Your solution did semi help but I did some further testing and your solution only works for that exact session, so if you turn the game off with the mod install that's causing the issue and then reboot the game the same issue where no audio the issue persists. But by all means it is a temporary fix what you showed it's just not a permanent one but I appreciate that you went on your way to tell people how to fix this nonetheless.
That works, thanks!! BGS should have named this game Star Reboot. Between this bug and countless others, I've never had to reboot a game this much in my life.
Everyone else is like "delete your mods and start over, or spend hours figuring out the ONE mod out of them all that's the problem." Tested and explained takes less than ONE minute to fix the whole problem.
And if it doesn't work just press on your controller the pause or 3 line button on starfield and go to manage game and add-ons and go to saved date and delete the reserved space option by pressing the pause button or 3 line button on your controller if you have modes on well I'm sorry buy you are going to reinstall all of them this method also works for infinite reloading on creations you are going to have to reinstall all the mods you downloaded
I know this is a lot to ask and I'm sure so many others have been wanting to know but does anybody know which mod or mods disable the sound? This is a good temporary fix and I don't mind doing this process every time but it'd be better to just remove the mod or mods altogether.
The thing is it’s random for everyone. Some people have the same one but a lot of problems come from a variety of mods. It doesn’t make sense but I had to get rid of the sci-fi loading screen mod and it worked while other have a problem with the earth restored at the weapon mods.
Still a temp fix nonetheless, still did a better job with directions then Bethesda, at least this actually fixed the issue for your play session but yeah sucks u gotta do it everytime, still better then no sound tho
What I did was disabled the mods, restarted the game and let the mods off and my sound is back… sucks not to have the pistol I he but I prefer my sound… if anyone else finds a way to do it and keep the mods let me know cause the method in the video didn’t work for me.. my sound came on and when I enabled the mods the sound left immediate so this time I left them off and my sound is back 🤷🏿♂️🫤
I spent 2 days messing about with mods trying to fix this issue, I'm so glad I found your video, thank you so much for helping
*It worked! How is it some random dude on TH-cam is more useful than an official website? Pathetic. SMH. THANK YOU,DUDE!!!!*
I had no sound with only my weapons (firing & reloading), other sounds were there, and this still worked for me too.
It should have work if the music is at full earrape volume when you start the game, that's the sign.
For Xbox if you have a lot of mods, hit the menu button on the load order screen. You can disable/enable all at once.

Thank you so much!! This happened twice I fixed it without knowing how the first time hope this video stays at the top
IT WORKED!!!!!!!! I'm glad I found your video. I had no idea what was the last thing I downloaded before this issue.
That works, thanks!!
BGS should have named this game Star Reboot.

It just keeps crashing when I try to play it after restarting, then I'm back to having no sound again.
For me I fixed mine by disabling all mods restarting game and see if sound is there mines happened to be the sci-fi loading screen replacers
Did you delete the loading screen mod, and if you did, did that stop the problem? Thank you for any response

I love you
شكرا ياصاح
It’s not a permanent fix. You will have to do this every time you load up the game.
I fixed this for me by removing the more intresting crew mod.
Thanks everyone please subscribe to this Guy
It woooorks yeeees
Earth Restored was the only mod was causing my xbox to lose sound. Removing it from my list solve it, your solution didn't do nothing.
This isn’t a permanent fix. Every time you quit the game it and load it back up you will have this issue
Still a temp fix nonetheless, still did a better job with directions then Bethesda, at least this actually fixed the issue for your play session but yeah sucks u gotta do it everytime, still better then no sound tho
Bethesda: we have mods for console. Also Bethesda: audio interference and bugs when mods are enabled are not our fault.
If we are paying for mods they should work
I hate this dev so much every time my game crashs which is every 15 mins all. Sounds. Cut need to uninstall
Didn’t work.

Custom weather dynamics and the paid eon pistol mod have been reported to cause audio problems
