Dude, catfish dude that is, your boat looks really amazing. The is a beast of a fishing vessel. As for the rods, I am digging the funky colors...LOVE IT! That's a gorgeous piece of water you are fishing and a beautiful sunset your awesome camerawoman captured. Glad to see you back on the water pal!!
"...wished it went faster than 35mph...." First world problems pal. There is a dude in Vietnam who is paddling for Mekong catfish that is willing to trade!! LOL!!
easy fix on speed , if you can put a 225 on it, something like your old merc efi you had on the ranger,, no , not as fuel efficient, but less weight , more torque,,, technology on 4 strokes is still about 10-15 years away from equally the power to weight on a 2 stoke efi or carb motor of the early 80s to 90s.
I'm sorry about my typing I'm new at this hi-tech stuff but I was wondering since you have swapped over to your new rods if you would be interested in selling some of your old twc rods
Hey Steve, I just recently discovered your youtube channel. I will admit technology is not one of my strengths. I always enjoy your videos. As a life long Catfisherman it is great to see guys like you promoting the sport. I know you, Aaron Wheatley, Kris Flores from muddy river catfishing, Luke from catfish and carp, and the Catfish Weekly gentlemen spend a lot of time and energy on what you do. I am sure there are more but I am new to this youtube thing. Thanks for all the videos (I bet I have watched all of them at least twice) I look forward to meeting you at the 2018 Catfish Conference. Will you be there? I will be getting my tickets as soon as they are available and my Leave for is already submitted!! thanks again!!
Welcome back. I believe that Steve lets them go especially the large ones, so you and I but more importantly our kids and grandkids have a chance to inherit our sport. Great rods I have three.
Steve i want thank you for what you have done for the catfishing world. Your style of fishing is what i love. Im still learning, and love trying new stuff. June 10 2018 i was live on my youtube channel at night. I put a 44 pound bluecat in the boat. I just want to enjoy catfishing and maybe entertain a few people. Thanks again Steve 🇺🇸
I have the rippin lips rods and love them ,but man o man I really love the looks of your new monster catfish rods, may have to beg the wife for one.lol...would make a great Christmas gift.glad to see you back in action steve.
Scott you would love them new rods.I bought 6 Big Cat Fever Rods and 2 Monster Rods. I liked the monster rods so much better I sold all six of my BCF rods and bought 4 more monster rods.
Nice looking rods the show up really good in the lights. Love my rod holders I was one of those guys keeping you busy. Glad to see you found some time for that new boat.
Steve, just wanted to say thanks for the great clips. I am a newbie to cat fishing and I've learned a lot from you. You've really inspired me. I've had limited success thus far and am a bit intimidated by the river. Anchoring and keeping my bait from being swept by current have been challenging and frustrating. You make it look so easy, but it is not. I fish the Mississippi River from Chotard Landing and Resort near Vicksburg, Mississippi (check out website), owned and operated by Jerry and Margie Johnson, my step father and mother. It's a great fish camp. I also watch Catfish and Carp and Muddy River Catfishing. I've picked up tips from all of you. When fishing I often wish I had one of you guys with me to show me the ropes and shorten the learning curve, but so far I'm managing to make progress. Just yesterday I discovered I can catch Skipjack here, entirely by accident. Thanks again for all the great tips.
Alright Steve, it is so good to see you back on the water...I've said it before I'll say it again..If it wasn't for you I would never have caught and released the Monster cats that I have caught...Thank you Steve...
hey Steve I live in knoxville tn so I fish alot in the tn river I been using cut shad the biggest one I cought was 28 pound blue cat. and I love your vids ....... got any pointers to catching bigger ones but I can't really travel... thanks again
Thanks for another great video Steve. Figures you have been busy. Hope things are going well. I'll be watching for the next one. Take Care. I really appreciate your CPR ethics.
Steve, you need to come to Watauga Lake here in East Tennessee. Monster cats live there, at night at the upper end of the lake you are able to catch catfish 80 pounds or more.
it would be awesome to fish with you......the way the pole bends is what i love, and its a surpise when they hit, never knowing when theyll hit....keep the awesome videos coming, EVERY video is awesome ......
Awesome fish, awesome video. Wish we had some blues where I'm at, but I still have a lot of fun with channel cat and flathead. They all know how to fight!
That evening bite is the best bite!! I get some good ones really early in the morning also. I love my Monster Rod, I keep it excessively clean though lol. Glad to see you getting some line tug action!
Awesome video sir. Just finish decking out my bass skeeter boat for cats. Never been much of a bass fisher. How's your leg...remembering you cutting carp and cutting deep into your leg. Well hello from Oklahoma...great to see u again.
Steve, you are sweating so bad you look to be in need of a frosty cold one, or two. A hot, humid summer night, when it is too hot to sleep, is perfect catfishing time.
Great to see ya back on the water Steve its been awhile...I dont know bout them rod colors might have to grow on me...remind me of Hulk Hogans outfit lol
Hey what's up Steve Douglas I glade to see you put up a video I thought you left TH-cam are forgot about your fans but any way great video as always hope to see more from you cause it been awhile again great video
I love the color on the new rods. They're awesome. It's just that they're a little too heavy for the channel catfish I catch. Any chance you guys will make a whisker whip version in medium action? I would buy it!
Hey Steve I was wondering if u have any military discounts ? I just got out of the USMC and working a regular factory job but still appreciate some of the finer things in life and just love all your videos and I have to get my hands on one of those rods but can’t swing $80 something $$$ for a rod
Hey Steve. New to your channel, but making up for lost time. You are doing a great job. Love night fishing, but the lights are a catch 22 situation. Need to see to film, but they sure do attract every bug in the area. Keep up the good work.
yes sir, but i do choose light over the bugs, i like to see what im doing. got my new boat lit up like a ball field like in this vid. thanks for stopping by to leave a comment. th-cam.com/video/BWbjy7y5LVk/w-d-xo.html
Steve, what kind of Guarantee are on these Rods? Just looked at the price and I can almost get 3 Silver Cat Rods I use for the price. Have had great luck with them but am interesting in trying yours if it can hold up to the punishment of the Big Flat heads I catch in the Mississippi River. Are they Guaranteed?
Glad business is going good. Thanks for the great video. Those big cats are not that good to eat. Just my opinion on that. Plus it takes some time for them to get that big 👍. I like the looks of that new rod
glad to see ya back on the water, but like the rest of us, gotta make that money first. look forward to seeing more videos. I havnt drift fished all year, but done really well anchoring up on structure up here at watts bar.

Aye Steve Douglas I like watching your videos and I fish for flaties my self and don't catch em alot mostly channels and ik some one you know Steven with tattoos allover his arms
he turned them loose because he knows it is the right thing to do. if you can't understand that then you'll be part of reason we see them disappear in our river systems .
Just showed your ignorance big time! There is NO shortage period! The reason folks like Steve throw them back is so they can get even bigger and their chances of Trophy fish increases. Not because there is a shortage! Keep believing that crap!
Put the big ones back eat the Lil ones that is how professionals do if you don't want to be professional then go around showing your ass I don't care what you do you bought a license like everyone else
Mr. Steve I don't like to say this but the folks around these parts would never release any fish the size that you catch in your videos. I know why you release them for . I release the big ones as well for about the same reason as you do. I would have to say I fish in one the best rivers in the us . It is the longest free flowing river. So it changes all the time . We are always on the hunt for them cats. I enjoy your videos keep up the good work
Dude, catfish dude that is, your boat looks really amazing. The is a beast of a fishing vessel. As for the rods, I am digging the funky colors...LOVE IT!
