Wow, that's some build!!! I am surprised the small block does not fit as is, as it must be shorter than the original straight 6. You will have a real screamer when you are done!! Draggin' wagons are cool looking, but, like you, they are not my cup of tea. Wagons have migrated from an " oh, dad " car to a " oh, wow " ride through the filter of time. There are a lot of wagon videos on my channel, from Crosley through Rambler to MOPAR, GM and Ford plus a few Volvo, SAAB and even a Rolls Royce shooting break. Wow this popped up on suggestions - I have a real growing love for wagons that I didn't formerly appreciate until recently, turning fifty, and what was wrong with me? Think about it - a Chevelle wagon, any year, how cool is that Lemans had wagons that looked GTO's, Satellites that were Roadrunner wagons. I guess we live and learn and when it comes to cars I'm getting it as my age creeps upwards. And channels like yours Pam certainly pave the way! 👍👍
Getting you hooked is our diabolical plan!!!! We never appreciate our old, family haulers... until we enter the parent zone!!!! The younger generation are discovering the joys of the Dodge/Plymouth mini vans and the wonderful memories evoked by those breadboxes!!! Ah, family haulers!!
Yup I agree. Up in Canada Station Wagons are very popular. Glad I purchased a 2012 Cadillac CTS 4 SportWagen, Luxury Edition. Super Rare. Might be a classic car sooner than later, as Cadillac deleted it after 2014.
Manual transmission?? Great car, and, as you state, Rare!!! What was GM thinking, though? When one thinks wagon, one thinks Chevrolet! Only about 7,000, total, were built between 2010 and 2014. About 157 were manual! Following up the Cadillac wagons was the Buick Regal TourX. It was another, unsupported wagon effort, this time, imported from Germany. Wagons the new cool? If you can find one. I have a 13-y.o. Passat wagon which VW no longer sells in the U.S. (and no, the Jetta doesn't cut it). Buick dropped its Regal wagon a couple years ago. The Subaru Outback is less like a wagon and more like a high riding SUV hybrid. Volvo may be the only wagon left and I'm not a fan of their high prices and cost to repair when necessary. I don't want some boxy, clunky, often poorly designed SUV. Bring back the wagon!
I agree, ria 1000!!!! There are only 19 wagons available in 2022. They are from Audi, Mercedes, Porsche ( a wagon, really??? ), Mini Clubman ( ??? ) and Volvo. What a shame!! Wagons forever!!! Please check out the other wagons on my channel.
@@carshowreporter Ah, forgot about VW's sisters and Mercedes E, but then we're in a different price league (shame on Mercedes for their outsized logo plastered all over the place, a brand that never used to have to "brag." I HATE that big logo on the front now. I would not have one for that simple reason alone). The current Porsche "wagons" don't begin to look like wagons, merely elongated, oddly shaped sedans. And quite ugly. The 2018 Porsche Panorama was a wagon. But who wants a Porsche wagon? And the Mini can't be taken seriously. I'm not a fan of GM or Buick but I may look for a low mileage used Regal wagon, or give in to Volvo. Sigh.
