I 100% cannot count the number of time I STILL have this conversation. I left school in 2008 (never graduated) and stopped sailing (non-license) in 2013, but STILL have this conversation alot.
For me it’s an extra 3 classes on my transcript, plus a weekly class/ activity called lead lab, then we have pt twice a week during not covid times, it’s pretty manageable not that bad. Active duty has like 8 extra classes on transcript plus the rest ^

Yes, if he finishes NROTC he'll be commissioned as an ensign in the US Navy. to add a bit more confusion just for you, He's currently enrolled at SUNY Maritime judging from his shirt (and the general lack of joy in his eyes) which is one of six state academies where ROTC is optional. at the Federal Maritime Academy ROTC is not optional and all grads receive a commission as well as their Merchant Marine Officer's License.
