WWE 2K23 Online Servers Closing September 30th - Time For Another Rant On This POS Company!

My friend had told me last night about this and looked it up online and I really can't believe they're going to close the servers on a game that's not even 2 years old yet. This is ridiculous and I feel now is the best time to finally boycott this shitty ass company. I'm sick and tired of these money hungry AAA devs now that want to force you to do as they want. This needs to end now smh!

I've missed the days of playing earlier wrestling games from WCW Nitro, No Mercy, WWF Smackdown, and the PS2/ Xbox era was the last time I've touched any games being a life-long wrestling fan for years.
The way I see it is this, I can somewhat understand the business practices and nature physically speaking on why 2K religiously keeps releasing the same games every year with some modifications, and instead having to shove content down their throats.
Back then, wrestling games like Shut Your Mouth, Just Bring It, Here Comes The Pain and the WWE Raw Vs Smackdown segments from first game till 2007 to me was the last great era of that time.
I've tried to support 2K in revitalizing a modern-day approach for these games, but 2k19 was the best one they've ever done when 2K took the licenses and improved significantly that should've been from the start when 2k16, 17 and 18 came out.
2k20 was abysmal, and I hope one day there's a company that will bring the fire and desire to incorporate real life wrestling mechanics, and additionally add arcade like structures where its a mix of old school and modern.
I agree with you about how it's incredibly frustrating and unfair that people keep buying these games yearly and then servers hit the bricks just shortly after and this company should've known better that fans wanted a proper, natural and easy-to-use wrestling games that can be fun, exciting and accessible.
It's bullshit, that's why I rather just stick to the old titles because at least it's pure nostalgia and if 2K wants to continuously bring that power, kudos for them but for me I'll just stay with the banger games such as Here Comes The Pain, Just Bring It, Shut Your Mouth and Raw vs Smackdown since that's peak wrestling games.

I definitely agree! All of those games you mentioned I loved playing back then and still do now lol I recently review Smackdown vs Raw 08 and have many pickup videos with many of these old wrestling games I got back in my possession.
I want to buy back the two Smackdown games on the PS1, No Mercy, and the WCW games even though they weren't the best I've heard, I still want them. Anything is better than the current wrestling games from 2K. I also agree, the PS2/Xbox era was the last best of wrestling games. They're not the same anymore.
Yes, they definitely need to add back the arcade elements in these wrestling games that made them fun back then like how it was with No Mercy. I also miss the days where there wasn't any dlc and shit, everything can be unlocked from within the game.
They shouldn't be forcing people to upgrade, I think these servers should be opened forever in my opinion because not everyone cares to upgrade to the latest thing and many still prefer playing these older games like myself. I'm happy I did get back many of those games you mentioned on the PS2. I recently spoke about Here Comes The Pain on here and I will do a review on that one in the near future.

I wish 2K did sale the licenses but they signed a new deal with wwe because people liked that boring wwe 2k22 😂 thats why i just stopped buying these wrestling games just a cash grab

They need to! I've been saying that for the longest, they need to sell it to someone else that would care and show the passion for wrestling games. I agree, they're cash grabs now since they added My Faction mode. That mode made them more like a mobile game now lol
