Nice cuts man, I know it takes a lot to get those walk by's, also looks like an amazing spring hike. Snowshoes, ice axe, then shoot up to the summit. Love it
I appreciate those kind words! It was quite nice before the descent. The snow became real fluffy in the PM. I sank a snowshoe and had to dig myself free, lol.
Beautiful! Full watch and like 53 😊😊 I’m amazed that you can hike this with so much snow, but it’s so beautiful with all the snow-capped peaks! Nice views and editing! 🥾🥾
Another solid video. Enjoyed the pano view of the surrounding area. My son and I will be trying our first attempt at actually rock climbing this weekend and still hoping the things open up here so we can do Mt Baker the following weekend. Take care and have fun
Some people will never know that when you go solo with a camera you actually hike the mountain twice. Especially the @5:30 mark. When's your next 14er? I'm interested in heading up.
I appreciate that comment. Not only does it add 4-11 lbs in additional equipment, but yes, the mileage and elevation gain increase. I am thinking Saturday or Sunday. I am considering the Sangre de Cristo before I head back out to the San Juans. What are you eyeing next?
@@WannabeAlpinist I want to do Mt Sneffels, but that'll have to be a late summer one for me. I've never done a 14er this early in the season. I'm looking at next Saturday. I'll shoot you an email to the address I found on your channel.
Thanks Kaleb! I have my eye on the San Juans again this weekend. I wouldn't consider what I am doing alpine climbs but they are great for conditioning for them! Do you live in Colorado and partake in the 14ers?
@@WannabeAlpinist I do! This will be my second 'season' living here. Last year I only did a couple, one in winter. Looking to gain more experience and fitness.
Right on! Getting some winter ones in first season will put summer in perspective for sure. If you are looking for a good training plan/philosophy, check out Steve Houses book, Training for the New Alpinism.
I hiked this thirty years ago. This brought back so many memories. TY for posting this!
Such a fond memory I am sure!
This helped me remember more from my hike here on 6/14/20. Thank you for the beautiful video
The contrast between the shots at the beginning and the ones at the 10:50 mark are astounding!
It really is! The difference between the sunrise shots and midday on the rocks.

I appreciate those kind words Jennifer!
I know how hard it is to capture all this, freaking great man!
Thank you! It definitely takes extra physical and mental effort!
Very cool video. The added time to set up the shots then rehike what you just did. That’s some dedication to the craft.
Thank you Tyler, it added some mileage for sure, hah.

Thank you for the kind words. I hope you and your son have a wonderful time!
Outstanding video! Beautiful hike.
Thank you so much!
Excellent video, i'll give it to you filming solo. You took some wonderful shots and captured the moment. Amazing hike and subbed!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that!
so mystic!
Thank you, the approach was beautiful.
Love the style on this. First hyperlapse was FIRE.
Ah, thank you! I am really happy how it turned out, it was a perfect time to shoot it.

@@willitascend8595 Ah, Mt Sneffels is on my radar. I've heard its absolutely beautiful in the seasonal change.
Cool channel. What's your next climb? Trying to get more alpine climbs in myself.

@@WannabeAlpinist Thanks! This book looks great. Have you done any other 14ers outside of the state? Rainer?
@@KalebSchumaker I haven't, but want to do Liberty Ridge sometime soon.
🙌🏼
Thank you for the video!
