Since i discovered clone houses, I'm not wasting money on designer and niche brands. Their prices are unjustified, no fragrance in this world should be higher than 200 bucks, it's just a fragrance after all.
I agree but some designer brands are masterpieces with the opening, dry down, performance, projection, silage and quality oils. Most of the clones might smell similar but can’t compare to the quality. Hopefully losing business to clones might make them lower their prices

@@Joalsecan you give a percentage on how much better you would say designers are compared to clones, as far as the things you mentioned.
@raymondkelley6163 for me, things like asad and sauvage elixir(i own both): they are like 80% similar, maybe 85. Savage elixir smells way more smooth, asad is much more sharp and you can really pick out individual chemicals (its not as well blended)
Sauvage elixir also has this greenness/ barbershop quality that asad is missing.
To me sauvage elixir is much better. I find its rare that clones are actually better than the original in terms of quality.
some niche cannot be cloned or the clones are bad, like some xerjoff fragrances: golden dallah, ivory route, richwood and so on. some amouage and nassomato dont have clones or clones are bad and some house dont even have clones and are my favorite like prada lhomme intense, nishane b612, or V canto fragrances. cut corners where you can, like for liam gray, but you cant always do it. i say combine clones and some expensive high quality frags as well such as xerjoff in your wardrobe
I recently bought a banger for under 30 - Le Chameau Arabia Black Aromato. Great clone of Black Afghano, projects like a beast and lasts 12 hours +

Lattafa Liam is absurdly good...I get multiple compliments wearing it, even if you spray 3-4 spray after showering, and 1 hour later you stay at 1 place for 5 minutes, it fills that room!
Love it. That’s my everyday fragrance.

Got Liam Grey not too long ago and I absolutely love it. And for the price, it’s unbelievable. Will probably be in my top 2 most worn for this upcoming fall and winter. Seriously considering buying a second bottle to keep stored up.

@@Baraka_Obama_ I personally think it’s more of a cooler weather scent that can be worn dressed up or casual. Probably preferably towards the evening, but it’s subtle enough that I think you can wear it anytime of the day. Where I live, most summer days are 90°F+ but we had rain come through that brought the weather down to low 80’s with clouds and I wore it then to a formal meeting. I’ve also worn it casually around the house. The only place I think it could get annoying would be in high heat where the sweetness would be amplified and could be cloying and/or annoying.

I have Bracken Man and Abraaj Brackish, I love them both! Also, the heavy cap from Brackish will fit Amouage bottles if you have a tester with no cap!
Is the difference in quality is very obvious ?
my guess is Blue elecdtrique was more a social media influencer hyped fragrance more than a mainstream popular fragrance that had a ton of sales. Like youtubers hate Myslf but it sells massively to the public.
Nah...it's great stuff. It still for sale on the regular...in Europe.
I believe Blue Electrique was removed from US market because of some chemical ingredient banned by California as a ”possible” cause of cancer.
Very interesting. Especially Triple Threat sounds extraordinary. It's just a bit weird that a big brand like Lattafa doesn't offer testers at all. I'm not blind buying all of their fragrances.
I think it's time for you to do a video about maceration vs. maturation. Help clear up the confusion that continues to spread throughout the fragrance community.

Buddy... its not that difficult to Google it. But if moving your finger a few centimeters to type is too much let me clear it up for you. Maturation is to get older which is what happens to the fragrance. Maceration is something entirely different which has no use when talking fragrances. Whoever started saying maceration clearly just mispronounced it. Stop asking this and google it if you don't believe me. 🤡🤡🤡

These clones are nice to just splurge spray around the house. When you don’t want to spend a ton on the actual scent. I also love using it when mixing it into my unscented candle wax.
I have Abraaj Brackish... Love it ... Reminds Me of the discontinued Aramis Havana. Yeah old school barbershop.
How is the performance of Brackish?
About 2 weeks ago, I picked up a bottle of Exclusif Tabac by Maison Alhambra. The first sprays were amazing, but I'm also gonna try leaning into the superstition surrounding clones and sitting with some oxygen in the bottle to see if it will be even better by fall.
What I REALLY want to see cloned right now is One Million Cologne. They gave me a few sample vials of One Million Cologne with my bottle of Exclusif Tabac, and I was so bummed out because it smells incredible and is discontinued ☹️
It’s true I had afnan turathi couldn’t really smell it didn’t last out of the box, after a week it smelled way noticeable lasted long got compliments
Dude cologne was a BANGER. Had a tester as well and I loved it on colder summer days

Loved my Grandeur Iconic Nuit, Avenue London, and Vintage Radio samples. Going to get full bottles of them soon. I went with Al Nashama Caprice over Iconic Nuit, was able to get it cheaper and it smells similar. Might spring for Al Nashama over VR, and probably pick up Avenue London when my BR540 runs out just to change it up a little.

Come on ash… you just talked about bleu electrique when you got to caprice, what about the scent profile? What do you get in the opening? What does it dry down to? I love vintage radio. I keep hearing that Nashama smells more feminine.
I'd describe it as "lighter" than Vintage Radio, both are bangers but I personally prefer Al Nahshama.

@@Alritealritealrite Your nose would have to really be calibrated to catch the difference, but I love this fragrance DNA so it's worth having both in my opinion.
For me the opening and dry down of Al Nashama is more appropriate in warm weather. Not necessarily better, but maybe more refined than Vintage Radio.

Gensents, love the content!!!!! Can you do a video on a fragrance that blew me away. It was called Midnight in Dubai. The fragrance was complex, sweet and aromatic. The store dealer sprayed it on my arm and it was there the next day unbelievable lasting power. I believe she mentioned that the way it was designed it's not so much alcohol but oil or the processing was extremely different. Can you please do review on it.🎉

Bought Supremacy in Oud almost 3 years ago. The FOULEST thing I have ever smelled. Loud and long lasting. Took forever to get out of the room. It’s tamed down now and it’s looking that it may smell decent in the next 4-5 months. Apparently I got the only bad bottle of the stuff.
