FOR SALE | SITIO DO JAZZ | A Refuge of Charm and Sustainability | Brasilia Brazil
FOR SALE: A Refuge of Charm and Sustainability
Situated on 6.5 hectares within the Rural Nucleus of Lago Oeste Brasilia Brazil, this property epitomizes rural beauty and sustainable living. The main house, boasting Gaúcho-style features with its rustic ovens, barbecue area, and wood-fired pizza oven, stands as the heart of this refuge. Its robust structure, crafted with aroeira pillars and ipê beams, complemented by noble wood doors and windows, exudes an authentic charm.
Featuring 2 bedrooms, including a suite, and a spacious living area divided into 4 sections, it offers views of the pool through glass doors. This house has witnessed a decade of happiness for a family-an incredible place to raise children and relish country life.
A second guest house strategically placed in the Vale da Cafuringa offers a panoramic veranda perfect for gatherings and barbecues.
The property also includes a caretaker's house with two bedrooms.
Agroforestry: Sustainability in Action
Since 2011, agroforestry production has been the focus, with 75% of the area dedicated to productive crops. Various models, such as coffee forests, avocado, timber, and diverse fruit orchards, coexist harmoniously, integrating animal husbandry. Notably, the avocado plantation anticipates significant harvests with approximately 350 planted trees.
Animal Life and Silvopasture
Animal diversity thrives here, with pig, chicken, and horse rearing. Rotational agroforestry pastures are an international benchmark, integrating pasture and nutritional supplements through strategic planting of shrubs and plants. High-productivity grasses with elevated nutritional value are efficiently irrigated during dry seasons.
Quality Infrastructure
The property boasts essential structures, including an organic cachaça distillery, a pavilion equipped for animals, covered and external corrals, and an advanced-stage agro-industrial shed intended for cheese and yogurt production.
The Enchantment of the Region
The Rural Nucleus of Lago Oeste is an ecological paradise, preserved by nature and adorned with the most beautiful landscapes in the Federal District. Nestled within the APA of the Central Plateau and the APA of Cafuringa, it houses the Biological Reserve of Contagem and part of the Brasília National Park. Renowned for its bioecological and organic production, Lago Oeste is a hub for high-quality horticulture, special coffees, animal husbandry, and dairy products.
This property is not just land; it embodies a lifestyle prioritizing health, well-being, and a rich tapestry of experiences.

I have about 50 potted in all stages here in Southern Cal USA zone 10b. Started from a couple store bought, neglected in the last year due to knee replacement. My harvest was eaten by critters in our yard. I just spent a day potting all the new pups and slips.. Should have watched this before pulling the slips off the mama plants. Trying to figure out how to enclose my mini plantation to prevent the critters from eating the harvest next year. Any suggestions? Also in another one of your videos you used manure but I didn't know what type it was that you used. From what animal or does it mater. Here we have access to chicken and cow.

No wonder it's taken so long to get pineapples. My bf planted tops. But this year, a baby plant has produced a pup coming out the side of the bottom of that plant. The mother of that plant finally gave another pineapple. Thankfully, Google brought me to your channel.

I am in the Canaries and I am happy to learn what nobody told me here! You didn't mention keeping the narrow leaved pups, and I was told to remove the more rounded leaved ones... Maybe it has to do with our variety? They say round leaves = more leaf & less fruit!

I only stumbled on this TH-cam channel this morning, but the food forest concept is close to my heart. Just in case you have not already planted a few hundred trees of Borojoa patinoi, I would like to be the first one to draw your attention to this Amazon basin native tree, whose fruit contains 300% the percentage of digestible protein in comparison to the protein content of cow meat. Jam-packed with many other vitamins and dietary treasures, the Borojoa fruit is renowned for its aphrodisiac properties throughout South America. Borojoa patinoi MUST be planted in the shade of other trees or its leaves will brown during the tropical dry season, and this means Borojoa can be combined with existing plantation of tree crops like oil palm, cashew, mango, and avocado, thereby maximizing the returns per hectare of land. In its native South America, the Borojoa tree takes six years to reach fruiting maturity at about twelve feet tall, BUT is has been discovered that Boroja starts to produce fruit in FOUR years when planted in West Africa. In my humble opinion, Borojoa patinoi holds the key to alleviating world hunger because, throughout this planet's Equatorial belt spanning Asia, Africa, and South America, virtually ALL existing tree plantations can be planted with the shade-loving Borojoa tree as a companion tree crop, thus sowing the seeds to reap TWO streams of income for every hectare of land planted with shade trees anywhere in the tropics. In short, thousands of hectares of Borojoa can be established throughout the tropics WitHOUT felling a single tree of old-growth forest.

The last time I flew from Houston Texas to Chicago I was very sad to see what we have done to the soil through our monoculture practices and use of 26:04 industrial chemical fertilizers. No natural soil exists. We will have created desert in 50 / 100 years

We always recommend your videos and courses to everyone we meet. Thank you for helping me and family recover our land in Australia. It is a small plot, which once had no trees and was used for cow pasture... now it is a thriving eco-system after a mere 3 years. Muito obrigado e boa sorte na proxima jornada de voces. Espero participar de algum workshop de voces quando estiver no Brasil. Um grande abraco de uma amigo distante da Australia.

I planted the top of a store bought pineapple two years ago & it produced a pup about 3-4 months later. That pup is now fully grown getting ready to fruit in its center. I never detached the pup from its mother buried under the soil. The plant grew much larger than I expected but it’s my favorite plant. Growing in Florida, USA!

Your videos genuinely changed my life. In a world of war and environmental destruction, the teachings of syntropic agroforestry, largely through your videos, showed me perhaps one of the oldest ways that humans can operate as a force for good in this world. Two years ago I did a project in senior year of high school building a garden inspired by your teachings. I wish you guys the absolute best and look forward to whatever comes next.
