version for the emotional quality rather than the vocals itself tbh
