I love how this movie showed a different side of the traditional family dynamic with the *mum* being the one persuing a new career while also balancing motherhood with it. Also the father developing a more nurturing and close bond with his son as he becomes a stay at home dad and eventually opens up a day care centre, which is usually considered a female orientatated job. I love how this movie broke down gender barriers and showed how men and women can work well in jobs generally orientated to towards the opposite sex. I find it very refreshing and generally incredibly cute in the beautiful in the bond between the father and son that grew over the course of the film. 😁🥰
Her philosophy is correct. Children do need structure, routine, and the RIGHT "garden", to tend. However, she runs the school like "our philipsophy is that a child is like a future drone. With extreme rules, a loss of identity, and a one-size-fits-all college curriculum from the 1950's, they'll do what I want." Also, they're not even children yet. They're toddlers. That woman is out of her mind running a pre school 😂
I’ve seen the movie, this scene gets me every time. When I first saw the movie. I was like “that’s a preschool.” Chapman Academy, looks more like a four year Ivy League college. Like what Charlie mentioned in movie “Princeton for preschoolers.” I hate to see the tuition for that preschool probably like $15,000-$20,000 a month. Most middle class families couldn’t afford that preschool. You have to be in upper echelon have incomes of $600,000-$800,000 a year to send your 3-4 year old kid to Chapman. I was wondering what does Chapman Academy Preschool feed those kids at lunch and snack time. In addition, what does the Chapman Academy Preschool curriculum probably looks like, I would love to see what the red folder said that Jenny handed Mrs. Hinton
Yeah, she's really teaching at the wrong level. This is way too heavy for 4 year olds to start learning. They're barely reading yet, let alone ready to learn Latin. 😕
@@marvinthemaniac7698 True. Though there may be some exceptions if they grow-up in a multilingual family. Then again they learn from their parents in *that* case and not their preschool teacher.
Will you upload the scene where they dads trying to convince the other moms to sign their kids up, but the other moms are discriminating/stereotyping? (including the scene where the dads' wives doubt the "experienced" part of the pamphlets/flyers?)
Even though I'm a child at heart and I don't have any kids, let me just say that if I were to have kids and they were starting Pre-K, I would never dare enroll my kids into a highly academic preschool! That's just stupid! Those teachers who work at the Chapman Academy should be ashamed of themselves for how they treat those poor, innocent preschool aged kids!
I wonder why she bothered running a daycare she would've been better off running a private college or university so she can teach people more complex stuff who can actually understand it
In todays society Parents would actually enroll their kids to chapman given how much public education has declined...over the years and the only reason why the tuition was so jacked up because of lack of competition Also chapman had the right idea of teaching kids self defense and teaching languages at a young age
Hi Isaiah, I’ve have the Daddy Day Care DVD. When I first saw the movie, I was like, “that’s a Preschool, looks more a college, a four year university.” Charlie dubbed “Like Princeton for Preschoolers.” In the scene before this. Like what you mentioned, I hate to see the tuition per month for Chapman Academy, I was the same thing, how much the tuition per month. It had to guess, I say approximately $15,000 a month.
Lol this place is actually good tho. The type of place that produces doctors and lawyers while Eddie's day care produces drop outs and McDonald's employees.
Really? A rude snobby kid who showed all the signs of becoming a future bully became kind and respectful. A kid who only wanted to be flash and refused to take off the costume became happy with his own identity.

thing we lack in 2023 in the progressive days where tradition value are thrown in the trash
trump 2024
One of my favorite childhood movies ever
0:34 So basically, she wants children to grow HER way and act like adults instead of THEIR way like they should.
The mere fact that she compares these little children to seedlings / plants that she can nurture should be a RED FLAG.
Having worked at a daycare for over a year now, just makes me appreciate this movie even more.
Eddie Murphy always hilarious.. His face always make me laugh.. I love this man.. 😂😂😂😂
He did good in Shrek.
@@ryangomez2093 and in The Haunted Mansion, Mulan, and Tower Heist.
@@thaitemple1807 Yep
He also voiced Mr. Church in the movie.

Probably steak au poivre, maybe with a side or foie gras so their palettes can be educated was well as their minds
So the Grand High Witch is in charge of the daycare?!
Yes.
Lol love the detail that Ben is scared of the principal
Forgot how good this movie was
2:31 "This is the price per year? Well, per month." That would definitely be imaginable in 2024.
Neither would living a big house like this family does and arguably them eating together every night.
I like the way Eddie Murphy and Anjelica Huston were interacting in this scene it’s very interesting
1:55 Right in front of everyone🤣

Morticia Addams if she was a freaking Academy director.

Biff Tannen: What do I look like, Paris Hilton? I am NOT a multi-millionaire nor shall my daughter ever go to some expensive preschool!
Donkey/Mushu vs The Grand high witch/Addams Family
Hi. Well! KIM: Yeah, they’re cute. ( phone ringing ) Sorry. ( whispering ): Turn the darn phone off. ALL: Attack! KIDS: Nest. ( imitating rocket ) ( chuckles ) Okay. Well. Ah, Jenny! Ah. Really?
