We don't have the drought issue so much here in nz but I wondered if sometimes it would be beneficial to compromise syncronization by pruning lower strata a few weeks earlier than the higher ones so the loss of photosynthesis is reduced as the shrubs are back in business when we let the light in after pruning the high and emergent. Any thoughts?
Is there a good source on what to grow in rows for Northern California USA zone 9B. Trying to figure out what trees to grow for biomass then the second layer. All the research I’ve found is New Zealand Europe or Brazil nothing in USA?
This channel is missing scientific review. Is there no journal that has already done experiments on how to best deal with the dry season (it is not a drought) in a syntropic agroforestry system.
syntropic agroforestry is quite recente in terms of scientific studies and its certainly not static but in constant evolution. In any case every place is diferente, a couple of miles from here it's already a diferente condition, there is no recipe and we do have to develop to optimize
Just discovered your channel fantastic, thank you so much for sharing I’m a year behind but I’ll catch up😊
Great ideas in regards to the Banana vs Gum

Fascinating on balance between shade and mulch.
Thanks for this explanation. I'll adapt that to my trials here in the Mediterranean.
Thank you for sharing your brilliant insights!
