    I have never known that you can save this bad headlights. Well done. But I think that if you have this much sanding to do, you should definitely remove the headlights from the car. That way you don't end up damaging the paint and you can sand all the way to the edges.

I have this problem with my headlight, relatively new car, but got the spider cracks. I don't know if I am game enough to try though? Can you tell me how long did it take you to go through the process of 60 grit sandpaper to 2000 grit sandpaper? I am just trying to work out my capabilities. Please let me know. Thanks.

    Those cracks are not actually cracks it’s factory clear coat cracked due to heat . Best and easy way to make job easy is to use a paint stripper on the light to remove that in under 5 minutes it will be clean , then start with 1000 grid and go up to 3000 and then polish. Pretty much same results in 1/4th of a time . Excellent results 👌🏼👍

    • @moriovlogs5576
      @moriovlogs5576  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, is not cracks on clear coat, is cracks on plastic. If you look video till the end, you will see some spots is still cracks bcz is too deep on plastic (13:50min) and I didn't sanding with hard sandpaper long enough. Headlights with damage like that, you cannot start with 1000 sandpaper. If you want I will make video with clear coat damage.
      Soon I will post video with very hard and deep scratches on headlight. Everybody told me go and buy new, is not possible to fix.
      Thanks for your comment and see you on next video.

      samuel when you use the last sand paper 2000 or 3000 and when the headlight is still WET, the headlight should be clear as if he was polished all the way, if it’s blurry then it wasn’t saned good. About the wax you should use a paste whit sand granes inside, 3m whit white cap (that’s a stronger version wax) or 3m with green cap (that version is a bit weaker).

      It depends on how much damage there is on the head light. In my case as you can see on the video i used 60,80,120,240... and so on. I finished with 2000 but if you can find 3000 than it would be even better.
