    Glad i kept my Panini order receipts from years ago. Whenever i sell a big card, i'm going to attach them to the listing.

    I sold the Iniesta and Karim Benzema stickers out from Panini, Italy around 8 years ago. All of the Benzema stickers came off centered and the Iniesta stickers were slightly off centered, but not all perfect. BGS graded my Iniesta's 8.5's and 9's for the centering. I got more gems for the head shot version sticker.

    Read about 5 of Brianpinas9 comments and replies to other comments & I completely agree with most of his takes and concerns.
    Also that one Italian guy who owns a coffee shop, his TH-cam is something like, "calcio cards & coffee" and he's for years stated that stickers are so easy to fake (and are faked) that its better to stay away from them. I dont like a lot of his treble pump but he was right on the money with his sticker take

    All the big cards sold out from Panini around 2018-19. They no longer allowed orders to be submitted via email. This includes the Panini Foot 2007 and Panini Superliga 2002-03 stickers etc.

    When PSA will come to Europe to grade cards and stickers the market will change in the good way for collectors i guess
    Maybe
    I Hope So 😁

    I wonder if eBay authentication will start to reject these fake stickers. They should to protect their customers.

    • @blueodum

      eBay authentication does not authenticate already graded stickers, it checks to see if the slab is legit and the post title/description match the item.

    What happens if someone has a Ronaldinho 99 PSA 10 sticker Pop 2 and all of a sudden 60 get recently graded as PSA 10's? That person's going to be denied a huge sale, due to criminal activity and incompetence on PSA's behalf. It's not good

    Been hearing chatter about this. Thanks for laying out all the details. I was curious about stickers before but now I think Ill stay away unless I can be 100% sure about it's authenticity.
    Could stuff like this be happening with cards too?

      He purchased them from a dodgy dealer in Italy though. These stickers sold out from Panini around 8 years ago. They tend to come slightly off centered too. I think Paulo, the Portuguese guy submitted a few of these which came out of the packs and he admitted that they aren't perfect. Why weren't they submitted during the boom? Why so many 10's when it's hard to gem? It's obviously they're fakes

      @@SylvainMarveaux9dodgy dealer? Have i ever spoken to you? Who are you? You know nothing about what I do. Instead of spreading false lies, come to talk to me and I’ll show you proof. Constant negativity is genuinely unbelievable. EVERYTHING is possible in the hobby. Finding stickers is what I do, I have absolutely nothing to lie about, I’ve always been open to answering anyones questions, but time after time, the same people don’t want to listen to a word im saying, or believe the photos i send. Why send to PSA all the time if i’m “printing fakes”? Spreading rumours like this is very messed up, trying to ruin my reputation when i worked so hard to be where I am, but it’s people like you who make others not want to be in the hobby, absolutely disgusting behaviour

    There's 108 Iniesta Action shot Panini Superliga 2002-03 stickers graded and only 37 of the head shot version graded. Why the substantial difference? Why has 27 been graded PSA 10's when the head shot version is more easier to gem? The action shot stickers don't come perfectly centered. I have around 12 of these in total. All original and purchased directly from Panini in Modena around 8 years ago until they sold out.

    Fake is possible but to assume based on some pop reports isn’t very reliable. Ibrahimovic for one, isn’t even his rookie sticker and is not on a rare collection - for someone to pay $1k for that is completely bonkers in the first place. Iniesta, also not on a rare collection - completely possible there were boxes in storage. The fact that the gem rate was high is not proof that they are fake - we have no idea how many were not sent in that were deemed not grade worthy. As for Benzema, easily explainable for his incredible season, most of his Madrid career he was criticised for not doing enough.
    Definitely a video worth posting, and is useful, but the message is a little too strong. Yes there is potential for fakes, but not enough evidence to making bold claims. Just because stickers are 20 years old, doesn’t mean there wasn’t a boat load printed.

    • @ChristianBassedas6
      @ChristianBassedas6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      All the fake Benzema 2007 Foot stickers have been reprinted and contain a printing imperfection on the back. These never came centered from Panini in Italy. I have about 10 of them. They sold out years ago. I doubt someone discovered around 1000 sealed boxes and pulled 400 perfectly centered Benzema stickers.

    • @dougjones9522
      @dougjones9522 หลายเดือนก่อน

      explains my own thoughts well (always found those FIFA stickers weirdly overrated). Also if you were going to fake the Iniesta it would make more sense to fake the portrait, and surely any real bad actor would be more subtle and drip them through grading more slowly (which also means selling for more as pop increase is stalled)

    • @blueodum
      @blueodum หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@dougjones9522 The submitter may not have made the fakes, perhaps he just bought them from someone who fakes them or was a middle man for the faker.

    Great video and a very important one for the soccer card collecting community. It's sad that we've come to this place with all the sticker fakes. I'd like to just chalk it up to incompetence on the part of BGS, but the problem is obviously more systemic than that. I only own 1 slabbed sticker on account of these concerns ('86 Panini WC Maradona). I deliberately purchased a PSA-graded copy and a copy in very low grade -- so that I wouldn't feel too burned if if turned out to be fake. I do think the foil stickers might be safer bets right now (e.g., early R9, Muller, Ronaldinho, etc.).

  • @johnbowlus

    At end of the day, we’re complaining about grading, either the authenticity of it but more the gem rate. Stickers should be all gems out of the printer.

    • @UsmntSoccerCards
      @UsmntSoccerCards  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      While they would all be gem in an ideal world. We have to remember these stickers are cheap and meant to be produced in mass and stuck into albums. So they don't need to be in gem mint condition really.

  • @ChristianBassedas6
    @ChristianBassedas6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I think most of the fakes are in PSA slabs. The Benzema Foot 2007 and Iniesta 2002 stickers are definitely fakes. They sold out from Panini years ago and genuinely do not appear to be perfectly centered. When i submitted my Benzema Foot 07 stickers in 2021, only 8 were graded and no 10's were apparent. Out of the 450 graded, there's probably only around 25 that are not fake.

  • @ChristianBassedas6
    @ChristianBassedas6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I mean, how thick can you get? Someone sends in hundreds of valuable stickers and no one questions it. It's a joke. Grading companies don't do their due diligence. Someone could submit 300 Puskas 1946 Nannina stickers and PSA would grade 95% of them PSA 10's.
